Estimation of Percentage on Malnutrition Occurrences in East Java Using Geographically Weighted Regression Model

The Province of East Java has its own characteristics that differentiate it from any other regions. Dissimilarities in characteristics of a region may encompass issues such as social, economic, cultural, parenting, education, and the environment, so as to cause the difference in case of severe under nutrition between one region to another. Sufferers of malnutrition in one region may be linked and influenced by the surrounding regions. Therefore, we need a statistical modeling that is able to take into account the spatial factor. Statistical methods that can be used to analyze the data and also takes into account the spatial factor are the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). This study is aimed to determine the case of malnutrition models in East Java Province using GWR model with kernel adaptive bi-square weighting and comparing it to the conventional linear regression model.  The data used in the study are secondary data obtained from the National Socio-Economic Survey and Basic Health Research (2010) conducted in 38 districts in East Java. Estimation is done by using the Weighted Least Squares method that provides different weighting values to each region. The result showed that there are 38 models of the malnutrition case that is different for each district in East Java. The GWR model with bi-square kernel weighting function is better in modelling the case of malnutrition in East Java compared to the conventional linear regression models that are based on the criteria of goodness that is the R-square, Mean Square Error and the Akaike Information Criterion

Seven Y chromosome specific microsatellites were typed in a sample of 36 unrelated males from Bali cattle breed. Analysis variation of microsatellites marker in Bali cattle were determinate from PCR products by using 7 primer pairs that flanking microsatellites (INRA008, INRA057, INRA062, INRA124, INRA126, DYS 199, and INRA 189).  PCR products were separated by 10% polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE), and silver staining method was used to detect allele polymorphism at each locus.  From two different geographical breed origin showed that Bali cattle from Bali island has higher heterozygous (h=0.33) level than Lombok island (h=0.30), but the number of allele was few (only two alleles) in all of locus. It is indicated that Bali cattle from two geographical origins were not significant in genetic variation. We know that Y chromosomal microsatellite in general has tend to specific allele in breed comparing to autosomal chromosome, because allele come from only male or Y sex chromosome and it contrary to autosomal chromosome where allele is contributed from male and female. FAO has specified that minimum four distinct alleles per locus for proficient judgment of genetic differences between breeds and this study we only used one breed, so it may not significantly to discriminate in Bali cattle population.  For next study we need more Y chromosomal microsatellite marker to discriminate more Indonesian breeds related to tracing the genetic potential and because males animal has roles in genetic spreading which can have an enormous impact on highly selected domestic animal populations. : This study investigates motivation, habits, and security of internet use by high schools and universities students in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. This descriptive and quantitative reasearch uses survey method. The findings of the study show that the strongest motivation is to show self existence, entertainment, and academic purposes. At some points, the habit of using the internet also makes the students face some risks such as verbal and nonverbal abuses, bullying, pornoghrapy, account hacking, and the risk of interaction with unknown parties

Sustainability analysis of an industrial estate in multidimensional aspects is one of the important steps as an evaluation and review of the operation. Evaluation and review are very useful to evaluate whether the purpose of the existence of an industrial estate follows in PP 4 2009 on environmental procedures. Avoiding this procedures will affect the sustainability of the industrial estate. The Research was carried out in the industrial park EJIP 25-year-old base on ecological dimension economic, social, technological and management criteria for good governance principle. This analysis used Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) with techniques of Rapid Appraisal for Industrial Park (Rap Industrial Park). The result of the research showed that status of the sustainability of the industrial estate based on the ecological dimension was quite sustainable. While the perspective of the economic, social, technological and management were obtained good sustainable statu

The objective of feed production process is to generate high quality of feed with parameters, such as good physical, nutrition characteristics, continuous, palatability and safety. It is needed to support the optimum performance of production process. The general objective of this research was to study quality control system and application of quality management in feed production industry. The objective in this research was to design an expert system for feed quality control based on basic knowledge through knowledge acquisition. Model was designed through two steps, i.e. (1) preparation, and (2) development. System development consisted of (a) basic knowledge development in knowledge acquisition, knowledge conceptualization, and knowledge representation, (b) development of inference mechanism, (c) coding, and (d) verification. The Expert System showed that if data out of control, then process was on uncontrollable condition. The Expert System would interpret the causes and recommend the solution that should be done by supervisors/operators

Strengthening character education becomes important thing nowadays as stated in Presidential Decree No. 87 year 2017. Student\u27s clean and healthy lifestyle reflects from their mind and character. To implement the character education, there are many factors involved in it. The purpose of this research is to identify the variable predictors of student\u27s clean and healthy environment considering teacher role model variables as intervening variables. The analysis of this relationship pattern is based on an interactionist perspective arguing that student behavior does not occur in isolation, but as an impact of interaction results. School environment is faced daily by students. The intensity of this interaction can lead to healthy and hygienic behavior habits through teacher\u27s role model. Regression analysis used to prove the perspective of interactionist is based on secondary data of Healthy School Competition period 2016 and 2017. This competition is a junior high school and high school/vocational school competitions representing the province to be included in the national competition. The data used in this study comes from an observation instrument filled by Healthy School Competition Officers at the National level, and students at schools designated as provincial representatives. Students who were selected as subjects were selected randomly. By using regression analysis, empirical tendency showed that school environment factor namely clean and healthy environment become predictor to the formation of student\u27s clean and healthy behaviour

The body weight records of 1221 heifers were used in this study collected from PT Taurus DairyFarm Sukabumi from year 2001 until 2011. The records that could be used for analysis were 373 out of1221 heifers, having completed data from birth to first mating period. Three different models i.e,Logistic, Gompertz, and von Bertalanffy were performed to analyze the growth rate of heifers. Theresults showed that the three models had different accuracy and heavily depend on age, environment andduration of recording. The body weights of sexual maturity and on certain ages were affected by theduration of recording. The Gompertz model was performed as the simpliest model in form ofcalculation. On the other hand, the Logistic was more difficult to calculate. All models indicated highaccuracy with the determination coefficient (R2) more than 90%. Based on the comparison, theGompertz and Logistic model are recommended for predicting the growth rate of heifers from birth tosexual maturity
