Past research has challenged us with the task of showing relational patterns between text-based data and then clustering for predictive analysis using Golay Code technique. We focus on a novel approach to extract metaknowledge in multimedia datasets. Our collaboration has been an on-going task of studying the relational patterns between datapoints based on metafeatures extracted from metaknowledge in multimedia datasets. Those selected are significant to suit the mining technique we applied, Golay Code algorithm. In this research paper we summarize findings in optimization of metaknowledge representation for 23-bit representation of structured and unstructured multimedia data in order toComment: IEEE Multimedia Big Data (BigMM 2015

Knowledge discovery in databases (KDD) is the process of discovering positive information from a gathering of data. This generally used data mining technique is a process that includes data preparation and selection, data cleansing, incorporating prior information on data sets and interpreting perfect solutions from the observed results. Knowledge Discovery in Databases is the process of finding knowledge in huge amount of data where data mining is the core of this process. Data mining can be used to understandable meaningful patterns from huge databases and these patterns may be transformed into knowledge. Multimedia data mining can be defined as the process of finding motivating patterns from media data such as audio mining , video mining, image mining and text mining that are not generally available by basic queries and associated results. It is the mining of knowledge and high level multimedia information from large multimedia database system. Multimedia data mining refers to sample discovery, rule extraction and knowledge gaining from multimedia database. In this paper, An Overview On various Multimedia Data technique is given and the main focus is given to the video Data Mining. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.15035

Robust Face Recognition for Data Mining

While the technology for mining text documents in large databases could be said to be relatively mature, the same cannot be said for mining other important data types such as speech, music, images and video. Yet these forms of multimedia data are becoming increasingly prevalent on the internet and intranets as bandwidth rapidly increases due to continuing advances in computing hardware and consumer demand. An emerging major problem is the lack of accurate and efficient tools to query these multimedia data directly, so we are usually forced to rely on available metadata such as manual labeling. Currently the most effective way to label data to allow for searching of multimedia archives is for humans to physically review the material. This is already uneconomic or, in an increasing number of application areas, quite impossible because these data are being collected much faster than any group of humans could meaningfully label them - and the pace is accelerating, forming a veritable explosion of non-text data. Some driver applications are emerging from heightened security demands in the 21st century, postproduction of digital interactive television, and the recent deployment of a planetary sensor network overlaid on the internet backbone

SocialSensor: sensing user generated input for improved media discovery and experience

SocialSensor will develop a new framework for enabling real-time multimedia indexing and search in the Social Web. The project moves beyond conventional text-based indexing and retrieval models by mining and aggregating user inputs and content over multiple social networking sites. Social Indexing will incorporate information about the structure and activity of the users‟ social network directly into the multimedia analysis and search process. Furthermore, it will enhance the multimedia consumption experience by developing novel user-centric media visualization and browsing paradigms. For example, SocialSensor will analyse the dynamic and massive user contributions in order to extract unbiased trending topics and events and will use social connections for improved recommendations. To achieve its objectives, SocialSensor introduces the concept of Dynamic Social COntainers (DySCOs), a new layer of online multimedia content organisation with particular emphasis on the real-time, social and contextual nature of content and information consumption. Through the proposed DySCOs-centered media search, SocialSensor will integrate social content mining, search and intelligent presentation in a personalized, context and network-aware way, based on aggregation and indexing of both UGC and multimedia Web content

Decision level ensemble method for classifying multi-media data

In the digital era, the data, for a given analytical task, can be collected in different formats, such as text, images and audio etc. The data with multiple formats are called multimedia data. Integrating and fusing multimedia datasets has become a challenging task in machine learning and data mining. In this paper, we present heterogeneous ensemble method that combines multi-media datasets at the decision level. Our method consists of several components, including extracting the features from multimedia datasets that are not represented by features, modelling independently on each of multimedia datasets, selecting models based on their accuracy and diversity and building the ensemble at the decision level. Hence our method is called decision level ensemble method (DLEM). The method is tested on multimedia data and compared with other heterogeneous ensemble based methods. The results show that the DLEM outperformed these methods significantly

Artificial intelligence technologies are also actively applied to broadcasting and multimedia processing technologies. A lot of research has been conducted in a wide variety of fields, such as content creation, transmission, and security, and these attempts have been made in the past two to three years to improve image, video, speech, and other data compression efficiency in areas related to MPEG media processing technology. Additionally, technologies such as media creation, processing, editing, and creating scenarios are very important areas of research in multimedia processing and engineering. This book contains a collection of some topics broadly across advanced computational intelligence algorithms and technologies for emerging multimedia signal processing as: Computer vision field, speech/sound/text processing, and content analysis/information mining

Digital Image Processing through Hierarchical Clustering Methods, Tree Classifier of Data Mining

Digital image processing is one of the research areas for applicability of the data mining techniques. Clustering, k-nearest neighbor, decision tree classifier, neural networks are important techniques of mining that are useful for data analysis in most of the fields. Mining methods can works with the text, numbers, plus the multimedia like video and images also. The present paper target toward the analysis of the digital images stored in a system and this procedure includes many tasks say importing of the images for input, processing the images in that numeric values are computed for the given attributes of the input images, then performing mining operations to deduce the results. Due to advancement of mining tools this task is less time consuming and cost effective too moreover flexibility is provided to the user to select the desired method to get the different view of the outcomes

A Text Mining Model for Studying Minority Entrepreneurship

    Get PDF
Minority sub-cultures have a strong influence on the intention, value, business conduct and decision making by entrepreneurs. In the past, little emphasis was given to the study of minority entrepreneurs who share different values and ideas from those who belong to the mainstream culture. Most of the existing studies of minority entrepreneurship have very limited coverage of the minority groups and sectors. Furthermore, they are affected by the bias and inefficiency problems due to the use of traditional survey instruments. To address these problems, we propose a text mining framework to identify the characteristics of minority entrepreneurs from unstructured text and multimedia contents. The output from our framework can be used to gain better understanding of the characteristics of the minority entrepreneurs in entrepreneurship research. This research contributes to the body of knowledge of data analytics in entrepreneurship studies by showing how text mining techniques can be used to study minority entrepreneurs from unstructured data
