© 2016, Global Media Journal. All rights reserved. The paper presents the main research results of interests and political attitudes of students conducted in 2014 at the Kazan Federal University and its affiliates in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. The choice of students as a reference group is due to several factors, among which are the highest intellectual and creative potential and high social and political mobility that allows us to speak about the students as potentially active power of social and political changes in the country, and Kazan Federal University was chosen for the reason that it is the largest the highest educational institution in the region including humanitarian, social-science and natural-science directions that allows to consider specifics of respondents. Obtained in the survey data, in comparison with results of previous studies, including results of researches and sociological surveys conducted by the Fund of “Public opinion” (FPO), the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (RPORC) and others leading research centers in Russia, allow us to determine the dynamics of the social and political attitudes of students in the region

Vocabulary and Phraseology in a Bilingual Comparative Study Dictionary

    Get PDF
The article summarizes the domestic experience of the comparative representation of vocabulary and phraseology in academic dictionaries, reveals the possibilities of implementing the comparative aspect in educational lexicography and phraseography. The basic principles of metalanguage bilingual interpretation of lexical and phraseological material are formulated taking into account the degree of languages cognation and the level of language training of dictionary users. The relevance of the study is due to the need to improve the system of lexicographic description of vocabulary and phraseology in a comparative aspect. The novelty of the study lies in addressing the undeveloped comparative problems of bilingual educational lexicography and identifying optimal lexicographic techniques that allow us to show the specifics of the semantic structure of the lexical correlates of two languages, the commonality and lacunarity of the grammatical categories of parts of speech, and the ethnocultural originality of phraseological images. Particular attention is paid to the parameters and methods of the lexicographic description of material related to areas of potential interlanguage interference (interlanguage paronyms and antonyms of cognate Slavic languages; Russian relative and possessive adjectives and corresponding isafet constructions in Turkic languages; discrepancies relevant to any pair of linguistic cultures in a figurative understanding of the realities of the world around us, reflected in phraseological units with a common core component). The expediency of using parallel bilingual parameterization of the mapped units is proved, which ensures the implementation of the principle of dual addressing of the dictionary

Structure and Crystallographic Texture Changes of Ferritic Martensitic Steel Resulting from Thermal Creep and Ageing Tests

    Get PDF
Thermal ageing (650 and 700∘C during 1000, 7000 or 13300 h) and creep (700∘C, 50 MPa) tests of tubes made from ferritic-martensitic steels EK181 and ChS139 were carried out. With the aid of X-ray techniques the investigation of crystallographic texture and structure condition after tests was conducted. Thermal ageing provides substructure enhancement. With the increase of ageing time one can note the decrease of microhardness and X-ray peaks broadening, which indicates inner elastic microstress relaxation. It was revealed that changes of crystallographic texture in the rupture area of steel ChS139 tube after creep test is similar to those after uniaxial tensile test at room temeprature. This indicates the similarity of the mechanisms ofgrain reorientation for creep and tension. Recrystallization occurs in steel EK181 during creep test at temperature 700∘C leading to formation of recrystallization texture. This results in faster failure of steel EK181 (2486 h before rupture) in comparison with steel ChS139 (3426 h)

    Structure-Sensitive Mechanism of Nanographene Failure

The response of a nanographene sheet to external stresses is considered in terms of a mechanochemical reaction. The quantum chemical realization of the approach is based on a coordinate-of-reaction concept for the purpose of introducing a mechanochemical internal coordinate (MIC) that specifies a deformational mode. The related force of response is calculated as the energy gradient along the MIC, while the atomic configuration is optimized over all of the other coordinates under the MIC constant-pitch elongation. The approach is applied to the benzene molecule and (5, 5) nanographene. A drastic anisotropy in the microscopic behavior of both objects under elongation along a MIC has been observed when the MIC is oriented either along or normally to the C-C bonds chain. Both the anisotropy and high stiffness of the nanographene originate at the response of the benzenoid unit to stress.Comment: 19 pages, 7 figures 1 tabl

Sociolinguistic Conditionality of Yakut Language Functioning in Field of School Education: Origins of Incipient Crisis

The results of a sociolinguistic analysis of factors that reduce the language competence of Sakha schoolchildren in a broad extralinguistic context based on field data representing the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the research object is presented in the article. Attention is paid to the functioning of the Yakut language in the field of education, which is undergoing various transformations depending on the course of the state educational policy, the socio-economic state of the region and the processes of globalization, the consequences of which form risks for the ethnocultural component of communities in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation with non-dominant languages. It is argued that the language policy in the field of education, which implements “de jure” bilingual, polylingual models, in the implementation of which the formal approach prevails, actually minimizes the presence of the Yakut language in the education system due to insufficient consideration of linguistic attitudes and the real needs of the Sakha ethnic community. It is noted that the conditions of active contact bilingualism in the regions of the Russian Federation, a variety of ambiguous extralinguistic factors predetermine the strengthening of institutional support, state protectionism in the field of optimal linguistic support of training and educational processes. It is proved that taking into account the experience of research on family, civil language policy can help in obtaining an optimal solution to the problems of language reproduction on regional material

Experimental Study of an Internal Combustion Engine Fueled by a Low-Calorific Value Producer Gas

This paper describes an experimental study of the operation of an internal combustion engine of fueled by a low-calorific value gas. The main operating parameters of low-power ICE were determined. Efficiency was also evaluated when the ICE was converted to operate on producer gas. In the experiment, it was shown that the engine reached a stable operating mode under load and data on the temperature and exhaust gases composition were obtained. According to our estimates, in the steady-state operation of the internal combustion engine with a load, the efficiency factor was about 22 %. When using the model gas, the from generator output power, was about 30-40 % of the nominal value, under variable load conditions. However, it was found that in steady-state operation, the power of the internal combustion engine was 40-55% of the nominal value. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing.
