A case of psoas abscess caused by Candida albicans

59歳男.真菌カンジダによるものと考えられる腸腰筋膿瘍を形成した症例について報告した.右腰背部腫瘤を主訴とし, 胸水の精査目的にて施行した胸部CTにて後腹膜腫瘤を指摘された.軽度貧血と耐糖能異常を認め, CRPは軽度上昇を認めた.腸腰筋膿瘍と診断し経皮的ドレナージ術を施行し.14Frマレコーカテーテルを留置した.カテーテル排液培養によりCandida albicansを認め, 細胞診ではclass IIであった.真菌カンジダ性腸腰筋膿瘍と診断し, フルコナゾールを経口投与した.ドレナージ開始22日目に腫瘍はほぼ消失したが, 脊椎炎を合併しファンギゾン, ジフルカン, フロリード, イトリゾールを経口・静脈内投与した.現在, 膿瘍の再発を認めておらず, 経過観察中であるWe report a rare case of psoas abscess caused by Candida albicans. A 59-year-old man with diabetes mellitis presented with right flank mass. Computed tomography (CT) showed a psoas abscess. Needle aspiration of the right flank mass revealed pus which was proved to be C. albicans by culture. The literature is briefly reviewed

A Case of Retroperitoneal Mature Teratoma Successfully Treated by Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy

We report a case of retroperitoneal mature teratoma which was successfully treated by laparoscopic adrenalectomy. A 37-year-old woman complaining of right abdominal discomfort was referred to our hospital because computed tomography showed an adrenal tumor at another hospital. Magnetic resonance imaging showed a 10 cm adrenal tumor that consisted of fat with calcification. Endocrine examination showed no abnormal findings. Under the suspicion of myelolipoma, we performed laparoscopic right adrenalectomy. Histological diagnosis was mature teratoma. The patient had no recurrence at 5 years after surgery

ノトバイオート豚およびシバヤギの作出と飼育 : 1994～2003年度の記録

動物衛生研究所（前家畜衛生試験場）において, 1994年4月から2004年3月までの10年間に疾病研究の動物実験に供試するため, 妊娠豚23頭から子宮切断術によりノトバイオート子豚247頭を摘出した. そのうち33頭（13.4%）が蘇生作業中に死亡し, 3頭は死亡胎子であった. 　摘出された子豚211頭のうち, 132頭は細菌分野の研究に, 他の79頭はウイルス分野の研究に利用された. 　この間, ノトバイオート反すう動物も生産した. 妊娠シバヤギ1頭から子宮切断術によって, 子ヤギ1頭を摘出した. 摘出したノトバイオートシバヤギは, 細菌分野の研究に利用された. 　動物衛生研究所では, 家畜衛生試験場時代の1965年からSPFおよびノトバイオート動物の作出を行っている. ここで生産されたSPFおよびノトバイオート豚ならびにノトバイオート反すう動物は, 極めて利用価値の高い実験用動物として家畜疾病の研究に供試されている. 　この資料は, 1994年4月から2004年3月までの10年間におけるノトバイオート動物の作出と利用記録である
