    PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN ADAPTIVE REASONING SISWA

    AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kemampuan adaptive reasoning siswa yang masih rendah. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, peneliti menggunakan pembelajaran Realistic Mathematics Education karena tahap pembelajaran ini mendukung pada indikator kemampuan adaptive Reasoning siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan dan pencapaian kemampuan adaptive Reasoning siswa melalui pendekatan pembelajaran RME. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 5 Kota Tasikmalaya Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan purposive sampling dengan kelas IXF sebagai kelas eksperimen yaitu pembelajaran RME dan kelas IXG sebagai kelas kontrol yaitu pembelajaran biasa yang masing-masing terdiri dari 32 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan instrumen tes berupa uraian berjumlah 4 soal. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah uji t dan uji Mann-Whitney dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pengolahan data, analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Peningkatan adaptive reasoning siswa kategori PS (atas dan menengah) yang memperoleh pembelajaran RME lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran Konvensional. AbstractThis research is motivated by the ability of adaptive reasoning of students who are still low. To overcome these problems, researchers use Realistic Mathematics Education because this learning stage supports the indicators of Adaptive Reasoning ability of students. The purpose of this research is to know the improvement and achievement of Adaptive Reasoning ability of students through learning approach of RME. The method used in this research is the quasi experiments with the nonequivalent design study of pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this research is all students of class IX SMP Negeri 5 Kota Tasikmalaya Lesson Year 2015/2016. Sampling in this research is done by purposive sampling with class IXF as experiment class that is learning of RME and class IXG as control class that is conventional which each consist of 32 students. Technique of collecting data that is using test instrument in the form of description is 4 problems. Data analysis techniques used to test the hypothesis are t test and Mann-Whitney test with significance level of 5%. Based on the results of research, data processing, data analysis and hypothesis testing, it is concluded that the increase of adaptive reasoning of (upper and middle) PS category students who gain RME learning is better than students who get conventional learning

    This study aims to describe the adaptive reasoning skills of students in SMP Negeri 5 Purwokerto in terms of student learning activeness in the subject system of two-variable linear equations. This study uses qualitative research methods and uses the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation (display data) and conclusions (verification/conclusion drawing). Sources of data in this study were students of class VIII H. The research subjects were obtained using purposive sampling techniques, and students were categorized into three categories, namely students with high, medium and low learning activeness categories. Each group was selected by three students for research purposes. Data collection methods in this study used questionnaires, tests, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study it can be said that students who have high learning activeness are able and meet three of the five indicators of adaptive reasoning skills appropriately, students who have active learning are not yet adequately fulfilling indicators of adaptive reasoning skills appropriately, and students who have low learning activeness have not been able to and mastering precisely the indicators of adaptive reasoning abilities

    The Implementation Of Problem Based Learning Model Through Group Investigation In Mathematics Learning Viewed From Student’s Adaptive Reasoning In SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta

    The purpose of this research is to analyze: (1) the influence of the use of problem based learning model through group investigation to student’s mathematics achievement, (2) the influence of adaptive reasoning ability to student’s mathematics achievement, (3) the interaction between the use of problem based learning model through group investigation and adaptive reasoning ability to student’s mathematics achievement. This research uses an experimental research. The populations are all students of grade VIII of 2012/2013 academic year in SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta. Samples taken in this research as many as two classes, consist of VIII B as experiment class with 27 students and VIII A as control class with 28 students. The sampling technique used in this research is cluster random sampling. Data collection methods used are questionnaire method, method of test and documentation method. Data analysis techniques use two ways analysis of variance with unequal cells, a prerequisite test used the Lilliefors method to normality test and the Barlett method to homogeneity test. From the analysis of data with 5% of significant level, it is satisfied that : (1) there is no influence of the use of problem based learning model through group investigation to student’s mathematics achievement with FA = 3,33, (2) there is the influence of adaptive reasoning ability to student’s mathematics achievement with FB = 6,54, and (3) there is no interaction between the use of problem based learning model through group investigation and adaptive reasoning ability to student’s mathematics achievement with FAB = 0,16

    AbstractThe purpose of this research was to know the ability of student adaptive reasoning in problems solving composition function. Method used in this research was the descriptive with  case study. The subject was students of class X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak and the object was the ability of student adaptive reasoning in problems solving composition function. Data collection tecniques used in this research was a test techniques and direct communication techniques, so that a collection instrumen of data used to this research was written test and interview. Based on the results and discussion, it showed that the ability of reasoning adaptive students there are 26 students that is at medium category with a score of 2 of the maximum score 3, while in the low there were 4 students with a score 1 of the maximum score 3,  and there were 4 students who are in the high category with a score of 3. Keyword: Adaptive Reasoning,  Composition Function, Problem Solvin
