Non-Hermitian Dirac Hamiltonian in three dimensional gravity and pseudo-supersymmetry
The Dirac Hamiltonian in the (2+1) dimensional curved space-time has been
studied with a metric for an expanding de Sitter space-time which is a two
sphere. The spectrum and the exact solutions of the time dependent
non-Hermitian and angle dependent Hamiltonians are obtained in terms of the
Jacobi and Romanovski polynomials. Hermitian equivalent of the Hamiltonian
obtained from the Dirac equation is discussed in the frame of
pseudo-Hermiticity. Furthermore, pseudo-supersymmetric quantum mechanical
techniques are expanded to a curved Dirac Hamiltonian and a partner curved
Dirac Hamiltonian is generated. Using \eta-pseudo-Hermiticity, the intertwining
operator connecting the non-Hermitian Hamiltonians to the Hermitian
counterparts is found. We have obtained a new metric tensor related to the new
Hamiltonian
Lacrimal gland tumors in Turkey: types, frequency, and outcomes.
AIM: To evaluate the clinical, radiological, and treatment features of lacrimal gland tumors.
METHODS: Retrospective review of 99 eyes of 92 patients with lacrimal gland tumors diagnosed and managed in a single institution between January 1999 and March 2017. Clinical and radiological features, histopathology, treatment methods, and prognosis were evaluated.
RESULTS: The mean patient age was 40.3 (range: 7-80)y. The diagnosis was made histopathologically in 91 (91.9%) tumors and on a clinical and radiological basis in 8 (8.1%) tumors. Final diagnoses included idiopathic orbital inflammation (pseudotumor) in 46 (46.5%) lesions, pleomorphic adenoma in 14 (14.1%), adenoid cystic carcinoma in 12 (12.1%), granulomatous inflammation in 10 (10.1%), lymphoma in 5 (5.0%), benign reactive lymphoid hyperplasia in 3 (3.0%), dacryops in 3 (3.0%), carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma in 2 (2.0%), adenocarcinoma in 1 (1.0%), dermoid cyst in 1 (1.0%), cavernous hemangioma in 1 (1.0%), and leukemic infiltration in 1 (1.0%). Non-epithelial tumors comprised 64.6% (
CONCLUSION: Overall, 65% of lacrimal gland tumors were of non-epithelial origin and 32% of epithelial origin. By histopathology and clinical evaluation, 79% of lacrimal gland tumors were benign. The most common lacrimal gland tumors include idiopathic orbital inflammation (46.5%), epithelial (32.3%), and lymphoproliferative (8.1%) lesions
Supersymmetric analysis for the Dirac equation with spin-symmetric and pseudo-spin-symmetric interactions
A supersymmetric analysis is presented for the d-dimensional Dirac equation
with central potentials under spin-symmetric
(S(r) = V(r)) and pseudo-spin-symmetric (S(r) = - V(r)) regimes. We construct
the explicit shift operators that are required to factorize the Dirac
Hamiltonian with the Kratzer potential. Exact solutions are provided for both
the Coulomb and Kratzer potentials.Comment: 12 page
Study of the Generalized Quantum Isotonic Nonlinear Oscillator Potential
We study the generalized quantum isotonic oscillator Hamiltonian given by H=−d2/dr2+l(l+1)/r2+w2r2+2g(r2−a2)/(r2+a2)2, g>0. Two approaches are explored. A method for finding
the quasipolynomial solutions is presented, and explicit expressions for these polynomials are given,
along with the conditions on the potential parameters. By using the asymptotic iteration method,
we show how the eigenvalues of this Hamiltonian for arbitrary values of the parameters g, w, and a

One of the fields which is influenced by the computer technologies is certainly education. It is argued that the use of the computer technologies in many studies conducted academically will yields positive results in all fields for the realization education and teaching. However, when the fields, domains of interest, aim, methods and the material are taken into consideration, it can be argued that geography can benefit from the development brought by the computer technologies more than any other disciplines. In the present study, the effects of interactive map test software, emerging from the joint use of maps, which constitute a significant place in the geography education and computer technologies on the academic success of the learners were investigated. The sample group of the study is 152 university students taking Turkish Geography and Geopolitics in the department of Classroom Teaching in Faculty of Education in 2013-2014 educational terms in Cumhuriyet University. SPSS 18.0 program was used for the analysis of the data collected in the present study. The obtained data were analyzed by means of two-way analysis of variance for there surveys and of t test for independent samples. According to the findings of the study, it can be suggested that the use of interactive map tests in geography teaching improves the academic success of the learners21. yüzyılda hayatın her alanında insanların karşısına çıkan bilgisayar teknolojileri birey ve toplum hayatında önemli değişikliklere sebep olmaktadır. A new approach to the exact solutions of the effective mass Schrodinger equation
Effective mass Schrodinger equation is solved exactly for a given potential.
Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used to obtain energy eigenvalues and the
corresponding wave functions. A free parameter is used in the transformation of
the wave function. The effective mass Schrodinger equation is also solved for
the Morse potential transforming to the constant mass Schr\"{o}dinger equation
for a potential. One can also get solution of the effective mass Schrodinger
equation starting from the constant mass Schrodinger equation.Comment: 14 page
The Quantum Effective Mass Hamilton-Jacobi Problem
In this article, the quantum Hamilton- Jacobi theory based on the position
dependent mass model is studied. Two effective mass functions having different
singularity structures are used to examine the Morse and Poschl- Teller
potentials. The residue method is used to obtain the solutions of the quantum
effective mass- Hamilton Jacobi equation. Further, it is shown that the
eigenstates of the generalized non-Hermitian Swanson Hamiltonian for Morse and
Poschl-Teller potentials can be obtained by using the Riccati equation without
solving a differential equation
