Spectral properties of unbounded Jacobi matrices with almost monotonic weights

We present an unified framework to identify spectra of Jacobi matrices. We give applications to long-standing conjecture of Chihara concerning one-quarter class of orthogonal polynomials, to the conjecture posed by Roehner and Valent concerning continuous spectra of generators of birth and death processes and to spectral properties of operators studied by Janas, Moszy\'nski and Pedersen.Comment: 15 page

Idea miast dobrego życia – Cittàslow. Diagnoza możliwości przystąpienia miasta Sierakowa do sieci Cittàslow w kontekście procesów rewitalizacyjnych

Współczesne trendy w kształtowaniu miast zmierzają z jednej strony do tworzenia struktur inteligentnych (ang. smart city), ekologicznych (ang. green city), reagujących na dynamicznie zmieniające się potrzeby ich mieszkańców oraz środowiska. Z drugiej strony kultywowana jest idea spokojnego i dobrego życia, skupionego na wewnętrznych cechach małych społeczności (cittàslow lub slow city).Miasto Sieraków położone w zachodniej Polsce, w województwie wielkopolskim, jest siedzibą gminy miejsko-wiejskiej Sieraków. Atrakcyjna lokalizacja w dolinie rzeki Warty, na skraju Puszczy Noteckiej, pomiędzy dwoma jeziorami i w bliskim sąsiedztwie Poznania oraz długa historia i bogata tradycja tych terenów, a także małomiasteczkowy klimat sprzyja wypoczynkowi i turystyce. Obecnie samorząd lokalny podejmuje działania w zakresie opracowania i wdrożenia programu rewitalizacji. Wydaje się, że jest dobry czas na rozważenie możliwości przystąpienia miasta do sieci Cittàslow. Celem podjętych badań jest diagnoza możliwości przystąpienia miasta Sierakowa do sieci Cittàslow w kontekście procesów rewitalizacyjnych

Application of a control algorithm for the master unit of a distributed photovoltaic system

The presented distributed photovoltaic system is made of divided into individual modules photovoltaic panel, consisting of several photovoltaic cells properly connected and coupling them with low-power DC / DC converters. The essence of the research is to increase the reliability of the system and the resultant efficiency of the entire system, so that it is possible to convert solar radiation energy into electricity with the greatest efficiency. The article focuses on the presentation of the implementation and tests of the overriding control algorithm, the task of which is to provide full functionality fora distributed photovoltaic system. The control is designed to minimize the negative effects of shadows on the operation of the photovoltaic system and conduct self-diagnostics. The conclusion for the carried out work is the formulation of hardware and interface requirements for the further development of the project

MODELLING QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF THE SUPPLY CHAINS

The article presents how to use methods and tools in the area of quality engineering to assess the supply chain, having the example of the food industry. It outlines the regulatory requirements and standardization documents for the transport of dairy products. Using a questionnaire conducted it selects criteria that were directly used to assess the quality of the supply chain (network). Then, using the Pareto-Lorenz diagram the most important criteria were selected, which were also used in the study
