Rule-restricted Automaton-grammar transducers: Power and Linguistic Applications

    Get PDF
This paper introduces the notion of a new transducer as a two-component system, which consists of a nite automaton and a context-free grammar. In essence, while the automaton reads its input string, the grammar produces its output string, and their cooperation is controlled by a set, which restricts the usage of their rules. From a theoretical viewpoint, the present paper discusses the power of this system working in an ordinary way as well as in a leftmost way. In addition, the paper introduces an appearance checking, which allows us to check whether some symbols are present in the rewritten string, and studies its e ect on the power. It achieves the following three main results. First, the system generates and accepts languages de ned by matrix grammars and partially blind multi-counter automata, respectively. Second, if we place a leftmost restriction on derivation in the context-free grammar, both accepting and generating power of the system is equal to generative power of context-free grammars. Third, the system with appearance checking can accept and generate all recursively enumerable languages. From more pragmatical viewpoint, this paper describes several linguistic applications. Systems of Formal Models with Applications

This paper introduces and discusses automata systems as a new way for formal languages processing. In the text there are four models described. The first model works on sequential mode. At one computation step only one of components works. The second one works on semi-parallel mode. At the one computation step either one or all the components of the automata system work. In the last two models each component of the automata system has its own input string. The computation step of each component is influenced by their states, or used rules. The state, or used rule of the components of automata system can block or unblock some or all automata of the system.

Within this thesis a complex analysis of an electrically heated tumble clothes dryer was performed in order to identify design optimization possibilities leading to an improvement of a heat transfer. A computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approach involving an employment of the commercial software Fluent and development of a custom heat transfer model was selected to resolve the problem in a required level of detail.

Real-time Analysis of NetFlow Data for Generating Network Traffic Statistics using Apache Spark

Abstract—In this paper, we present a framework for the realtime generation of network traffic statistics on Apache Spark Streaming, a modern distributed stream processing system. Our previous results showed that stream processing systems provide enough throughput to process a large volume of NetFlow data and hence they are suitable for network traffic monitoring. This paper describes the integration of Apache Spark Streaming into a current network monitoring architecture. We prove that it is possible to implement the same basic methods for NetFlow data analysis in the stream processing framework as in the traditional ones. Moreover, our stream processing implementation discovers new information which is not available when using traditional network monitoring approaches

Magnetic structures in the rich magnetic phase diagram of Ho2_2RhIn8_8

The magnetic phase diagram of the tetragonal Ho2_2RhIn8_8 compound has similar features to many related systems, revealing a zero magnetic field AF1 and a field-induced AF2 phases. Details of the magnetic order in the AF2 phase were not reported yet for any of the related compounds. In addition, only the Ho2_2RhIn8_8 phase diagram contains a small region of the incommensurate zero-field AF3 phase. We have performed a number of neutron diffraction experiments on single crystals of Ho2_2RhIn8_8 using several diffractometers including experiments in both horizontal and vertical magnetic fields up to 4 T. We present details of the magnetic structures in all magnetic phases of the rich phase diagram of Ho2_2RhIn8_8. The Ho magnetic moments point along the tetragonal cc axis in every phase. The ground-state AF1 phase is characterized by propagation vector k\textbf{k} = (1/2, 0, 0). The more complex ferrimagnetic AF2 phase is described by four propagation vectors k0\textbf{k}_{0} = (0, 0, 0), k1\textbf{k}_{1} = (1/2, 0, 0), k2\textbf{k}_{2} = (0, 1/2, 1/2), k3\textbf{k}_{3} = (1/2, 1/2, 1/2). The magnetic structure in the AF3 phase is incommensurate with kAF3\textbf{k}_{AF3} = (0.5, δ\delta, 0). Our results are consistent with theoretical calculations based on crystal field theory.Comment: submitted to PR

This thesis deals with the stress analysis of the drum conveyor and comparison of methods used. The solution is performed in two different ways. The first way is the solution of the analytical method. This older method is based on a simple idealization of the drum geometry. Then the drum is solved using the superposition principle. To speed up calculation was utilized the mathematical program Matlab. The second way is a numerical solution method. This method uses the real geometry of the drum. For this type of solution were used FEM programs Patran and Nastran to determine the resulting stress. In conclusion, the results are compared both methods. The following are also compared the advantages and disadvantages of both methods used.339 - Katedra pružnosti a pevnostivýborn

A Performance Benchmark of NetFlow Data Analysis on Distributed Stream Processing Systems

    Get PDF
Modern distributed stream processing systems can be potentially applied to real time network flow processing. However, differences in performance make some systems more suitable than others for being applied in this domain. We propose a novel performance benchmark which is based on a common security analysis algorithms of NetFlow data, to determine the suitability of distributed stream processing system. Three of the most used distributed stream processing systems are benchmarked and results are compared with identified NetFlow data processing challenges and requirements. Benchmark results show that each system reached a sufficient data processing speed using basic deployment scenario with little to no configuration tuning. Our benchmark, unlike any other, enables to determine a performance of processing small structured messages on any stream processing system
