Features of morpho functional changes in periodontal structures in rats with the presence of a photo of a polymer or cement seal
High prevalence of caries is a great public health burden. To choose the optimal filling material for the restoration of hard tissues of teeth in caries patients is quite relevant. When choosing materials for dental restoration the doctor is guided by aesthetics quality, long-term guarantee of therapy, comfort at work and cost/quality ratio. The objective: under the conditions of an experiment to establish the relationship between the morphorfunctional state of periodontal components in the presence of either photopolymeric or cement filling and compare the data obtained with the results of intact animals. Materials and methods. The jaws of 41 white laboratory rats were used. 3 groups were formed: group 1 - intact; group 2 included animals with a photopolymer filling; group 3 consisted of rats with a cement filling. Histobacteriological, immunohistochemical, histochemical and statistical methods were used. Results: the animals with photopolymer filling material, in contrast to animals of the intact group, and those with cement filling, had a greater number of microbial cells in the biofilm during the whole experiment. The microbial cells exhibited enzymatic activity, against which there was a reduced number of glycosaminoglycans in the intercellular substance of the epidermis. Conclusions: Against the background of microorganisms increase in the biofilm of the epithelium, changes in carbohydrate-containing biopolymers of the biofilm, reducing the total number of glycosaminoglycans in animals with photopolymer filling material, the number of lymphocytes and functional activity of antigen-presenting cells in the lamina propria of the gums took place. This indicates the activation of humoral nonspecific and specific links of immunity
Low Temperature Post Radiation Polymerization of Tetrafluoroethylene in the Presence of the Graphene 3D Material
It was found that irradiation by γ-rays at the liquid nitrogen temperature of a mixture of C2F4 with the grapheme 3D material obtained by explosive exfoliation of graphite oxide gives a composite in which the concentration of polytetrafluoroethylene is 80 wt %. In the case of C2F4 polymerization under similar conditions in the absence of the carbon material, the PTFE yield is six times lower. The results of certifica-tion of both the parent carbon material and the composite obtained via polymerization are also reported.

Magnetic Transformations in the Organic Conductor kappa-(BETS)2Mn[N(CN)2]3 at the Metal-Insulator Transition
A complex study of magnetic properties including dc magnetization, 1H NMR and
magnetic torque measurements has been performed for the organic conductor
kappa-(BETS)2Mn[N(CN)2]3 which undergoes a metal-insulator transition at
T_MI~25K. NMR and the magnetization data indicate a transition in the manganese
subsystem from paramagnetic to a frozen state at T_MI, which is, however, not a
simple Neel type order. Further, a magnetic field induced transition resembling
a spin flop has been detected in the torque measurements at temperatures below
T_MI. This transition is most likely related to the spins of pi-electrons
localized on the organic molecules BETS and coupled with the manganese 3d spins
via exchange interaction.Comment: 6 pages, 5 Figures, 1 Table; Submitted to Phys.Rev.B (Nov.2010
Substitution Effect by Deuterated Donors on Superconductivity in -(BEDT-TTF)Cu[N(CN)]Br
We investigate the superconductivity in the deuterated BEDT-TTF molecular
substitution system
-[(h8-BEDT-TTF)(d8-BEDT-TTF)]Cu[N(CN)]Br, where h8
and d8 denote fully hydrogenated and deuterated molecules, respectively.
Systematic and wide range ( = 0 -- 1) substitution can control chemical
pressure finely near the Mott boundary, which results in the modification of
the superconductivity. After cooling slowly, the increase of
observed up to 0.1 is evidently caused by the chemical pressure
effect. Neither reduction of nor suppression of
superconducting volume fraction is found below 0.5. This demonstrates
that the effect of disorder by substitution is negligible in the present
system. With further increase of , both and superconducting
volume fraction start to decrease toward the values in = 1.Comment: J. Phys. Soc. Jp
Angle-dependent magnetoresistance in the weakly incoherent interlayer transport regime
We present comparative studies of the orientation effect of a strong magnetic
field on the interlayer resistance of -(BEDT-TTF)KHg(SCN)
samples characterized by different crystal quality. We find striking
differences in their behavior which is attributed to the breakdown of the
coherent charge transport across the layers in the lower quality sample. In the
latter case, the nonoscillating magnetoresistance background is essentially a
function of only the out-of-plane field component, in contradiction to the
existing theory.Comment: 4 pges, 3 figure
ХАРАКТЕРИСТИКА ЕПІДЕМІЧНОЇ СИТУАЦІЇ З ВІЛ-ІНФЕКЦІЇ У РІЗНИХ ОБЛАСТЯХ УКРАЇНИ
The aim of the work – to assess the current epidemiological situation of HIV infection in regions of Ukraine by studying the manifestations of the epidemic process.Materials and methods. The research was conducted in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions, which are distinguished by the quality of life and prevalence of HIV. The quality of life was estimated by the Human Development Index calculated by the Institute of Demography and Social Studies by M.V. Ptukha of NAS of Ukraine. Analysis of the manifestations of the epidemic process was carried out using descriptive, evaluative and analytical receptions of epidemiological research methods. Results and discussion. An increase in the prevalence of HIV infection by 2.6-2.7 times was observed during the period from 2005 till 2015 in the regions of research. In Kharkiv region perennial prevalence and incidence of HIV infection were by 1.9-1.5 times lower, and the death rate from AIDS was threefold lower than in Zaporizhzhia region. The difference between the regions in parameters of prevalence, incidence of HIV-infections and mortality associated with the effect of negative social factors (an increase in asocial population groups, movement of people from the occupied territories, the presence of resort areas, drug traffic) in Zaporizhzhia region and better indices of social environment and education in Kharkiv region.

Clean Diesel Engine Component Improvement Program Diesel Truck Thermoelectric Generator
Hi-Z Technology, Inc. (Hi-Z) is currently developing four different auxiliary generator designs that are used to convert a portion (5 to 20%) of the waste heat from vehicle engines exhaust directly to electricity. The four designs range from 200 Watts to 10 kW. The furthest along is the 1 kW Diesel Truck Thermoelectric Generator (DTTEG) for heavy duty Class 8 Diesel trucks, which, under this program, has been subjected to 543,000 equivalent miles of bouncing and jarring on PACCARâs test track. Test experience on an earlier version of the DTTEG on the same track showed the need for design modifications incorporated in DTTEG Mod 2, such as a heavy duty shock mounting system and reinforcement of the electrical leads mounting system, the thermocouple mounting system and the thermoelectric module restraints. The conclusion of the 543,000 mile test also pointed the way for an upgrading to heavy duty hose or flex connections for the internal coolant connections for the TEG, and consideration of a separate lower temperature cooling loop with its own radiator. Fuel savings of up to $750 per year and a three to five year payback are believed to be possible with the 5 % efficiency modules. The economics are expected to improve considerably to approach a two year payback when the 5 kW to 10 kW generators make it to the market in a few years with a higher efficiency (20%) thermoelectric module system called Quantum Wells, which are currently under development by Hi-Z. Ultimately, as automation takes over to reduce material and labor costs in the high volume production of QW modules, a one year payback for the 5 kW to10 kW generator appears possible. This was one of the stated goals at the beginning of the project. At some future point in time, with the DTTEG becoming standard equipment on all trucks and automobiles, fuel savings from the 25% conversion of exhaust heat to useable electricity nationwide equates to a 10% reduction in the 12 to 15 million barrels per day of imported oil, that much less air pollution, and an equivalent reduction in the trade deficit, which is expected to lower the inflation rate
