Values Educatıon Through Multıcultural TextsAbstractValues education started to gain importance for many decades since teaching values was associated with educational concerns and principles. For example, the socialization approach shows the theories of moral development and character education by Dewey, Piaget, and Kohlberg. Additionally, academics like Heider, Lovinger, Marx, Hoffman, Anderson, and Schwartz highlight their ideas by emphasizing the integration and individuality of moral development and personal evolution. According to this view, global and universal values exist everywhere. Schwartz (1992) lists the following characteristics as examples of these values: 1. Values are beliefs, 2. Values refer to desirable goals, 3. Values transcend specific actions and situations, 4. Values serve as standards or criteria, 5. Values are ordered by importance, 6. The relative importance of multiple values guides to action. The current study aims to assess whether multicultural literary texts can improve values or not. The current study uses six diverse short stories to teach English teachers-intraining two basic values, benevolence and universalism, based on multiculturalism. In this study, two groups willingly participated in the research, and the Portrait Values Questionnaire (PVQ) was used as a pre-and post-test design to gauge the participants' perception of values and attitudes. The result indicated that the intervention through literary texts based on the multiculturalism criterion improved the treatment group's understanding of benevolence and universalism. Keywords: Values, Character Education, Multicultural Literary Texts, Universality, Moral Development</p

Aim: In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of soft tissue mobilization on pain, disability level, depressive symptoms and to determine the effect of sociodemographic data on the recovery level of patients with chronic non-specific low back pain.Materials and Methods: One hundred twenty-two participants (78 females, 44 males, mean age: 51.08 +/- 10.78 years) were included in our randomized controlled study. Fifteen sessions (5 days a week; during 3 weeks) of conventional physiotherapy programme (hot-packs, TENS, therapeutic Ultrasound and exercise) were applied in both groups. Nine sessions (3 days a week; during 3 weeks) of soft tissue mobilization technique were performed additionally to the participants in Group 1. Pain intensity (Visual Analog Scale), disability level (Rolland Morris Disability Questionnaire), depressive symptoms (Beck Depression Scale) were examined before and after the treatment. Results: Decrease in pain intensity, disability level, and depressive symptoms were statistically significant in both groups (p 0.05).Discussion: Soft Tissue Mobilization provides an additional benefit to the Conventional Physiotherapy program in reducing pain intensity and disability level in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain
