イタリアンライグラスうどんこ病抵抗性中間母本「ER3」の育成とその特性

\u27ER3\u27, an Italian ryegrass line resistant to powdery mildew was developed from 8 diploid, very early and early maturing cutivars after 3 generations of recurrent phenotypic selection for powdery mildew resistance. Superior genotypes, expressing powdery mildew resistance, were selected after natural infection in the field and greenhouse, where plants were easily infected with powdery mildew. Heading date of \u27ER3\u27 is as early as that of \u27Nioudachi\u27. \u27ER3\u27 clearly has higher resistance to powdery mildew than the existing early maturing cultivars, though the material cultivars from which \u27ER3\u27 is derived are susceptible. Therefore, these very early or early maturing cultivars might have resistance gene（s）. Resistant plants were frequently obtaind from progenies of paircrosses between genotypes of \u27ER3\u27 and susceptible cultivars, so \u27ER3\u27 is considered to be effective for the use in breeding powdery mildew resistant cultivars. Dry mater productivity of \u27ER3\u27 placed between those of \u27Hata-aoba\u27 and superior to that of \u27Nioudachi\u27. But because lodging resistance of \u27ER3\u27 was inferior to that of \u27Nioudachi\u27 and \u27Hata-aoba\u27, the trait will need to be incorporated from other lines when \u27ER3\u27 is used for breeding.イタリアンライグラスのうどんこ病抵抗性が高い中間母本を育成した. 2 倍体で早晩性が極早生または早生の8 品種・系統を育種素材とし, うどんこ病が罹病しやすい条件である隔離圃場およびガラス室において, 自然発病による3 世代の表現型循環選抜を行い, うどんこ病抵抗性の新系統「ER 3」を選抜した. 　本系統は, 「ニオウダチ」並の早生で, うどんこ病に対する抵抗性が主要な既存早生品種より強い. 選抜材料に用いた品種・系統は, 集団として高度に罹病性であったが, これらの品種・系統集団中にも抵抗性遺伝子を保有していたことが確認された. また, 既存の罹病性品種との交雑後代において高い頻度で抵抗性個体が得られたことから, 本系統のうどんこ病抵抗性は遺伝性が高く, うどんこ病抵抗性を効率よく高めることができると考えられた. 　本系統の収量性は「はたあおば」より劣るものの, 「ニオウダチ」より優れた. しかし, 耐倒伏性がこれらの品種より劣ることから, 本系統を利用する場合には, 母材選定や選抜過程において, これに配慮する必要がある. なお, 「ER3」は平成19年に「イタリアンライグラス中間母本農1号」の名称で品種登録出願が受理された（出願番号：第21404 号）
