Development of a Calculation Methodology for the Ventilation on a Besis of a Mobile Unit

    Get PDF
An algorithm for the analysis of safety and efficiency of the processes, which are located inside the mobile unit are developed. It follows from the calculations that the safe concentration of combustible material in the space of industrial premises is about 3.69%. Automation systems must be focused on this value. The time of occurrence of the maximum permissible concentration of pollutant was determined and amounted to 160 seconds. It is shown that the ventilation rate of 0.5 would be sufficient for functioning of the object

The motivation of the presented research is based on the need for development of new methods and tools for adequate real time simulation of automation control frequency and power regulators of generator played an important role in the planning, design and operation of electric power system. This paper proposes a Hybrid real time simulator of electric power system for simulation of automation control frequency and power regulators of generator. The obtained results of experimental researches of turbine emergency control of generator demonstrate high accuracy of the simulator and possibility of real-time simulation of all the processes in the electric power system without any decomposition and limitation on their duration, and the effectiveness of the proposed simulator in solving of the design, operational and research tasks of electric power system

The aim of this paper is to identify the contributions of the researchers at the School of Salamanca, sixteenth century, in relation with some formation of modern economic doctrines. The main contributions are: (1) the justification of free market in primarily necessities goods with upper prices that are setted by the state policy (Dr. Navarro and Fr. Rodrigo do Porto, 1552), (2) the three elements of the free market from whom known the right price (Juan de Medina, 1546), (3) the doctrine of the impossibility of accurate knowledge of the fair price for the sovereign (Juan de Medina, 1546), (4) the doctrine of the competition between buyers in the market (Juan de Medina, 1546) (5) the sources of the quantity theory of money in the books of Saravia de la Calle (1544), Melchor Cano (1544- 1545) and Rodrigo do Porto (1549)

Also the article presents some directions of improvement of financial controlling tools as well as the results of development of risk-oriented technologies which are aimed at providing financial stability of modern corporations.peer-reviewe

Typology of Innovative Development of AIRR-Regions (Association of Russian Innovative Regions)

    Get PDF
The article describes typology of regions of AIRR based on factor and cluster analysis. The main purpose of typology in this study is seeking for opportunities to transform interregional differentiation from problem into an additional source of development of regions with different complementary models of innovation development. It highlights 4 main and 2 additional types (subtypes) of regions of AIRR: Type 1 “Industrial innovation-active regions” (Subtype 1 “regions with developed medium-technological industries” and Subtype 2 “regions with developed high-technological industries”), Type 2 “Industrial regions providing demand for innovations (“market”), Type 3 “Regions with developed scientific-educational complex”, Type 4 “Mixed (catching-up)”. Peculiarities of different types of regions allow each region achieving an efficient innovative activity through complementarity of resources if each region fulfills its role, defined by type of innovative development. It makes actual the problem of development of mechanism of interregional innovation policy as one of the area of development of a synergistic approach in the state innovative policy

Identification and characterisation of anti - Pseudomonas aeruginosa proteins in mucus of the brown garden snail, Cornu aspersum

    Get PDF
Background Novel antimicrobial treatments are urgently needed. Previous work has shown that the mucus of the brown garden snail (Cornu aspersum) has antimicrobial properties, in particular against type culture collection strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. We hypothesised that it would also be effective against clinical isolates of the bacterium and that investigation of fractions of the mucus would identify one or more proteins with anti-pseudomonal properties, which could be further characterised. Materials and methods: Mucus was extracted from snails collected from the wild. Antimicrobial activity against laboratory and clinical isolates of Ps. aeruginosa was determined in disc diffusion assays. Mucus was purified using size exclusion chromatography and fractions containing anti-pseudomonal activity identified. Mass spectroscopy and high performance liquid chromatography analysis of these fractions yielded partial peptide sequences. These were used to interrogate an RNA transcriptome generated from whole snails. Results: Mucus from C. aspersum inhibited growth of type collection strains and clinical isolates of Ps. aeruginosa. Four novel C. aspersum proteins were identified; at least three are likely to have antimicrobial properties. The most interesting is a 37.4 kDa protein whilst smaller proteins, one 17.5 kDa and one 18.6 kDa also appear to have activity against Ps. aeruginosa. Conclusions: The study has identified novel proteins with antimicrobial properties which could be used to develop treatments for use in human medicine. Key words: antimicrobial; transcriptome; lectin; mucus; Cornu aspersum, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, transcriptom

Improving the methodological tools of market pricing in exhibition marketing

    Get PDF
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to determine ways to improve the methodological pricing tools in exhibition marketing from market positions. Design/Methodology/Approach: The leading method of research is a systematic approach, which is used to substantiate the economic and mathematical model of the optimal market price of the exhibition area, which is set depending on the quality of the exhibition. In order to measure differences in the quality of exhibition events, authors proposed to use reference-exhibition benchmarking characterized by the best price / quality ratio. Findings: The results of the study form the methodological basis for improving pricing not only in the exhibition business, but also in other areas of business activity. This is possible if the goods (services) are produced in the conditions of a monopolistic competition, and the quality of an individual product (service) could be quantified in a conventional unit, which should be scientifically substantiated. Practical implications: This study is of practical value for both exhibition organizers and their participants. Using of expo-activities of the developed methodological tools of market pricing allows strengthening their competitive positions and increasing the profitability of exhibitions, if the optimal market price of the exposition calculated by the proposed method compensates the average total costs of the exhibition company. Originality/Value: The article substantiates the original conceptual approach to exhibition pricing, which is based on interaction marketing, benchmarking and extremely high price, which prevents the formation of demand from exhibitors, that is proposed to be called the alternative price. It becomes possible to provide a scientific basis for determining the optimal market price of the exhibition area, that maximizes the profit of the organizing company.peer-reviewe
