A model for the continuous q-ultraspherical polynomials

We provide an algebraic interpretation for two classes of continuous qq-polynomials. Rogers' continuous qq-Hermite polynomials and continuous qq-ultraspherical polynomials are shown to realize, respectively, bases for representation spaces of the qq-Heisenberg algebra and a qq-deformation of the Euclidean algebra in these dimensions. A generating function for the continuous qq-Hermite polynomials and a qq-analog of the Fourier-Gegenbauer expansion are naturally obtained from these models

Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) is an activity of the building evaluation process with a focus on quality, operational performance and satisfaction of the occupants. The POE is important to evaluate completed and occupied buildings to identify weaknesses and potential for future improvement. To date, there have been various variations of POE instruments and tools to evaluate occupied buildings. However, the POE instrument for assessing high-rise housing constructed using the industrialized building system (IBS) method has not been developed specifically. In this regard, this study aims to discuss the construction of an effective POE instrument to measure the quality and performance of high-rise housing built using the IBS method. For this purpose, the 3 round Delphi method was adapted by involving 15 experts selected based on their background and experience related to IBS. The results of a three-round Delphi study found that 33 out of all sub-constructs were dropped because of low mean scores (<4.2 in two rounds) while 75 sub-constructs were identified as final items. The results of the Delphi study also found that all 10 constructs were 1) Spatial; 2) Design and aesthetics; 3) Physical; 4) Building materials; 5) Quality of work; 6) Comfort and well-being; 7) Environment and health; 8) Maintenance; 9) Value and 10) Cost is the most significant construct for developing PPP instruments. Accordingly, an effective Post-Occupancy Assessment Instrument for measuring the quality, performance and value of a home built using the IBS method should include all of these constructs

Time-Scale Domain Characterization of Time-Varying Ultrawideband Infostation Channel

The time-scale domain geometrical-based method for the characterization of the time varying ultrawideband (UWB) channel typical of an infostation channel is presented. Compared to methods that use Doppler shift as a measure of time-variation in the channel this model provides a more reliable measure of frequency dispersion caused by terminal mobility in the UWB infostation channel. Particularly, it offers carrier frequency independent method of computing wideband channel responses and parameters which are important for ultrawideband systems. Results show that the frequency dispersion of the channel depends on the frequency and not on the choice of bandwidth. And time dispersion depends on bandwidth and not on the frequency. It is also shown that for time-varying UWB, frame length defined over the coherence time obtained with reference to the carrier frequency results in an error margin which can be reduced by using the coherence time defined with respect to the maximum frequency in a given frequency band. And the estimation of the frequency offset using the time-scale domain (wideband) model presented here (especially in the case of multiband UWB frequency synchronization) is more accurate than using frequency offset estimate obtained from narrowband models

Distorted wurtzite unit cells: Determination of lattice parameters of non-polar a-plane AlGaN and estimation of solid phase Al content

Unlike c-plane nitrides, ``non-polar" nitrides grown in e.g. the a-plane or m-plane orientation encounter anisotropic in-plane strain due to the anisotropy in the lattice and thermal mismatch with the substrate or buffer layer. Such anisotropic strain results in a distortion of the wurtzite unit cell and creates difficulty in accurate determination of lattice parameters and solid phase group-III content (x_solid) in ternary alloys. In this paper we show that the lattice distortion is orthorhombic, and outline a relatively simple procedure for measurement of lattice parameters of non-polar group III-nitrides epilayers from high resolution x-ray diffraction measurements. We derive an approximate expression for x_solid taking into account the anisotropic strain. We illustrate this using data for a-plane AlGaN, where we measure the lattice parameters and estimate the solid phase Al content, and also show that this method is applicable for m-plane structures as well

This paper examines the role of women in the empowerment of the property according to a review of the Koran. In view of the Koran, the property is one of the world\u27s ornament which has attached to human. The role of women in various aspects of life is very interesting to be observed. In the world economy, Indonesian women actually already have equality with men. The real economic activity in real business such as in the traditional markets has dominated by the women. In West Sumatra, which adheres matriarkhat line, women master the customary property affairs since long time. In Bali, women\u27s labor work not only on a soft job but also work on harsh work, such as brick-layer. The empirical evidence indicated that women have taken an important role in the management and wealth empowerment, not only in the realm of family, but also in the realm business activities, such as home industry and large-scale businesses

This study aimed to analyse the effectiveness of e-Budgeting implementation in the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta by using CIPP (Context, Input, Process, and Product) model from Stufflebeam (2003). The type of this research was a qualitative research using case-study approach. The data were collected using interviews and documentation studies. The results of this study revealed that the implementation of e-Budgeting in DKI Jakarta Provincial Government was feasible to proceed as it was proven to be effective when viewed from the four components of CIPP Model that is context which focuses on the success of achieving the initial goal of budget transparency and accountability. Furthermore, in terms of inputs, the use of facilities, infrastructure and human resources was adequate. Viewed from the process, e-Budgeting simplified and minimized errors in the process of preparing the work plan and budget (RKA). From the output (Product), it improved the quality of regional budget (APBD) in terms of conformity with the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) document and the control management of budget that plays an active role
