Dialogues with a talking face for web-based services and transactions
In this paper we discuss our research on interactions in a virtual theatre that has been built using VRML and therefore can be accessed through Web pages. In\ud
the virtual environment we employ several agents. The virtual theatre allows navigation input through keyboard and mouse, but there is also a navigation\ud
agent which listens to typed input and spoken commands. Feedback of the system is given using speech synthesis. We also have an information agent which allows a natural language dialogue with the system where the input is keyboard-driven and the output is both with tables as with template driven natural language generation. In development are several talking faces for the different agents in the virtual world. At this moment an avatar with a cartoon-like talking face driven by a text-to-speech synthesizer can provide users with information about performances in the theatre

processes. The rapid development of the Web, in
particular, the introduction of the semantic web and
web service technologies, enables business
processes, modeling and management to enter an
entirely new stage. Traditional web based business
data and transactions can now be analyzed,
extracted and modeled to discover new business
rules and to form new business strategies, let alone
mining the business data in order to classify
customers or products. In this paper, we investigate
and analyze the business integration models in the
context of web services using a micro-payment
system because a micro-payment system is
considered to be a service intensive activity, where
many payment tasks involve different forms of
services, such as payment method selection for
buyers, security support software, product price
comparison, etc. We will use the micro-payment case
to discuss and illustrate how the web services
approaches support and transform the business
process and integration model.

Moving toward a framework to compose intelligent web services
A framework for contract-based support to establish virtual collaboration is proposed using loosely coupled and heterogeneous intelligent Web services. A business process redesign scenario is also discussed for integrating shared business process between a PC manufacturer and a semiconductor manufacturer. Contracts encapsulate the control information for intelligent Web services (IWS) engaged in e-business transactions. IWS show promise as a means of supporting cross-organizational business transactions

Oproti jiĆŸ funkÄnĂm implementacĂm pĆinĂĄĆĄĂ podporu specifikace WS-BusinessActivity a jinĂœ zpĆŻsob kontroly, zda mĂĄ podnikovĂœ proces pouĆŸĂt distribuovanĂ© transakce u volanĂœch webovĂœch sluĆŸeb.The goal of this work is to implement a support of distributed transactions into the project RiftSaw so that web services can be invoked within distributed transactions by business processes. And only if a web service operation requires to be performed within a distributed transaction. Comparing to already working implementations, the presented sulution brings support of WS-BusinessActivity specification and a different way of checking that a business process use distributed transactions for invoked web services.
ReLock: a resilient two-phase locking RESTful transaction model
Service composition and supporting transactions across composed services are among the major challenges characterizing service-oriented computing. REpresentational State Transfer (REST) is one of the approaches used for implementing Web services that is gaining momentum thanks to its features making it suitable for cloud computing and microservices-based contexts. This paper introduces ReLock, a resilient RESTful transaction model introducing general purpose transactions on RESTful services by a layered approach and a two-phase locking mechanism not requesting any change to the RESTful services involved in a transaction
Perancangan Web Jasa Penyewaan Sound System Pada Eman Sounds
Eman Sounds is a business venture in the field of sound system rental services. The Eman sounds does not currently have a website application. The leasing service transaction system is still done conventionally, where if anyone wants to rent a sound system for a wedding or other official event can come directly to the Eman Sounds to see and rent it. For transaction reports sound system rental services are still recorded with paper so as to allow for data loss and errors in recording transactions. The purpose of this study is that the author will design a web sound system rental service for Eman Sounds so that it is expected to simplify the process of leasing transactions and making rental reports. The author uses the system development method, namely the waterfall model for this study. The use of PHP and HTML programming languages ââthe author uses to create web rental services and MYSQL as the database. The results of this study are expected that with a web design sound system rental service can help Eman Sounds in the process of managing rental transactions and reports
