Dynamic integration of context model constraints in web service processes
Autonomic Web service composition has been a challenging topic for some years. The context in which composition takes places determines essential aspects. A context model can provide meaningful composition information for services process composition. An ontology-based approach for context information integration is the basis of a constraint approach to dynamically integrate context validation into service processes. The dynamic integration of context constraints into an orchestrated service process is a necessary direction to achieve autonomic service composition
Towards a Step Semantics for Story-Driven Modelling
Graph Transformation (GraTra) provides a formal, declarative means of
specifying model transformation. In practice, GraTra rule applications are
often programmed via an additional language with which the order of rule
applications can be suitably controlled.
Story-Driven Modelling (SDM) is a dialect of programmed GraTra, originally
developed as part of the Fujaba CASE tool suite. Using an intuitive,
UML-inspired visual syntax, SDM provides usual imperative control flow
constructs such as sequences, conditionals and loops that are fairly simple,
but whose interaction with individual GraTra rules is nonetheless non-trivial.
In this paper, we present the first results of our ongoing work towards
providing a formal step semantics for SDM, which focuses on the execution of an

A Pattern Based Approach to Defining the Dynamic Infrastructure of UML 2.0
The 2U Consortium has recently submitted a proposal for the definition of the UML 2.0 infrastructure. This uses an innovative technique of rapidly âstamping outâ the definition using a small number of patterns commonly found in software architecture. The patterns, their instantiation, and any further language details are described using precise class diagrams and OCL, this enables the definition to be easily understood. The main focus of the 2U approach is on the static part of the definition. A further concern when modelling software, using languages such as the UML, is describing the dynamic
behaviour of the system over time. The contribution of this paper is to provide a template that can be
used to âstamp outâ the dynamic part of the UML 2.0 infrastructure. We argue for the suitability of the
dynamic template because it makes little commitment to concrete abstractions and can, therefore, be used
to support a broad spectrum of behavioural languages
Proceedings of the 3rd Workshop on Domain-Specific Language Design and Implementation (DSLDI 2015)
The goal of the DSLDI workshop is to bring together researchers and
practitioners interested in sharing ideas on how DSLs should be designed,
implemented, supported by tools, and applied in realistic application contexts.
We are both interested in discovering how already known domains such as graph
processing or machine learning can be best supported by DSLs, but also in
exploring new domains that could be targeted by DSLs. More generally, we are
interested in building a community that can drive forward the development of
modern DSLs. These informal post-proceedings contain the submitted talk
abstracts to the 3rd DSLDI workshop (DSLDI'15), and a summary of the panel

Robust Processing of Natural Language
Previous approaches to robustness in natural language processing usually
treat deviant input by relaxing grammatical constraints whenever a successful
analysis cannot be provided by ``normal'' means. This schema implies, that
error detection always comes prior to error handling, a behaviour which hardly
can compete with its human model, where many erroneous situations are treated
without even noticing them.
The paper analyses the necessary preconditions for achieving a higher degree
of robustness in natural language processing and suggests a quite different
approach based on a procedure for structural disambiguation. It not only offers
the possibility to cope with robustness issues in a more natural way but
eventually might be suited to accommodate quite different aspects of robust

A Calculus for Orchestration of Web Services
Service-oriented computing, an emerging paradigm for distributed computing based on the use of services, is calling for the development of tools and techniques to build safe and trustworthy systems, and to analyse their behaviour. Therefore, many researchers have proposed to use process calculi, a cornerstone of current foundational research on specification and analysis of concurrent, reactive, and distributed systems. In this paper, we follow this approach and introduce CWS, a process calculus expressly designed for specifying and combining service-oriented applications, while modelling their dynamic behaviour. We show that CWS can model all the phases of the life cycle of service-oriented applications, such as publication, discovery, negotiation, orchestration, deployment, reconfiguration and execution. We illustrate the specification style that CWS supports by means of a large case study from the automotive domain and a number of more specific examples drawn from it
