Ideologi Dalam Penerjemahan Budaya: Analisis Pada Novel Terjemahan “Negeri 5 Menara” Karya Ahmad Fuadi

This research aims to describe the translation procedures, methods, and ideology applied to translate novel Negeri 5 Menara,and assess the impact of the ideology on equivalence. This research is using qualitative approach and content analysis. The source of data for this research consists of documents that refer to novel Negeri 5 Menara and its translation in English. The units of analysis of this research data comprise of words, phrases, sentences, and dialogue taken from Negeri 5 Menara Ahmad Fuadi\u27s Work and its translation (The Land of 5 Towers) by Angie Kilbane. Findings of this research show followings. First, translation procedures were used 90 times to render Negeri 5 Menara into English. On the basis of the frequent use of each translation procedures, functional equivalent (20) appears to be first rank, followed by cultural equivalent (19), reduction and couplets (10), transference and naturalization (7), descriptive equivalent (6), notes (4), transposition (3), and modulation and compensation (2). Second, theoretically, transference and naturalisation are oriented to source language while cultural equivalent, functional equivalent, descriptive equivalen, transposition, modulation, compensation, reduction, couplets, and notes are oriented to target language. This means that the translator tended to choose adaptation, free, idiomatic, and communicative methods. Third, the use of translation procedures and the selection the translation methods tend to be based on the adoption of the ideology of domestication. Fourth, in terms of the equivalence of the translations, it was found that 80 data were accurately translated and 10 data were inaccurately translated. Therefore, the domestication ideology has a good impact to the quality of translations

Rekomendasi Pembelian Personal Komputer dengan Metode Ranked Clustering

Perkembangan teknologi berdampak pada persaingan Perusahaan yang cukup ketat, produksi yang beragam dan variatif membuat produk komputer memiliki banyak spesifikasi yang berbeda, tentu hal itu akan semakin menyulitkan bagian pemasaran dalam mempromosikan produk komputer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merekomendasikan komputer dengan spesifikasi yang diinginkan oleh calon pembeli, dengan cara menganalisa basis data produk komputer untuk kemudian di klasifikasi berdasarkan karakteristik tertentu. Implementasi Recommendation system ini menggunakan algoritma AHP dan algoritma K-means, dimana metode untuk proses ranking menggunakan AHP dengan menganalisa basis data produk komputer dan analisis kluster untuk mengelompokkan individu atau objek menjadi beberapa kelompok yang sama mempunyai kemiripan satu dengan yang lain di bandingkan dengan anggota cluster lain. Hasil dari kombinasi algoritma AHP dan K-Means yaitu rekomendasi produk komputer lebih variatif. Pengolahan data menggunakan kombinasi algoritma AHP dan K-Means menghasilkan rekomendasi produk kepada pengguna yang lebih heterogen dibandingkan dengan rekomendasi produk dari data yang diolah hanya menggunakan algoritma AHP tanpa di-cluster K-Means. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa proses clustering akan menghasilkan kaidah-kaidah asosiasi dengan kualitas yang lebih baik

The Effect of Paired-story-telling Technique on the Speaking Abiliity of the Second Year Students of SMP N 8 Pekanbaru

The main objective of this study was to find out the effect of Paired-Story-Telling technique on the speaking ability of the second year students of SMP N 8 pekanbaru. This study was an experimental research with one group pre-test post-test design. The population of this research was the second year students of SMP N 8 pekanbaru. In this research, a single group was selected to be a sample by using cluster random sampling. The sample that has been choosen was class VIII.8 consisting of 39 students. a speakingl test was used to get the score of the students before and after taught by using Paired-Story-Telling technique. After all the data were collected, the writer calculated and analyzed them by using Microsoft excel 2010 and T-test formula. It was found that t-test score was 13.30 while t-table was 2.024. Since t-test was higher than t-table, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of Paired-Story-Telling technique on the students' speaking ability of the second year students of SMP N 8 Pekanbaru that can be seen from the t-test result and the improvement of the students' scores in post-test

A Descriptive Study Of Code Mixing Form In Kaskus Online Forum

This research objective is to find out the form of code mixing in Kaskus online forum. The research data were collected in february 2017. The subject of this research was the user of Kaskus online forum in a thread entitiles “Cara Asik to Improve Your English”. The data were collected through online report. The subject consisted of 16 users with 48 posts, and 64 sentences. The research found out that the all of code mixing forms exist in Kaskus and several purposes of code mixing are found in this research. As a conclusion, the use of insertion of words is more dominant than other insertion in the research and Kaskus users are not using the code mixing for their incompetence

Pemodelan Dinamis Kebutuhan Ruang Terbuka Hijau Kota Malang

Saat ini proporsi ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) semakin berkurang seiring peningkatan populasi dan kepadatan. Dalam pemenuhan pembangunan kawasan-kawasan pendukung sebagai akibat jumlah penduduk yang terus meningkat, alih fungsi lahan di Kota Malang tidak dapat dihindari. Undang-undang Nomor 26 Tahun 2007 Tentang Penataan Ruang menyebutkan bahwa proporsi RTH minimal 30% dari luas kota. Namun proporsi kebutuhan RTH suatu kota berbeda dengan kota lainnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi Perubahan luasan RTH tahun 2000 hingga 2015 serta menghitung dan memodelkan luas RTH yang dibutuhkan Kota Malang kedepannya secara dinamis untuk dapat mencukupi kebutuhan berdasarkan standar beraktivitas dan kebutuhan oksigen. Metode analisis yang digunakan untuk mengetahui Perubahan RTH menggunakan peta hasil interpretasi citra satelit yang di overlay sehingga diketahui Perubahan luasan RTH dan pengembangan model proyeksi kebutuhan RTH dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan sistem dinamik. Temuan dari pembahasan menunjukan bahwa luas RTH Kota Malang dari tahun 2000 hingga 2015 terus mengalami penurunan hingga 30% dan kebutuhan akan RTH terus meningkat setiap tahunnya berbanding lurus dengan penambahan jumlah penduduk sedangkan ketersediaan RTH terus berkurang. Skenario untuk memenuhi kebutuhan RTH Kota Malang dengan menekan laju imigrasi, menekan tingkat kelahiran, menekan pertumbuhan kawasan terbangun, pengurangan jumlah sepeda motor dan mobil, penambahan RTH privat dan publi
