    The Role of Sport Passion Level of Athletes in Determining Love Attitude and Relation Satisfaction

    The purpose of this study is to examine the role of sport passion level of athletes in determinig love attitude and relation satisfaction. 218 athletes participated in this study as volunteers, 94 of the mare female (Xage=20,46±3,12), 124 of the mare male (Xage=22,81±4,05) sport experience of athletes dealing with different branches of team and individual sports (football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, track and field, bike… etc.) is 110,15±54,59 monts. To achieve the purpose of the study, Passion Scala was developed by Vallerand and his friends (2003) and it was adapted to Turkish culture by Kelecek (2013). Love Attitudes Scale (short form), was developed by Hendrick and Hendrick’ in (1986, 1990), and it was adapted to Turkish culture by Buyuksahin and Hovardaoglu (2004), Fianlly, Relationship Assessment Scala which were developed by Hendrick (1988) and adapted to Turkish culture by Curun (2001) were used. For solution and interpretation of the datas, descriptive statistical methods; for independent samples T-test, One Way Anova test and Multiple Step wise regression analysis were used. Analysis performed by using SPSS and research significance was accepted as P<0,05. As a result of this study, it has been observed that athletes’ sport passion level sare important determiners of love attitude and relation satisfactions, as well as it has also been observed that athletes love attitude level safe determiners of relation satisfactions

    Is Self Talk of Athletes One of the Determinants of Their Continuous Sportive Confidence Level?

    The present study aims to determine whether level of self talk behaviors of athletes is one of the determinants of their continuous confidence levels. Whereas totally 358 athletes (Xage= 23.77 ± 3.87) were voluntarily participated into this study, 180 of them were female (Xage= 22.76 ± 3.050) and 236 of them were male (Xage= 24.56 ± 4.263). Experiences of various branches of team sport and personal sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, athletics, biking and etc.) in sport activities were determined as 98.25 ± 24.70. Whereas descriptive statistical methods were employed in analysis and assessment of collected data; t-test and multiple step regression analysis was utilized in independent samples. Aforesaid analyses were conducted through the SPSS package software and significance level was considered as P<0.05. According to the study findings, a significant positive linear correlation was determined between self talk behaviors of athletes and their continuous sportive confidence. Furthermore, it was observed that self talk behavior of athletes was one of the significant determinants of their continuous sportive confidence levels. Finally, it is possible to conclude that continuous sportive confidences, one of the important psychological factors in performances of athletes, were correlated with their self talk behavior of athletes and that it was one of the significant determinants of continuous sportive confidence levels

    Does the Anastatica Hierochuntica plant shorten the duration of labour? A prospective observational study

    Objective: This study aims to investigate the effect of Anastatica Hierochuntica L. on the duration of labour in primiparous women.Methods: A prospective, case-controlled study with an intervention (n=28) and control (n=29) group. Participants were not randomized; their preferences related to the use of the A. Hierochuntica L. determined the group in which they would be included. In the intervention group, Anastatica Hierochuntica L. was used by all women. Standard care continued for both the intervention and control group. The duration of the first and second stage of labour were evaluated and compared between groups.Results: Participants’ mean of age was 27.54 ± 4.52 (min. 20, max. 37) years and mean of gestational age was 39.63 ± 0.81 weeks. The mean duration of the second stage of labour was 28.42 ± 12.33 minutes for the Anastatica Hierochuntica L. group and 18.93 ± 10.48 minutes for the control group (p = 0.002). The total duration of labour was 221.50 ± 58.97 minutes for the intervention group and 193.13 ± 54.75 minutes for the control group. There were significant differences between the groups in the second stage and total duration of labour (p \u3c 0.050). There was no significant difference between the groups in terms of newborns’ mean birth weight, and the 1- and 5-minutes Apgar scores, and obstetric interventions.Conclusion: The results of the study revealed that the Anastatica Hierochuntica L. had no effect on shortening the duration of labour

    VIEWS OF FOREIGN STUDENTS LEARNING TURKISH ON TURKISH INSTRUCTORS

    In language teaching, in addition to the curriculum, the use of equipment, the attitudes and views of the instructor/educators and students about one another have a significance of its own. In an attempt to identify and examine the students' views on Turkish instructors in the process of teaching Turkish as a foreign language, this study aimed to reveal the relationship between the views of foreign students learning Turkish in Turkey on their instructors, in terms of gender, age and education level by using the relational scanning design. The data were collected from a total of 415 students who came to the Turkish Teaching Implementation and Research Center (ULUTÖMER) of Bursa Uludağ University in order to learn Turkish in the spring semester of 2020-2021. A triple point questionnaire consisting of 39 items was utilized to identify the views of foreign students towards their instructors. The questionnaire consisted of items related to the interaction of the students with their instructors, the cultural sensitivity of the instructors, the classroom management aa well as the teaching skills of the instructors. Before the questionnaire items were applied, they were presented to the expert opinion and the questionnaire items were finalized in accordance with the feedback of the experts. Participants were informed about the study and the link of the &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; questionnaire form was shared with them. For the analysis of the data, a descriptive analysis was performed for the variables of age, gender and education level. The frequencies and percentages of the answers given by the participants to the questions were established and the χ2 (chi-square) test was carried out to identify whether there was a significant relationship between the responses of the participants in terms of gender, age and education level. Cramer's V coefficient was utilized to calculate the strength of the relationship between the variables in the chi-square test used. In the statistical analyzes used in the study, the level of significance was accepted as 0.05

    In this research was examined the effects of STEAM education seventh grade students’ academic achievement, STEAM attitude and scientific creativity. In this research, it was used embedded experimental mixed method. The research was conducted in a middle school in Istanbul in the academic year of 2017-2018. The study group was consisted 33 students in the control group and 30 students in the experimental group. The STEAM activities developed using the 5E model for the “Reflection in the Mirror and Absorption of Light” unit by the researchers. The activities were applied in the experimental group for five weeks. In the result of the research, it was determined that the experimental group students’ academic achievement and overall STEAM attitudes were with intermediate effect size and significantly improved according to the control group students. Araştırmada gömülü deneysel karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. İstanbul’daki bir ortaokulda 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında yapılan araştırmanın çalışma grubu; kontrol grubunda 33, deney grubunda 30 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Deney grubunda “Aynalarda Yansıma ve Işığın Soğrulması” ünitesine yönelik 5E modeli kullanılarak araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen STEAM etkinlikleri, beş hafta süresince uygulanmıştır. Ünite boyunca “STEAM dehası-Leonardo da Vinci” teması işlenmiştir. Veri toplama araçları olarak; üniteye yönelik “Akademik Başarı Testi”,“STEAM Tutum Testi” ve “Bilimsel Yaratıcılık Rubriği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda deney grubu öğrencilerinin kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre akademik başarılarının ve genel STEAM tutumlarının orta düzeyde bir etkiyle anlamlı olarak geliştiği belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca deney grubu öğrencilerinin bilimsel yaratıcılık düzeylerinin süreç boyunca geliştiği sonucuna varılmıştır

Türkü,Türklere özgü demektir. Kırşehirli Türk HalkMüziği Sanatçısı Şemsî Yastıman’ın “Türk’ü anlamak isteyen türkü dinlesin” özdeyişi bunu açıklar. Türkü,anonim halk yazınında melodiyle söylenenve hece ölçüsüyle yazılmış, bestelenmiş koşuk, olarak tanımlanır. Anadoluhalkı bütün acılarını, sevinçlerini, aşklarını, dünya görüşlerini, yaşambiçimlerini türkülerle dile getirmiştir. Türküler, yörelere, içeriklerine ve nağmelerinegöre değişik isimler alır. Buna göre türkülerin, hoyrat, oturak, kırık hava,uzun hava gibi türleri vardır. Konularına göre incelendiğinde türkülerninniler, çocuk türküleri, doğa, aşk, kahramanlık ve askerlik, tören, iştürküleri, karşılıklı türküler, ölüm ve oyun türküleri olmak üzere on farklıgrupta toplanmaktadır. Bu farklı konuları ele alan türkü sözlerinin içerisindehalk kültürünün bir diğer önemli parçası olan tekstillerin geçmesi yadsınamaz.Bu çalışmada orta Anadolu’nun türkü merkezi olan Kırşehir’de anonim veya âşıktürkülerinde geçen tekstiller incelenmiş, Kırşehir yöresel tekstillerinin,türkülerde izlerinin sürülmesi amaçlanmıştır. İncelemede içerisinde bir tekstiladı geçen 60’dan fazla türküyle karşılaşılmıştır. Bu tekstiller; giysi adı(yazma, oyalı yazma, şalvar, cepken vb), kumaş adı (aba, kadife, basma, satenvb), yarı mamul madde adı (iplik, urgan, vb), hammadde adı (yün, ipek, ketenvb) ve dokuma araçlarının (gücü, ıstar, hana, darak, sındı, tefe vb) adları,şeklinde beş gruba ayrılarak ele alınmıştır. Günümüzde somut örneği bulunmayanyöresel tekstillerin türkülerde adının geçtiği, hatta betimlendiği belirlenmiştir

Daha sonra ise, hastane örgütlerinde hangi çatışma yönetimi yöntemlerinin uygulandığına yönelik bir anket çalışmasının sonuçlarına yer verilerek bir değerlendirmeye gidilmektedir

    Modelleme Yoluyla Problem Çözme ve Genelleme: İlköğretim Öğrencileriyle Bir Çalışma

    The purpose of this study was to investigate the modeling and generalizing processes of 3rd through 5th grade students while they are solving a non-routine additive word problem. The study utilized an experimental design with no control group. A total of 278 students from 7 different schools participated in the study. Students were asked a non routine word problem as a pretest. Then, they were given a semi structured worksheet based on modeling similar problems with small numbers. Finally, they were asked a non-routine problem similar to the one asked as the pretest. Results showed that the students had very low level of success on this type of problem. After the intervention, only the fifth graders made some improvement. Implications for mathematics teaching and learning are discussed.Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim 3-4 ve 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin rutin olmayan sözel toplamsal bir problemi çözerken modelleme ve genelleme sürecinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmada kontrol grubu olmayan deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışma 7 farklı ilköğretim okulundan toplam 278 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Öğrencilere rutin olmayan bir problem sorulmuş ve ön başarı seviyeleri tespit edilmiştir. Daha sonra benzer fakat daha küçük sayılar içeren problemleri modellemeye dayalı bir etkinlik çalışma kâğıdı uygulanmıştır. Son olarak ilk problemin eş yapı ve zorluk düzeyinde ayrı bir soru sorulmuştur. Bulgular bu tip bir soruda öğrencilerin başarı düzeylerinin oldukça düşük olduğunu göstermiştir. Deneysel müdahale sonucunda yalnızca 5. sınıflar önemli ölçüde bir gelişme kaydetmişlerdir. Matematik öğretimi ve öğrenimi açısından doğurgular tartışılmaktadır

    Demoethical Model of Sustainable Development of Society: A Roadmap towards Digital Transformation

    This study aims to explore a demoethical model for sustainable development in modern society. It proposes an approach that focuses on organizing activities to improve sustainable development. Specifically, it presents a demoethical model relevant to Society 5.0 and Industry 5.0 organizations. The objective is to identify demoethical values that can drive sustainable development in the era of digitalization. Through a literature review and analysis, this study identifies key components of the demoethical model and provides practical recommendations for stakeholders involved in digital transformation. The analysis of demoethical norms and phenomena, such as education, nurturing, mind, knowledge, science, and honest work, has enabled the identification of values that align with sustainable development in society. The results of the study demonstrate that the notion of a demoethical foundation for sustainability is rooted in the concept of spirituality as the basis for a new societal development scenario and its relationship with nature. The study shows that ideas about the demoethical basis of sustainability are based on the priority of spirituality as the basis of a new scenario for the development of society, as well as the integration of demographic, socio-economical, and ecological components in system-wide modeling
