Ideologi Dalam Penerjemahan Budaya: Analisis Pada Novel Terjemahan “Negeri 5 Menara” Karya Ahmad Fuadi

This research aims to describe the translation procedures, methods, and ideology applied to translate novel Negeri 5 Menara,and assess the impact of the ideology on equivalence. This research is using qualitative approach and content analysis. The source of data for this research consists of documents that refer to novel Negeri 5 Menara and its translation in English. The units of analysis of this research data comprise of words, phrases, sentences, and dialogue taken from Negeri 5 Menara Ahmad Fuadi\u27s Work and its translation (The Land of 5 Towers) by Angie Kilbane. Findings of this research show followings. First, translation procedures were used 90 times to render Negeri 5 Menara into English. On the basis of the frequent use of each translation procedures, functional equivalent (20) appears to be first rank, followed by cultural equivalent (19), reduction and couplets (10), transference and naturalization (7), descriptive equivalent (6), notes (4), transposition (3), and modulation and compensation (2). Second, theoretically, transference and naturalisation are oriented to source language while cultural equivalent, functional equivalent, descriptive equivalen, transposition, modulation, compensation, reduction, couplets, and notes are oriented to target language. This means that the translator tended to choose adaptation, free, idiomatic, and communicative methods. Third, the use of translation procedures and the selection the translation methods tend to be based on the adoption of the ideology of domestication. Fourth, in terms of the equivalence of the translations, it was found that 80 data were accurately translated and 10 data were inaccurately translated. Therefore, the domestication ideology has a good impact to the quality of translations

Penyelidikan Karakteristik Mekanik Tarik Komposit Serbuk Kasar Kenaf

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh nilai tegangan, regangan dan modulus elastisitas dari spesimen komposit serbuk kasar kenaf  dengan komposisi 90% Resin – 10% Serbuk, 80% Resin – 20% Serbuk dan 70% Resin – 30% Serbuk. Adapun nilai yang di dapat dari hasil pengujian tarik dari spesimen uji ini adalah untuk serbuk kasar 24,151 MPa, , regangan rata-rata serbuk kasar 2,533 MPa, modulus elastisitas sebesar 970,53MPa terhadap kekuatan uji tarik.  Metode penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium IFRC (Impact and Facture Research Center) Departemen Teknik Mesin Universitas Sumatera Utara. Komposit dibuat dengan menggunakan resin sebagai pengikat matriknya dan kenaf sebagai penguatnya. Variasi bahan adalah serbuk halus dan kasar 10%, 20% dan 30% resin 90%, 80% dan 70%. Spesimen di buat dengan metode   paling sederhana (hand lay up). Selanjutnya komposit dibiarkan selama kurang lebih 24 jam agar hasilnya sesuai dengan yang di inginkan. Kemudian dilakukan proses pengujian tarik. Penelitiannya adalah spesimen yang telah diberi berbeda variasi diuji dengan mesin Uji Tarik. Hasil pengujian didapat kurva beban pertambahan panjang. Kemudian diperoleh hasil pada grafik untuk setiap spesimen.Luasan area ini adalah perbandingan dari tiap spesimen. Kemudian memperoleh hasil dengan luas area patah pada spesimen

PEMETAAN JARINGAN DISTRIBUSI (SUTM) 20 kV DAN PERKIRAAN KEBUTUHAN LISTRIK DI KECAMATAN PAYUNG SEKAKI, KABUPATEN SOLOK

Payung Sekaki district is one of the area in Solok Region that needs the development of electricity network.  To support its development plan, the real condition of Payung Sekaki district should be known. The mapping method is one of the way to know the already implemented electricity area.Based on the mapping result, it is known that the electricity network of SUTM 20 kV at Payung Sekaki district has been implemented in Sikrukam area and Supayang area and not yet in Aie Luo area. The estimation method of electricity needs at Payung Sekaki district is motivated to get information on its development based on economic and population growth. Data processing results using SPSS show that the eletricity needs at Payung Sekaki district from 2013 to 2014 will dramatically increase followed by the increasing of economic growth in spite of population growth is still remain the same

ANALISA KEKUATAN MATERIAL BAHAN CARBON STEEL AISI 1018 DAN BAJA TULANGAN POLOS SNI P40 SEBAGAI ANGKUR PADA TOWER DENGAN METODE UJI TARIK

Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi di Indonesia terus mengalami perkembangan yang cukup pesat. Perkembangan ini memicu peningkatan pembangunan menara pemancar (tower) yang merupakan perangkat penting dalam teknologi komunikasi dan informasi. Sebagai konsekuensi dari perkembangan ini maka harus diiringi dengan bertambahnya jumlah kontruksi menara di daerah pemukiman dan perkotaan yang dapat berakibat buruk apabila kontruksi menara (tower) tidak memiliki sambungan yang baik antar tanah dan besi menara. Setiap pembangunan menara di perlukan sambungan (angkur) yang sangat kuat. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kuat sambungan pada angkur adalah material bahan angkur, sehingga pemilihan material bahan sambungan angkur yang baik sangatlah penting. Analisa kekuatan material pada angkur ini dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan kekuatan dari material bahan Carbon Steel dan Baja Tulangan Polos (BJTP) dengan standart ukuran yang sama yaitu JIS Z 2201 dengan metode pengujian tarik (Tensile Test). Untuk mengindentifikasi sifat mekanis bahan dan peniliaian pada metode pengujian tarik (Tensile Test) ini yaitu dengan menggunakan Universal Testing Machine Type MR 5, 10, 20CT. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh data yaitu luas penampang awal, luas penampang setelah pengujian, tegangan elastis , tegangan maksimal, tegangan putus, persentase regangan dan persentase lebar penampang. Tujuan akhir penelitian ini adalah, untuk mengetahui nilai tegangan, regangan dan modulus elastisitas pada material bahan Carbon Steel dan BJTP

The Muslim Hipster and Consumption Behavior Phenomena in the Shopee Marketplace of Makassar

The research implemented a descriptive quantitative method, aimed to investigate (1) the influence of Muslim hipsters on the buying decisions of Muslim fashion products in the Shopee marketplace, (2) the effect of online customer reviews on the purchasing decisions of Muslim fashion products in the Shopee marketplace. The data used in this study comprised primary data collected through questionnaires. The method used to analyze the data was the multiple linear regression analysis method. The population in this study consisted of students of the Islamic Religious Education and English Language Education Departments, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Alauddin Makassar, who were users of the Shopee Apps. The sample used in this study was 60 respondents. The results of this study indicate that Muslim hipsters and online customer reviews have a positive and significant effect on the users’ purchasing decisions. These results indicate that a Muslim hipster, with the lifestyle and values it identifies, can attract more buyers, increase sales, and generate greater profits for the business. Online customer reviews can influence purchasing decisions and provide important information to prospective buyers. Both variables can be exploited by business actors in their marketing strategies to enhance their brand confidence and reputation, as well as attract more buyers. In an effort to pay attention to consumer lifestyle trends, preferences, and purchasing behavior, business operators can develop more effective marketing strategies and expand their market share

Rekomendasi Pembelian Personal Komputer dengan Metode Ranked Clustering

Perkembangan teknologi berdampak pada persaingan Perusahaan yang cukup ketat, produksi yang beragam dan variatif membuat produk komputer memiliki banyak spesifikasi yang berbeda, tentu hal itu akan semakin menyulitkan bagian pemasaran dalam mempromosikan produk komputer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merekomendasikan komputer dengan spesifikasi yang diinginkan oleh calon pembeli, dengan cara menganalisa basis data produk komputer untuk kemudian di klasifikasi berdasarkan karakteristik tertentu. Implementasi Recommendation system ini menggunakan algoritma AHP dan algoritma K-means, dimana metode untuk proses ranking menggunakan AHP dengan menganalisa basis data produk komputer dan analisis kluster untuk mengelompokkan individu atau objek menjadi beberapa kelompok yang sama mempunyai kemiripan satu dengan yang lain di bandingkan dengan anggota cluster lain. Hasil dari kombinasi algoritma AHP dan K-Means yaitu rekomendasi produk komputer lebih variatif. Pengolahan data menggunakan kombinasi algoritma AHP dan K-Means menghasilkan rekomendasi produk kepada pengguna yang lebih heterogen dibandingkan dengan rekomendasi produk dari data yang diolah hanya menggunakan algoritma AHP tanpa di-cluster K-Means. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa proses clustering akan menghasilkan kaidah-kaidah asosiasi dengan kualitas yang lebih baik

Sistem Penentu Calon Penerima Beasiswa Menggunakan Metode Smarter dan Forward Chaining

This research aims to create a program to help facilitate the school in determining the students who are eligible for a scholarship. SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Bengkulu serve as research place. The selection process of scholarship recipients in SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Bengkulu is equipped with various criteria, such as family economy, family dependent, child status, School Achievement, out-of-school education and discipline. It should be noted in the assessment of the criteria and must be relevant because it will basically affect the outcome. In making this Program we use Visual Basic 6.0 software and apply SMARTER Inference Forward Chaining method. The results obtained from this study, have met the criteria desired by the SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Bengkulu and the use of this method is considered effective to be used to anticipate the similarity of the ranking.
