    A New No Equilibrium Fractional Order Chaotic System, Dynamical Investigation, Synchronization and Its Digital Implementation

    YesIn this paper, a new fractional order chaotic system without equilibrium is proposed, analyti-cally and numerically investigated, and numerically and experimentally tested. The analytical and numerical investigation were used to describe the system dynamical behaviors including, the system equilibria, the chaotic attractors, the bifurcation diagrams and the Lyapunov expo-nents. Based on the obtained dynamical behaviors, the system can excite hidden chaotic attrac-tors since it has no equilibrium. Then, a synchronization mechanism based on the adaptive con-trol theory has been developed between two identical new systems (master and slave). The adaptive control laws are derived based on synchronization error dynamics of the state varia-bles for the master and slave. Consequently, the update laws of the slave parameters are ob-tained, where the slave parameters are assumed to be uncertain and estimate corresponding to the master parameters by the synchronization process. Furthermore, Arduino Due boards were used to implement the proposed system in order to demonstrate its practicality in real-world applications. The simulation experimental results are obtained by MATLAB and the Arduino Due boards respectively, where a good consistent between the simulation results and the ex-perimental results. indicating that the new fractional order chaotic system is capable of being employed in real-world applications

    Stabilization of Port Hamiltonian Chaotic Systems with Hidden Attractors by Adaptive Terminal Sliding Mode Control

    In this study, the design of an adaptive terminal sliding mode controller for the stabilization of port Hamiltonian chaotic systems with hidden attractors is proposed. This study begins with the design methodology of a chaotic oscillator with a hidden attractor implementing the topological framework for its respective design. With this technique it is possible to design a 2-D chaotic oscillator, which is then converted into port-Hamiltonia to track and analyze these models for the stabilization of the hidden chaotic attractors created by this analysis. Adaptive terminal sliding mode controllers (ATSMC) are built when a Hamiltonian system has a chaotic behavior and a hidden attractor is detected. A Lyapunov approach is used to formulate the adaptive device controller by creating a control law and the adaptive law, which are used online to make the system states stable while at the same time suppressing its chaotic behavior. The empirical tests obtaining the discussion and conclusions of this thesis should verify the theoretical findings

    From Preface: This is the fourteenth time when the conference “Dynamical Systems: Theory and Applications” gathers a numerous group of outstanding scientists and engineers, who deal with widely understood problems of theoretical and applied dynamics. Organization of the conference would not have been possible without a great effort of the staff of the Department of Automation, Biomechanics and Mechatronics. The patronage over the conference has been taken by the Committee of Mechanics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland. It is a great pleasure that our invitation has been accepted by recording in the history of our conference number of people, including good colleagues and friends as well as a large group of researchers and scientists, who decided to participate in the conference for the first time. With proud and satisfaction we welcomed over 180 persons from 31 countries all over the world. They decided to share the results of their research and many years experiences in a discipline of dynamical systems by submitting many very interesting papers. This year, the DSTA Conference Proceedings were split into three volumes entitled “Dynamical Systems” with respective subtitles: Vibration, Control and Stability of Dynamical Systems; Mathematical and Numerical Aspects of Dynamical System Analysis and Engineering Dynamics and Life Sciences. Additionally, there will be also published two volumes of Springer Proceedings in Mathematics and Statistics entitled “Dynamical Systems in Theoretical Perspective” and “Dynamical Systems in Applications”

    Taming Chaotic Circuits

    Control algorithms that exploit chaotic behavior can vastly improve the performance of many practical and useful systems. The program Perfect Moment is built around a collection of such techniques. It autonomously explores a dynamical system's behavior, using rules embodying theorems and definitions from nonlinear dynamics to zero in on interesting and useful parameter ranges and state-space regions. It then constructs a reference trajectory based on that information and causes the system to follow it. This program and its results are illustrated with several examples, among them the phase-locked loop, where sections of chaotic attractors are used to increase the capture range of the circuit
