Fast approximation of visibility dominance using topographic features as targets and the associated uncertainty
An approach to reduce visibility index computation time andmeasure the associated uncertainty in terrain visibility analysesis presented. It is demonstrated that the visibility indexcomputation time in mountainous terrain can be reduced substantially, without any significant information loss, if the lineof sight from each observer on the terrain is drawn only to thefundamental topographic features, i.e., peaks, pits, passes, ridges, and channels. However, the selected sampling of targetsresults in an underestimation of the visibility index ofeach observer. Two simple methods based on iterative comparisonsbetween the real visibility indices and the estimatedvisibility indices have been proposed for a preliminary assessmentof this uncertainty. The method has been demonstratedfor gridded digital elevation models
Cohomological finiteness conditions for a class of metabelian groups
We consider a class of metabelian groups first studied by Baumslag and
Stammbach and we show that these groups are consistent with the Bieri-Groves
conjecture which relates cohomological finiteness conditions to the
Bieri-Neumann-Strebel sigma invariant.Comment: 10 pages Accepted for publication in the Bulletin of the London

Development of Piezoelectric Nano- generator with Super-Capacitor
Harvesting mechanical energy from human motion is an attractive approach for obtaining clean and sustainable electric energy to power wearable sensors, which are widely used for health monitoring, activity recognition, gait analysis and so on. This paper studies a piezoelectric energy based device which conserve mechanical energy in shoes originated from human motion. The device is based on a on a pressure based energy generation. Besides, consideration is given to both high performance durability and build with repect to keeping the comfort in mind . The device provides an average output power of 1 mW during a walk at a frequency of roughly 1 Hz., a direct current (DC) power supply is built through integrating the device with a power management circuit
The Critical Endpoint of Bootstrap and Lattice QCD Matter
The critical sector of strong interactions at high temperatures is explored
in the frame of two complementary approaches: Statistical Bootstrap for the
hadronic phase and Lattice QCD for the Quark-Gluon partition function. A region
of thermodynamic instability of hadronic matter was found, as a direct
prediction of Statistical Bootstrap. As a result, critical endpoint solutions
for nonzero chemical potential were traced in the phase diagram of strongly
interacting matter. These solutions are compared with recent lattice QCD
results and their proximity to the freeze-out points of experiments with nuclei
at high energies is also discussed.Comment: 23 pages, 8 figure
Inventarisasi Makanan Tradisional Jawa Unsur Sesaji Di Pasar-pasar Tradisional Kabupaten Bantul
This research aims to (1) inventories Javanessee traditional food in Bantul traditional market, (2) describes the name of traditional food as offerings which is related with Javanesee philosophy in Javanessee tradition. It employed the survey technique, it used ethnolinguistic approach. The data sources were collected from 27 traditional markets in Bantul. There were 45 kinds of jajan pasar in traditional market in Bantul region. The food were made from cassava, rice, corn, and lour. The coocking techniques were fried, boiled, steam and roasted. There were food made from peanut and tuber. The food used for offerings were ketan, kolak, apem, jenang, peyek, kacang-kacangan, pala kependhem, jadah, wajik and lempe
