Dynamics of autodyne response formation in microwave generators

The paper presents results of studying the dynamics of autodyne response formation when switching on a radio-pulse microwave generator which is subject to the influence of its own reflection radiation. Basic relations for a step-wise calculation of autodyne response as a function of time delay, autodyne response time constant, distortion parameter and intrinsic parameters of the self-oscillating system are obtained. Calculation and analysis of peculiarities of autodyne signal generation by radio-pulse oscillator are conducted for the cases of motionless and moving reflecting object under relatively low, medium and high inertia properties of the oscillator if compared to the propagation time of the reflected radiation. Experimental research results that confirm conclusions of theoretical analysis are obtained for a common hybrid-integrated autodyne TIGEL-08 module of the 8-mm frequency-range implemented on a planar two-meza Gunn diodes and the same module stabilized by the external high-Q resonator. © 2013 Allerton Press, Inc

Emergency situations associated with infectious diseases dangerous for humans are actual for the Russian Federation. The probability of the occurrence of these events varies for different Russian Federation regions, but also for the individual municipalities of one region. Complex approach to the organization of anti-epidemic readiness for such situations is necessary. This approach should be based on differentiation of municipalities of a Russian Federation region according to the estimation of external and internal epidemiological risks associated. with diseases dangerous for humans. At the federal level the system of epidemiological surveillance is determined for diseases requiring measures for sanitary protection of the territory, and separately for almost every infectious disease, affecting the sanitary-epidemiological welfare of the population of the Russian Federation. In the frames of this study it is offered to consider the probability of the importation of infectious diseases, requiring measures for sanitary protection of the territory, as the external epidemiological risk. Diseases common to man and. animals, other endemic to the Russia infectious diseases, including relevant in regional pathology, are viewed as the potential and real internal epidemiological risk. The purpose of this study is the development of the control system of these epidemiological risks at the Municipal level. The three-level control system of the epidemiological risks according to differentiation of municipalities of a Russian Federation region by criteria of external and. internal epidemiological risks is proposed as a result of this work. The control system allows suggesting a priority orientation of organizational, preventive and anti-epidemic actions in municipalities and. promotes rational distribution of forces and means of Public Health Institutions in cases of emergency situations in the field of sanitary-epidemiological welfare associated with diseases dangerous for humans

A differentiated approach to the organization of measures for sanitary protection of the territory, based on the analysis of the transport and. facility components of risk emergency situations in the field of sanitary-epidemiological welfare of the population is proposed. The total evaluation of the external and. internal components of the risk emergency situations for each municipality of a region of the Russian Federation allows to determine type of readiness to conduct activities of the sanitary protection of the territory for a given area. The ranking of the region of the Russian Federation will contribute to the achievement of optimum readiness of the Institutions of Public Health and. sanitary-epidemiological surveillance at the level of municipalities to the occurrence of diseases, requiring measures of sanitary protection

    Dynamic features of autodyne signals

On the example of classical single-circuit oscillator influenced by reflected signal, a solution of system of differential autodyne equations is obtained by the high-order quasi-static approximation method for the general case of arbitrary delay time of the reflected signal, fast motion of a point-sized reflecting object, and inertia of the oscillator itself. The special features of forming the autodyne response are considered with allowance for the oscillator inertia and its internal parameters, including anisochronous and non-isodromic properties, and dependences of the signal waveform, constant component, and nonlinear distortion coefficient on the distance and the direction of object motion are established. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York

Model of ionic currents through microtubule nanopores and the lumen

It has been suggested that microtubules and other cytoskeletal filaments may act as electrical transmission lines. An electrical circuit model of the microtubule is constructed incorporating features of its cylindrical structure with nanopores in its walls. This model is used to study how ionic conductance along the lumen is affected by flux through the nanopores when an external potential is applied across its two ends. Based on the results of Brownian dynamics simulations, the nanopores were found to have asymmetric inner and outer conductances, manifested as nonlinear IV curves. Our simulations indicate that a combination of this asymmetry and an internal voltage source arising from the motion of the C-terminal tails causes a net current to be pumped across the microtubule wall and propagate down the microtubule through the lumen. This effect is demonstrated to enhance and add directly to the longitudinal current through the lumen resulting from an external voltage source, and could be significant in amplifying low-intensity endogenous currents within the cellular environment or as a nano-bioelectronic device.Comment: 43 pages, 6 figures, revised versio

Studying Seismic Stability of Buildings Constructed Using Lift-Slab Method and Equipped with Rubber-Steel Seismic Isolators

As the construction industry develops, unique unconventional methods of improving the seismic stability of buildings are used. One of these methods is the seismic isolation of buildings using special isolating supports. Rubber steel supports with high damping ability can improve the seismic stability of the building by 1.5 times on average. Since the seismic stability of the buildings constructed using the lift-slab method was set at up to 7 points, we expect to increase it to 8-9 points through the installation of the rubber steel supports in these buildings. The implementation of the current seismic resistance improvement methods for the existing buildings and structures shall help achieve the following: improve the preparation of the authorities and residents to major earthquakes; significantly reduce seismic risks and the consequences of both major earthquakes and industrial disasters caused by earthquakes; provide the economic and social stability of the country in case of emergencies. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. The purpose of this study was to determine priority directions of anti-epidemic readiness of the Russian Federation Region for emergency situations associated with infectious diseases dangerous for humans, at the present stage. Readiness of the Russian Federation region for emergency situations associated with infectious diseases dangerous for humans (anti-epidemic readiness) implies a set of preventive and anti-epidemic measures, implementation of relevant management decisions at the Regional level, which aim to ensure the safety of people living (temporarily located) in conditions of epidemiological risks. Anti-epidemic readiness is provided through targeted distribution of logistics, human resources, scientific methods, and informational resources of public health of the region, taking into account the priority of the organization of preventive measures especially for those infectious diseases that define dominant epidemiological risk in a particular municipality. Efficient use of resources is not possible without administrative, legal and financial support. As the result of the research priority directions of anti-epidemic readiness of the Russian Federation region for emergency situations associated with infectious diseases dangerousfor humans, taking into account the dominant epidemiological risks, are formulated

In the last decade outbreaks and epidemics of infectious diseases dangerous for humans cause tension epidemiological situation in the world and in the Russian Federation. Epidemic manifestation of these diseases has symptoms of emergency situations and requires the use of additional forces and means of Public Health, as well as administrative, legal and financial support. The purpose of this study is formulation of the concept of "public health emergency situations associated with diseases dangerous for humans". In considering of definitions "emergency situation", "disease" and "event" in international and national law, the thesis is confirmed that epidemic manifestation of infectious diseases dangerous for humans, are signs of an emergency. In addition, the interpretation of these terms focuses on the distinction between potential risk and its actual implementation. Consequently, the threat of public health emergency situations should be viewed from the risk methodology, by which we proposed to evaluate internal and external epidemiological risks and to define its dominance for each municipality of the Russian Federation Region. Infectious diseases dangerous for humans which able to cause public health emergency situations, can be divided into three groups. 1. Diseases that form the external epidemiological risk - dangerous infectious diseases requiring measures for sanitary protection of the territory of the Russian Federation. 2. Diseases that form the internal epidemiological risk - dangerous infectious diseases, registration both single and mass indigenous events requires emergency response and using of additional forces and means of public health of the Region. 3. Infectious diseases of importance in regional pathology, prevention of which is to implement long-term programs. In the framework of this paper the definition of "public health emergency situations associated with diseases dangerous for humans" is proposed. It focuses on the feasibility of upgrading approaches to priority directions of anti-epidemic readiness of the Russian Federation Region, taking into account the probability of epidemiological risks

Moving Object Signal Analysis of Autodyne Radars with Linear Types of Frequency

General equations for analysis of the signal formation peculiarities are obtained for the autodyne short-range radar (ASRR) systems both for the case of the fixed and moving reflecting object, using arbitrary types of frequency modulation (FM). The developed mathematical model anticipates the interaction analysis of ASRR with the reflected emission at arbitrary ratio of the delay time τ of the reflected emission and the autodyne signal period Ta. Signal features for the oncoming and outcoming object are considered. The experimental data are obtained on the oscillator made on the 8mm-Gunn diode with the varicap frequency tuning. The fulfilled calculations and experimental investigations of ASRR signals for linear types of FM show that the autodyne frequency both for the moving and fixed reflector exactly corresponds to the frequency of transformed signal obtained in the case of the homodyne system. However, the presence of autodyne signal distortions requires the account in the signal processing devices under conditions, when the distance to the reflecting object is small, and the feedback parameter Cfb is commensurable to 1. The obtained results of autodyne characteristic research in the case when the autodyne signal period is commensurable or even less than delay time show that the distortion of autodyne signal at hypothetical keeping of the reflected amplitude decreases with distance growth. The calculations show that if the feedback parameter exceeds some boundary value even in several times, in higher operation zones of ASRR with FM operation can be provided with formation of quasi-harmonic signals. The obtained analysis results are developed and supplemented of results of known investigations, which were published in previous papers. Revealed regulations of signal formation in ASRR with FM have enough general characteristics and physical interpretation on the base of the step method known in systems with delay. In this connection, the obtained results in this paper can be used in the calculations of autodyne system signals made on semiconductor laser modules with FM
