COVID-19 is highly transmissible and spreads rapidly in the population. This increases the occupational risk for health care workers. In otolaryngology clinic practice, patients with upper respiratory tract infection symptoms are common. Also, routine head and neck examinations such as oral cavity examination, nasal/nasopharyngeal examination, or video laryngostroboscopic evaluation are highly risky because of the aerosol formation. To emphasize this issue, two leading otolaryngology organizations in Turkey; 'Voice Speech and Swallowing Disorders Society', and 'Professional Voice Society' gathered a task force. This task force aimed to prepare a consensus report that would provide practical recommendations of the safety measurements during routine clinical care of laryngology patients. To fulfill this, universal aim, on the 2nd and 9th of May 2020, two web-based meetings were conducted by 20 expert physicians. This eighteen items list was prepared as an output

Thesis (Master)--Izmir Institute of Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Izmir, 2019Includes bibliographical references (leaves: 44-47)Text in English; Abstract: Turkish and EnglishRobot manipulators are widely used to perform pre–defined tasks repetitively. Nearly all of the mass production factories use the robot manipulators to perform specific operations over and over again. In such a system, the control design may contain some difficulties, unavailabilities and/or there would be additive disturbances due to the periodic motion. Moreover, cost reduction may be vital, hence sensor usage has to be reduced. In the first part of this thesis, to address those restrictions, a model free full state feedback repetitive learning controller which is fused with a one–layer neural network is proposed for robot manipulator which performs a periodic motion. Stability of the system is ensured via Lyapunov based techniques. Numerical simulations and experimental results are introduced to demonstrate the performance of the proposed controller. In the second part of the thesis, under the additional constraint that velocity measurements being unavailable, output feedback repetitive learning controller fused with a neural network term is investigated. The dynamic model of the robot manipulator is again considered as uncertain to avoid its usage as part of the control design, and the reference position vector is still considered to be periodic. The stability of the closed loop system is investigated via Lyapunov based techniques. Numerical simulations are added to demonstrate the proposed controller performance.

    No full text
Educational organizations include intense human relations and social interaction. In this respect, the potential for the emergence of crises in educational organizations is quite high. In the literature, agile leadership is a significant type of leadership in which leaders possess an ability to take quick and correct decisions, cope with stress and psychological pressures, and remain calm while managing crises. In addition, a strong, established, and experienced organizational culture is essential in times of crisis. With these aspects, the variables of crisis management, agile leadership, and organizational culture are considered to be related to each other. The relationship between the variables of crisis management, agile leadership, and organizational culture, as well as the direction and size of this relationship, was examined. The study was designed in the correlational model. Teachers working in public primary schools in Malatya during the 2021-2022 academic year were included in the population of the study. In the study, 406 teachers determined by the random method were included in the sample. Data were collected through five-point Likert-type scales including “Crisis Management”, “Agile Leadership”, and “Organizational Culture”. Teachers reported that there was a moderate, positive, and significant relationship between crisis management, agile leadership, and organizational culture. In addition, it was concluded that the agile leadership of the principals and organizational culture could predict crisis management. It is recommended that agile leaders be employed in organizations, agile leadership training be provided, and strong and permanent/continuous cultures be established in organizations to avoid the negative effects of crises on organizations and employees in educational organizations

2017 American Control Conference, ACC 2017; Sheraton Seattle HotelSeattle; United States; 24 May 2017 through 26 May 2017Control of robot manipulators performing periodic tasks is considered in this work. The control problem is complicated by presence of uncertainties in the robot manipulator's dynamic model. To address this restriction, a model free repetitive learning controller design is aimed. To reduce the heavy control effort, a neural network based compensation term is fused with the repetitive learning controller. The convergence of the tracking error to the origin is ensured via Lyapunov based techniques. Numerical simulations and experiments are performed to demonstrate the viability of the proposed controller.TUBITAK (115E726
