In solving complex optimization tasks evolutionary algorithms have a leading position.
Unusual look at the optimization algorithms presented in the thesis, led to the creation of
the new algorithm and work on its development to put its metaphors in a group of artificial
life. The resulting algorithms are still the effective optimization algorithms and the
proposed approach introduces new properties in their operation. The study presents a new
algorithm of observation - as the base algorithm and its metaphors placed in a group of
immune algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithms. Research on the mechanics
of these algorithms demonstrated new properties, i.e.: behavior resembling observation,
and co-evolution mechanism determines the behavior of independence on influences of the
environment. Implementation of the assumptions imposed the need to develop effective
mechanism of mutation for immune algorithm. The functions of behavior scenarios were
defined for the particle swarm optimization algorithm. A group of immune systems is
proposed which is an equivalent to the multi-population system and methods of information
exchange between systems in the group are defined. The thesis presents a theoretical
background of algorithms’ operation and a simulation study. To check the efficiency of the
algorithms the typical test environment for stationary and non-stationary problems were
applied. In the study, fractal and multifractal analysis was used and its usefulness was
demonstrated in research on behavior of algorithms. Optimization of diagnostic structure
of digital circuit is an issue of multimodal optimization and is a particular kind of challenge.
A comprehensive approach to test multi-module circuit may lead to new solutions,
also in terms of a single module testing. Such concepts are included in this study, basing
on an untypical approach to testing multi-module circuit, the conclusion has a strong
theoretical base. The original achievements in this dissertation are as follows: a proposal
of BIST architecture based on the so-called linear modification, the introduction of the
diagnostic structure description, and determination of the theoretical basis of this concept,
confirmation of the formulated theoretical basement and simultaneously the verification
of the diagnostic efficiency of the proposed solutions by means of simulation methods
basing on modeling with using ISCAS’89 benchmark, the demonstration of permanent
features of modules during testing, the presentation of a formal description of any diagnostic
structure with a description of the optimization framework and the concept of
simulation tools used in the current research. Simultaneously, the study shows the original
use of a genetic algorithm to give a high efficiency optimization. This part of the study
presents a complete system of description of any diagnostic structure with the optimization
method. The solutions presented in the dissertation open the way for the further research.
This dissertation is composed of two parts, despite of the common basis in a form of
evolutionary algorithms, they are present different and closed thematically issues.

Wielokryterialne, mrowiskowe algorytmy optymalizacji w nawigacji samochodowej
Jest on oparty
Na podstawie algorytmu AVN, znanego z literatury, zaprezentowano nowe, udoskonalone algorytmy NAVN i MultiNAVN będące głównymi efektami prac nad niniejszą rozprawa.
Zaproponowano dwie wersje algorytmu MultiNAVN: z kryterium zastępczym (MultiNAVNZ)
danych rzeczywistych. Wykorzystano cztery kryteria oceny rozwiązań: długość drogi, szerokość
drogi, liczba skrzyżowań oraz bezpieczeństwo. Dane dotyczące trzech pierwszych kryteriów pozyskano z bazy danych systemu OpenStreetMap, a jako kryterium bezpieczeństwa wykorzystano informacje o wypadkach i kolizjach z systemu Policji o nazwie SEWiK.
Metaheuristic algorithms are general algorithms allowing to solve various types of computational
problems, usually optimization ones. In the dissertation, new versions of selected
metaheuristic algorithms were developed: Tabu Search and Ant Colony Optimization algorithms.
They have been adapted to solve the problem of cryptanalysis of stream ciphers, which
are an important element of data protection processed and stored in information systems.
Attempts to hide information from unauthorized persons have a long history. As early as
the 5th century BC there was a simple Atbash substitution cipher among the Hebrew scholars.
Although a lot has changed since then, and the art of encrypting information has undergone
a significant transformation, the issue of confidentiality of communication is still important.
Encryption is used wherever protection of transmitted or stored data, especially in information
systems, is of key importance. Encryption is used when talking on the phone or logging in via
the Internet to a bank account. It is also of great importance in the military. Encryption is an
issue with a long history, still important and topical.
The proposed Tabu Search and Ant Colony Optimization algorithms adapted to cryptanalysis
were tested using three stream ciphers: RC4, VMPC and RC4+. This enabled the development
of an attack independent of the design of the cipher itself, assuming that the internal state
of the cipher can be represented as a permutation of numbers from a given range.
For all proposed metaheuristic algorithms, four types of fitness functions have been tested,
three of which are original ones. The original fitness functions enabled achieving better results
for all three analysed metaheuristic algorithms compared to a function known from the
literature.
Each of the proposed algorithms were tested in terms of the impact of parameters values on
the results they achieved. Also the results achieved by all three metaheuristic algorithms were
compared to one another. The results obtained during cryptanalysis of smaller and full versions
of the analysed ciphers with the use of Tabu Search were compared with the results obtained
by other metaheuristic algorithms, showing that Tabu Search leads to better results than other
metaheuristics. The results obtained using the Tabu Search algorithm were also compared to
attacks known from the literature on selected stream ciphers. The results of the experiments
indicate that for the VMPC and RC4+ ciphers, the proposed cryptanalysis algorithm using Tabu
Search may be better than the cryptanalysis algorithms known so far. The results achieved by
other metaheuristic algorithms considered were not as good as for Tabu Search, although it
cannot be ruled out that further enhancement of these algorithms could improve the results

The shortest route search with ant algorithms
Praca poświęcona jest problemowi znajdowania najkrótszej drogi w grafie poszukiwań. Zastosowano do tego celu algorytmy mrówkowe. Zbudowano model optymalizacyjny. Wybrano 8 różnych algorytmów mrówkowych. Przedstawiono i omówiono uzyskane wyniki optymalizacji długości drogi. The presented research results indicate the usefulness of ant algorithms in the optimization of the road length. Admittedly, ant algorithms do not guarantee an optimal solution, but they provide a suboptimal (rational) solution. In a situation where we have limited time to solve the optimization problem, the guarantee of terminating the algorithm and obtaining a rational, acceptable solution is an attractive alternative for conducting long-term calculations and finding a little better solution
