In order to verify the reliability of hybrid population issued from crossing between 3 clones of "Picholine marocaine" cultivar and the "Picholine du Languedoc" cultivar, the descendants and their parents wereanalysed using 35 microsatellite loci. No offspring resulted from self crossing of "Picholine marocaine" cultivar and 218 descendants among 220 analysed are legitimate. This study showed clearly a segregating population and may be used as a genetic material for linkage map construction and for phenotyping resistance traits related to Spilocaea oleagina disease

This paper presents a study of the magnetoresistance (MR) in the layered magnetic structure (NiFeCo/Cu). The effect of the magnetic (m) and non magnetic (nm) layer thickness (tm , tnm) and the composition of the magnetic layer has been discussed in the framework of the Johnson-Camley semiclassical approach, which is based on the Boltzmann transport equation. Our results are compared with the experiments and seem to show good agreement. Indeed, three main features of the MR are reproduced: (i) Presence of MR peak at tmmax which vary with the magnetic layer composition, (ii) A MR decrease with non magnetic layer thickness tnm, (iii) The increasing magnitude of MR ratio with increasing Co content. This paper presents a study of the magnetoresistance (MR) in the layered magnetic structure (NiFeCo/Cu). The magnetoresistance (MR) and the saturation resistivity (ρs) are studied versus the Cu deposition pressure (PCu) at room temperature, in [Co98Zr2 (25Å)/Cu (tCu) /Co (25Å)] magnetic sandwiches prepared by RF diode sputtering. Results of low angle X-Ray Diffraction patterns have been proved the importante interfacial degradation observed in (CoZr/Cu) multilayers, compared to the usual (Co/Cu) structures. The highest value of transverse MR is obtained along the easy axis, and the MR curve saturates in a small magnetic field of 100 Oe at room temperature. Which leads to an interesting increase in MR sensitivity about 2%/Oe. The main features of the magnetoresistive properties evolution with Cu deposition pressure are: The maximum of MR increases and moves towards larger Cu thicknesses (tCu) for increasing PCu. The saturation resistivity ρs decreases with increasing tCu while it increases versus PCu. The satisfactory agreement between our experimental results and calculated ones in the framework of the Johnson-Camley semi-classical model, allows us to interpret the MR and ρs behavior as a result of a reinforcement of the disordered phase ″CoZrCu″ inside the mixed zone whose thickness tmx increases with PCu .The magnetoresistance (MR) and the saturation resistivity (ρs) are studied versus the Cu deposition pressure (PCu) at room temperature, in [Co98Zr2 (25Å)/Cu (tCu) /Co (25Å)] magnetic sandwiches prepared by RF diode sputtering. The dependence of the magnetoresistance (MR) ratio on the thicknesses of the magnetic (m) and non magnetic (nm) layers is studied for Ni80Fe20 /Cu soft magnetic multilayers with a fixed number of bilayers (12). The highest value of the MR is 17,3% at Cu layer thickness of 7 Å. Very high sensitivity, around 132%/kOe has been observed. We present a discussion of the MR results using the Johnson-Camley semiclassical model based on the Boltzmann transport equation. The dependence of the magnetoresistance (MR) ratio on the thicknesses of the magnetic (m) and non magnetic (nm) layers is studied for Ni80Fe20 /Cu soft magnetic multilayers with a fixed number of bilayers (12).

Urine E-cadherin: A Marker for early detection of kidney injury in diabetic patients.

Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is the main reason for end-stage renal disease. Microalbuminuria as the non-invasive available diagnosis marker lacks specificity and gives high false positive rates. To identify and validate biomarkers for DN, we used in the present study urine samples from four patient groups: diabetes without nephropathy, diabetes with microalbuminuria, diabetes with macroalbuminuria and proteinuria without diabetes. For the longitudinal validation, we recruited 563 diabetic patients and collected 1363 urine samples with the clinical data during a follow-up of 6 years. Comparative urinary proteomics identified four proteins Apolipoprotein A-I (APOA1), Beta-2-microglobulin (B2M), E-cadherin (CDH1) and Lithostathine-1-alpha (REG1A), which differentiated with high statistical strength (p < 0.05) between DN patients and the other groups. Label-free mass spectrometric quantification of the candidates confirmed the discriminatory value of E-cadherin and Lithostathine-1-alpha (p < 0.05). Immunological validation highlighted E-cadherin as the only marker able to differentiate significantly between the different DN stages with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.85 (95%-CI: [0.72, 0.97]). The analysis of the samples from the longitudinal study confirmed the prognostic value of E-cadherin, the critical increase in urinary E-cadherin level was measured 20 ± 12.5 months before the onset of microalbuminuria and correlated significantly (p < 0.05) with the glomerular filtration rate measured by estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)
