Due to the advancement of technology, the teaching and learning process are required to do some of the transformation persistence to the infrastructure available nowadays. The existence of e-learning has grown into a widely accepted learning model due to its flexibility, diversity, measurement, opening and so on ,most of the colleges and universities offer courses through distance education or in online format as well as use various teaching and learning models now. There is a growing trend of using similar models for lifelong learning (Zheng He, 2012). Cloud computing is one of the tools that are frequently preferred by academicians recently as one of the storage medium in their teaching process. The purpose of this research is to see in the helicopter view pretending to the employment of cloud computing among the academicians in UiTM Segamat. The objectives of this study are to discover the awareness of e-learning using cloud computing and to explore the effectiveness of e-learning using cloud computing. By using a quantitative research, a survey questionnaire was used as the instrument and Systematic Random Techniques as the Sampling Techniques. The researcher is able to collect 88 percent of the distributed questionnaires from the respondents. Findings show that the case study on cloud computing towards teaching and learning process among academicians in UiTM Segamat does exist. Thus, this study proposed changes in technology, training, top management support, awareness in using cloud computing and institution support in cloud computing as the recommendation to the organization

By 2010, cloud computing had become established as a new model of IT provisioning for service providers. New market players and businesses emerged, threatening the business models of established market players. This teaching case explores the challenges arising through the impact of the new cloud computing technology on an established, multinational IT service provider called ITSP. Should the incumbent vendors adopt cloud computing offerings? And, if so, what form should those offerings take? The teaching case focuses on the strategic dimensions of technological developments, their threats and opportunities. It requires strategic decision making and forecasting under high uncertainty. The critical question is whether cloud computing is a disruptive technology or simply an alternative channel to supply computing resources over the Internet. The case challenges students to assess this new technology and plan ITSP’s responses

Advances in cloud computing technology coupled with increasing volumes of data has driven the growth and differentiation of cloud-based solutions in teaching and learning. The cloud computing industry has matured over the past decade and the number of publications steadily rose, to build on the maturity of the field researchers investigating cloud computing research in the mobile teaching and learning domain need to be cognisant of the state of the art. The objective of this paper is to analyse the available literature in the field of cloud computing for mobile teaching and learning to identify the main categories of research, the prevalent methodologies and research gaps, and then integrate the findings in a conceptual framework representing the current state of the field in terms of research opportunities. A systematic mapping study on relevant publications in journals and conferences was conducted. Mapping studies are a suitable method for structuring a research field concerning research questions about contents, methods and trends in the available publications. A systematic literature review and mapping was used to select 107 articles from a total of 21 822 publications in five prominent databases, namely ACM, ERIC, IEEE, Google Scholar and Springer. The analysis was done in October 2017 on papers published between 2013 and 2017. The contribution is to classify existing work and suggest future opportunities based on a systematic mapping of mobile cloud computing (MCC) for teaching and learning research. The analysis provides an overview of the field in terms of what is researched, how that is researched and where the future research contributions may lie. The findings are integrated to present a non-prescriptive, conceptual framework on mobile cloud computing research for teaching and learning. Researchers can use the proposed framework as a point of reference in starting or aligning their own projects and establishing where future research opportunities exist.School of Computin

This study investigated the influence of ICT skills on use of cloud computing among undergraduates in selected private universities, South-West, Nigeria. Cloud computing is a novel means of providing access to diversities computer services via the Internet. Descriptive research design was employed and the population comprised 13,969 undergraduates in Babcock, Bowen and Covenant universities. Multi stage sampling technique was used, and data collection instrument was a structured questionnaire. Method of data analysis was simple percentages for research questions and regression analysis for the hypotheses. The study revealed that undergraduates possessed high level of ICT literacy skills and undergraduates used various cloud computing services and application. There was positive significant relationship between awareness and use of cloud computing (r=-.517**, n=533, p<.01.). Cloud computing is a novel technology that augment teaching and learning it also allows students to access instructional content and resources remotely. For student to effectively utilise and explore the benefit of cloud computing, the university management make available high bandwidth and dependable Private Power Plant (PPP) to increase use of cloud computing services

Cloud computing in the Educational sector has immensely enhanced academic performance in the developed nations and the professional contributions may benefit the education strategy of Nigeria particularly in transforming the traditional education model to computer based virtual applications with a focus on e-pedagogy. Cloud computing remains a paradox and open to academic debate with respect to business adoption of its utility, and studies depict that cloud computing to an extent is still at its early incubation in institutions of higher learning; that also affirms the infancy of cloud computing in academia, and this has caused the dearth of a unified definition and understanding of cloud computing. However, this study will develop academic definition and meaning of cloud computing with reference to institutional applications This study will also explore the benefits of cloud computing in learning, and focus on the development of relevant models for resource usage in higher education institutions. Author shows that successful adoption of cloud computing by various educational institutions in Nigeria depends on their transition strategies in terms of resource acquisition and deployment. These strategies could form barriers in delivering effective teaching learning, and assessment of instruments encountered through migrating to the cloud. Hence this study is geared towards bridging the gap between the usage of cloud computing in education and effective delivery of educational services via the \u27cloud\u27 in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Nigeria
