    Thermoelectric properties of Al_{82.6−x}Re_{17.4}Si_x (7≼x≼12) 1/1-cubic approximants

    The thermoelectric power S(T) and thermal conductivity _k(T) were systematically studied for a series of Al_{82.6−x}Re_{17.4}Si_x(7≼x≼12) 1/1-cubic approximants. We found that S(T) of these approximants is characterized by large magnitude, sign reversal with varying composition, and nonlinear temperature dependence, all of which are also known as characteristics of the corresponding quasicrystals. The calculated S(T) on the basis of the Boltzmann transport formula with accurately determined electronic structure showed extremely good agreement with the measured ones not only in their magnitude but also in the temperature and composition dependence. These results strongly indicate that these characteristic behaviors in S(T) of the approximants and the corresponding quasicrystals are brought about by their characteristic electronic structure, i.e., the presence of a pseudogap across the Fermi level.journal articl

    ジヒドロピリジン系以外のカルシウム拮抗薬は,洞房結節と房室結節の遅い内向きカルシウム電流を抑制することにより,上室性不整脈およびリエントリー性不整脈を改善あるいは抑制する。この抑制作用はカルシウム拮抗薬に固有の電気生理学的特性に基づくものである。カルシウム拮抗薬は虚血や薬物により誘発した自動能不整脈,再潅流不整脈にも有効であるが,これはカルシウムチャネル遮断の結果生じる二次的な作用による。最近,カルシウム拮抗薬としての作用の他にナトリウムチャネルも抑制するベプリジル,純粋なカルシウム拮抗作用に加えてIII群薬類似の有効性を示す薬物も開発されてきたので,そういった観点からの分類が今後必要になるかもしれない。journal articl

    A performance investigation of thermal infrared camera and optical camera for searching victims with an unmanned aerial vehicle: poster abstract

    In search and rescue (SAR) operation, the potential of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) gathers great attention. Existing studies have made various experiments to find victims by a UAVs with a single sensor, e.g., one of an optical camera, a thermal infrared camera, and a radio wave signal. However, the experimental environments are limited to show the performance of the sensor. Since there are various SAR missions, it is difficult to choose the best sensor for all environments. Then, to enhance the UAV performance, we need to consider multiple sensors to find a victim efficiently. In the paper, we investigate optical camera and thermal infrared camera for finding a victim helpfully.
