    Synchronization of Email Addresses

    Synchronizácia predstavuje proces udržiavania konzistencie dát uložených na viacerých miestach. Nástrojov určených k synchronizovaniu dát existuje celá rada. Od týchto aplikácií očakávame, aby synchronizácia prebehla rýchlo, spoľahlivo a bezpečne. V tejto práci sa zaoberám spôsobmi ukladania emailových adries poštovými programami a dostupnými možnosťami  synchronizácie súborov. Na základe získaných poznatkov navrhnem a implementujem funkčný model. Cieľom a motiváciou práce je vytvoriť vlastné riešenie, ktoré by plnilo svoju úlohu v oblasti synchronizácie emailových adries.Synchronization represents the process of keeping consistency of data stored in one or more locations. There are several applications with this function available on the market. We expect from applications to synchronize data quickly, reliable and safely. In my work I am concerned with the ways of storing email addresses by mail applications and available resources of file synchronization. As the result I will make and implement functional model. The purpose and motivation of this work is to create own solution, which will perform the synchronization of email addresses.

    Utilizing AI/ML methods for measuring data quality

    Kvalitní data jsou zásadní pro důvěryhodná rozhodnutí na datech založená. Značná část současných přístupů k měření kvality dat je spojena s náročnou, odbornou a časově náročnou prací, která vyžaduje manuální přístup k dosažení odpovídajících výsledků. Tyto přístupy jsou navíc náchylné k chybám a nevyužívají plně potenciál umělé inteligence (AI). Možným řešením je prozkoumat inovativní nové metody založené na strojovém učení (ML), které využívají potenciál AI k překonání těchto problémů. Významná část práce se zabývá teorií kvality dat, která poskytuje komplexní vhled do této oblasti. V existující literatuře byly objeveny čtyři moderní metody založené na ML a byla navržena jedna nová metoda založená na autoenkodéru (AE). Byly provedeny experimenty s AE a dolováním asociačních pravidel za pomoci metod zpracování přirozeného jazyka. Navrhované metody založené na AE prokázaly schopnost detekce potenciálních problémů s kvalitou dat na datasetech z reálného světa. Dolování asociačních pravidel dokázalo extrahovat byznys pravidla pro stanovený problém, ale vyžadovalo značné úsilí s předzpracováním dat. Alternativní metody nezaložené na AI byly také podrobeny analýze, ale vyžadovaly odborné znalosti daného problému a domény.High-quality data is crucial for trusted data-based decisions. A considerable part of current data quality measuring approaches is associated with expensive, expert and time-consuming work that includes manual effort to achieve adequate results. Furthermore, these approaches are prone to error and do not take full advantage of the AI potential. A possible solution is to explore ML-based state-of-the-art methods that are using the potential of AI to overcome these issues. A significant part of the thesis deals with data quality theory which provides a comprehensive insight into the field of data quality. Four ML-based state-of-the-art methods were discovered in the existing literature, and one novel method based on Autoencoders (AE) was proposed. Experiments with AE and Association Rule Mining using NLP were conducted. Proposed methods based on AE proved to detect potential data quality defects in real-world datasets. Association Rule Mining approach was able to extract business rules for a given business question, but the required significant preprocessing effort. Alternative non-AI methods were also analyzed but required reliance on expert and domain knowledge

    Synesthesia is a fairly rare phenomenon in which the subject in contact with certain stimulus in one modality experiences unusual extra sensations in other modalities, such as seeing or feeling colours while listening to music or personifying of letters and numbers. The phenomenon was long perceived to be merely a product of imagination and associations. Latest research, however, is based on a multidisciplinary approach, which includes first-hand synesthetic reports, neuroimaging and behavioural tests used in confirming and explaining the phenomenon’s presence as well as its neurophysiological foundations.     Práca sa zaoberá návrhom rodinného domu pre 2 dospelé osoby s 2 deťmi v oblasti Nové Domky pri Jihlave, na ktorý boli použité prírodné stavebné materiály. Miesto betónu či tehly boli využité materiály ako slama, kameň, drevo, hlina, konope či ovčia vlna. Ďalej práca rozoberá spôsoby vedenie vody a elektriky či možnosti vykurovania objektu. Riešené sú i možnosti využitia prírodných zdrojov energie alebo druhy ekologického spracovania odpadu. V závere práce sa nachádza i finančné porovnanie stavby z prírodných stavebných materiálov oproti stavbe z priemyselne vyrábaných stavebných materiálov.The subject of this work is the design of a detached family house in area Nove Domky near Jihlava in which natural construction materials were used. Instead of concrete or bricks, this building is designed with materials such as straw, rock, timber, clay, hemp or sheep's wool. Furthermore, the work deals with methods of plumbing, electrical installations and heating. The possible utilization of natural energy resources or ecological processing of waste were also taken into account. The conclusion contains the financial comparison with a building where traditional and industrially produced materials are used.

    THE ROLE OF AGROTOURISM IN SOCIOECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF ZADAR COUNTY – PERCEPTIONS OF RURAL STAKEHOLDERS

    U radu je na primjeru Zadarske županije analiziran agroturizam, kao segmentirani oblik turizma na obiteljskim poljoprivrednim gospodarstvima (OPG) i jedna od mogućnosti revitalizacije ruralnih područja. Osnovni ciljevi rada su: utvrditi prostorna i socioekonomska obilježja i procijeniti ulogu agroturizma u socioekonomskom razvoju ruralnog područja Zadarske županije. U tu svrhu provedeno je ispitivanje 30 dionika u ruralnom prostoru Zadarske županije. Rezultati su pokazali da nešto više od polovice ispitanih smatra kako agroturizam već sada pridonosi socioekonomskom razvoju ruralnog područja Županije, dok ih je u znatno većem postotku (90% ispitanih) potvrdilo da bi agroturistička djelatnost mogla potaknuti razvoj u sljedećih pet godina. Ispitanici predviđaju veću potporu EU fondova, povećanje potražnje za agroturizmom, povećanje vlastite konkurentnosti i povećanje dohotka. Međutim, potrebno je ukloniti ili barem smanjiti postojeće prepreke za razvoj agroturizma: nedovoljno financijskih sredstava za pokretanje, zahtjevnu administrativnu proceduru, nedovoljno proizvodnih resursa, neizgrađenu i neprilagođenu infrastrukturu i sl.In this paper are analyzed agrotourism as a segmented form of tourism on family farms and one of the possibilities of revitalization of rural areas in the Zadar County. The basic objectives are: to determine the spatial and socioeconomic characteristics and to estimate the role of agritourism in socioeconomic development in rural areas of Zadar County. For this purpose, we analyzed the secondary data sources and conducted interviews with 30 stakeholders in rural areas within Zadar County. The results show that the majority of respondents consider that agrotourism is already contributing to the socio-economic development of rural areas of the County, while a much higher percentage (90% of respondents) confirmed that the agrotourism activity could boost development in the next five years. Respondents expect greater support from the EU funds, the increase in demand for agrotourism, and increase of their competitiveness and income. However, it is necessary to eliminate or reduce existing barriers to the development of agrotourism: insufficient financial resources to start, consuming administrative procedures, lack of productive resources, undeveloped and unadjusted infrastructure etc

    The Effect of Mechanical Properties of a Rubber Compound on Tyre Wear

    This article deals with the effect of mechanical properties of a rubber compound on tyre wear. For detection purposes, samples of thirteen types of rubber compounds were made, used, and processed in practice. Their hardness was measured with an IRHD (International Rubber Hardness Degree) hardness tester; tensile strength and ductility measurements were carried out at a universal testing facility, Instron 4466. A rapid wear test was conducted on a roller abrasive machine. All measurements were assessed and compared. Selected original results are listed in this article

    Wavelet transform based object detector

    Diplomová práce se zabývá aplikací metod na detekci objektů v obraze. Při zpracování obrazu je často nutné oddělit objekty od pozadí. Vyhraní se tak oblast zájmu, s kterou se dále pracuje. Hlavním cílem práce je vysvětlení principů předzpracování a segmentace obrazu s následným nalezením objektů, využívající vlnkovou transformaci. Ta je popsána podrobněji, protože je základem pro primárně použitou metodu. V praktické části diplomové práce byla metoda využívající vlnkovou transformaci implementována do prostředí MATLAB a testována na souboru obrázků. Byla vyzkoušena její odolnost vůči šumu, rozmazání obrazu. Dále pak byla srovnána s běžně používanými metodami využívající hranové detektory a prahování. Pro ukázku a srovnání účinnosti metod byl vytvořen simulační program, včetně uživatelského rozhraní.This thesis deals with applying methods on object detection in image. Separation of objects off the background is often needed during the image processing. It isolates the region of interest that can be worked with. The main purpose of this paper is the explanation of principles of pre-processing and segmentation of image, resulting in object detection using the wavelet transformation. This wavelet transformation is described more in detail, because it is the base of the primary used method. In the practical part of this thesis the main method was implemented to MATLAB environment and tested on set of images. The method was tested for robustness against noise and blur of image. It was compared with commonly used methods, using the edge detectors and thresholding. A simulation program was created for comparison of methods efficiency, including user interface.
