Towards a methodology for the development of integrated IT infrastructures
In this paper, the authors propose and validate
a methodology for the development of integrated
Information Technology (IT) infrastructures. The
motivation for putting forward a new methodology is
grounded on the limitations of the various software
engineering methodologies (traditional) that exist
today. Despite that the traditional methodologies result
in the development of Information Systems (IS) from
scratch, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
builds integrated IT infrastructures using existing
applications. This significant difference is associated
with many issues needed to be realised and addressed
like: (a) the changes that such an infrastructure brings
to organisations, (b) the resistance to change and (c)
the extension of IS lifecycleâs. The proposed
methodology consist of eight stages and aims at
supporting software engineers, organisations and
researchers to build integrated IT infrastructures. As a
result the methodology seeks to contribute to the body
of knowledge

E-commerce and its impact in logistic management: A state of art
Logistics management is defined as that part of the supply chain process that plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption in order to meet customers' requirements. Traditional logistical issues may be amplified by an e-commerce venture. Adopting e-commerce may greatly expand the marketplace. The organization needs to be concerned with its ability to deliver its product to potential customers. Realizing the importance of E-commerce in logistic management, an attempt has been made in this paper to review the existing literature with the objective to gain insights into the impact of E-commerce in logistic management. The advantages of the E-commerce in logistic management are offered. Finally, summary of findings and calculations are presented
T-government for benefit realisation
This paper proposes a model for t-Government and highlights the research agenda needed to
increase understanding of transformational government and the processes involved in
furthering the agenda of the t-Government. In particular, both an operational and a conceptual
model for the effective involvement of citizens and businesses in government functioning
have been proposed. This will help to define an agenda for t-Government research that
emerges from national UK strategy and policy for e-Government. The main threads of t-
Government encompass: (1) A citizen-centric delivery of public services or e-inclusion, (2) A
shared services culture to maximize value added to clients, (3) The effective delivery and
management of resources and skills within government or professionalism. All three threads
should be addressed principally from the perspectives of delivery, evaluation and participation
in view of benefit realisation as envisioned by Government strategic planning and policy
directives (CabinetOffice, 2005). The management of change dimension of these phenomena
have been included in the research agenda. In particular, research is needed to reshape the
discourse towards emphasising a citizen centric approach that defines, develops, and benefits
from public service. Decision makers in Government will need models of Governance that
fulfil transformational objectives. They will also need models of benefits realisation within a
strategic Governance framework. It has been argued that t-Government research should be
addressing these relative voids

A study of using BPR and TQM in E-commerce
Nowadays using e-commerce by organizations is not optional but it is compulsive. Modern organizationsâ activities are affected by a set of factors. Identification and assessment of these factors can help to improve activities and realize the goals of organizations. Goals of the organizations are different, but generally reduction of cost, increase of volume and improvement of quality can be considered as the important goals of any organization, and in competitive terms, nowadays the organizations should pay special attention to productivity. Employing appropriate methods of management knowledge is one of the most important elements to create an appropriate condition in organization economy for development of manufacturing. The goal of this research is to study the usage of BPR and TQM in e-commerce to apply the results for making the status of e-commerce better. This research has been prepared by using library studies and internet resources. TQM usage in e-commerce has shown that, by using this management procedure, better quality and better management of information is possible, customer satisfaction is obtained and continuous development happens with minimum cost. Regarding BPR usage, the results has shown that business process re-engineering has a strong and longstanding approach to improve performance and useful innovation in the organization and technologies of e-commerce, Therefore, it is recommended to use these management methods to improve the process of e-commerce

An Integrated Service-Oriented Development Platform for Realization of e-Business Systems
Enterprises need to be responsive to meet dynamic businesses and requirements. Service-oriented architecture can improve e-Business applications in integration and flexibility. Therefore, service-oriented architecture has been envisioned as an appropriate computational paradigm for e-business applications. This paper proposes a multi-model driven collaborative development platform for building service-oriented e-Business systems. The platform supports service-oriented software engineering and application developments. It employs three views, i.e., business view, process view, and service view to support business and technical consultantsâ operations. Consultants can collaborate from distributed sites of, e.g., clients and IT vendors to provide their clientsâ with rapid system development and demonstration. The proposed platform is service-oriented and driven by three models, i.e., service meta-model, process model and business model. All of these three models are supported by a semantic reasoning engine to facilitate intelligent service discovery, process execution and business-business integration. A simple example has been used to demonstrate its functionality
BUSINESS INTELLIGENT AGENTS FOR ENTERPRISE APPLICATION
Fierce competition in a market increasingly crowded and frequent changes in consumer requirements are the main forces that will cause companies to change their current organization and management. One solution is to move to open architectures and virtual type, which requires addressing business methods and technologies using distributed multi-agent systems. Intelligent agents are one of the most important areas of artificial intelligence that deals with the development of hardware and software systems able to reason, learn to recognize natural language, speak, make decisions, to recognize objects in the working environment etc. Thus in this paper, we presented some aspects of smart business, intelligent agents, intelligent systems, intelligent systems models, and I especially emphasized their role in managing business processes, which have become highly complex systems that are in a permanent change to meet the requirements of timely decision making. The purpose of this paper is to prove that there is no business without using the integration Business Process Management, Web Services and intelligent agents.business intelligence, intelligent agents, intelligent systems, management, enterprise, web services
