    The provisions of food in order to fullfil the humankind needs could be examined through the implementation of the process of agriculture production. However the requirement for food could only be fulfilled self-sufficiently if food supplies were higher than the total consumption. An increasingly descended trend of the increase of the Indonesian rice production was the problem that immediately must be overcome. This was caused by continously consumption growth resulting from the population growth. The aim of the research is to forecast the Indonesian Production and Rice Consumption, to estimate the supply capacity of domestic food (not including the import) compared with consumption of food nationally. To answer this aim, then it was carried out by the analysis of the forecast by using the method of Box-Jenkins with the model of ARIMA.The forecast result showed that the production of rice rise every year since the year of 2008-2012. The rise in general as big as 700 thousand ton per year is caused by the increase of the harvesting area as well as the land productivity. On the other hand, national rice consumption in aggregate also increased as big as 450 thousand ton every year. In 2012, consumption of the national rice is estimated tol reach more than 33 million ton. The continuing population growth results in increasing rice consumption per capita, but it shows a declined sign every year from 134 kg/capita in 2005 to only 130 kg/capita in 2012. However, this result doesnot give any impact anything on total consumption

    Karst merupakan bentuklahan hasil proses pelarutan dengan salah satu potensi berupa goa. Penginderaan jauh dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengenali parameter kenampakan mulut goa di kawasan karst. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk analisis kemampuan citra penginderaan jauh untuk identifikasi mulut goa dan pola persebarannya di Kecamatan Tepus. Penelitian ini menggunakan citra GeoEye, Landsat 8 dan Peta RBI. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan parameter penentu lokasi mulut goa. Parameter yang digunakan berupa Kelurusan, Pola Aliran Permukaan, Morfologi dan Kerapatan vegetasi. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penginderaan jauh memiliki tingkat efektifitas yang baik untuk mengekstraksi parameter identifikasi mulut goa dengan tingkat ketelitian sebesar 86.88 %.     This research aims to determine the performance of new varieties of farm (VUB), lowland rice through an integrated approach to crop management (ICM) in the village of Gle Aneuk Indrapuri, Aceh Besar District. Field assessment is from cooperative farmers who have lowland rice varieties with treatment, such as Cimelati, Bondoyudo, Ciherang, Kalimas, VUTB Fatmawati and IR-64. In each of these rice varieties applied packages introduced PTT technology. The result indicates that reviewed the six varieties suitable for cultivated and developed. Judging from the performance of agronomic VUTB Fatmawati better compared with 5 other varieties. VUTB Fatmawati have the greatest production (7.75 tonnes / ha) with a profit-making Rp.6.074.750, -. Fatmawati lowland rice farming system with ICM pattern is more feasible to be developed because the RC has the largest ratio (2.09) compared with the varieties Cimelati (2,06), Kalimas (2,04), Bondoyudo (2,02), Ciherang (1,51) and varieties of IR-164 (1,39)

    Liquidity and hedging effectiveness under futures mispricing: International evidence

    We analyze the hedging effectiveness of positions that replicate stock indexes using corresponding futures contracts through the application of a dynamic, stochastic hedging strategy proposed by Lafuente, J. A. and Novales, A. (2003). Conclusive gains do not emerge in any of the markets analyzed over the period considered, relative to the use of a constant unit hedge ratio. These findings are consistent with the trend observed in the IBEX 35 futures market study of Lafuente, J. A. and Novales, A. (2003). Our empirical evidence suggests that, contrary to what happens in less liquid markets, the discrepancy between theoretical and quoted prices in index futures contracts in fully developed markets does not represent a noise factor that can be successfully exploited for hedging

    The main objective of this study is to determine the income and financial risks of freshwater aquaculture, especially tilapia. The study was conducted in Seginim, South Bengkulu, with consideration that Seginim is an area of aquaculture centers in South Bengkulu. Samples have been taken as many as 50 tilapia farmers. Data analysis was using quantitative and qualitative models. Approach starts from the calculation of operating cost, revenue, and income, and then the study of risk analysis approached by variance analysis. The results show that the income of freshwater fish farming, tilapia in particular, is Rp 59,512,743.75 per period of production per farming unit, and the level of business risk is quite high with the number of CV more than 50% (>0,5) and it has opportunity losing of income as much as minus Rp 7,127,386.37 per period of production

    This research was undertaken in Kota Bengkulu Provinsi Bengkulu. There were fifty eight fruit traders were censused method. They devided in two based on their type of services: fourty three for static services and fifteen for mobile services. All of them were interviewed to obtain information about their reasons for selecting their services. Descriptive analysis, income and R/C ratio are use in this research. The main reason to select static service is that they trade in local government licensed area. Second reason is that thier target customers and consumers often shop in traditional market and had medium income. While mobile traders, the easyness to find customers and consumers are the main reason and traders can move from one to another place. The static traders earned Rp. 4.064.236,36 and mobile traders Rp. 5.007.664,29 per month. R/C Ratio of static is 1,11 and mobile 1,16. Both of them were efficient because R/C Ratio were higher than 1
