    Social media as political party campaign in Indonesia

    Social media as a trend in the Internet is now used as a medium for political campaigns. Author explores the advantages and social media implementation of any political party in Indonesia legislative elections 2014. Author visited and analyzed social media used by the contestants, such as: Facebook, and Twitter. Author collected data from social media until the end of April 2014. This article discusses the use of social media by political parties and their features. The results of this study indicate that social media are: 1) effective tool for current and future political campaigns, 2) reach the voters and supporters instantly, 3) used by Political parties to show their logo/icon, and 4) last but not least quick count results also show that political parties which using social media as part of their campaigns won the legislative elections.Comment: 10 page

    IT offers some benefits and collaborations in various sectors. This research focuses on exploring higher education subjects via social technology, YouTube. YouTube is the world largest video based contents application in the world. Current learning materials are not only in text and images, but included video contents. This research enriching students learning materials may involving YouTube as learning sources. The study observed 118 sophomore students in computer science faculty. The results show that, involving YouTube in enriching students course material able to create conductive learning environment.     This article is an evaluation to campaign rules of regional election 2020 during Pandemic Covid-19 which are many violations of health protocol. Two question will be answered are: 1) how is the legal basis of campaign regional election 2020 during pandemic? 2) how the campaign can be more effective for candidates and save for people during Pandemic Covid-19? Results are: 1) design of campaign method as limited meetings, face to face, and dialog during Pandemic Covid-19 based on article 65 Law No.10 Years 2016 and adopted from “Pedoman Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19)” by Minister of health those forbid the crowd and limited social interactions. 2).campaign method as limited meetings, face to face and dialog during pandemic Covid-19 prioritize people save by implement health protocol, give chance to candidate and voters to direct interact, increase the number of campaign participants as limited meetings, face to face, and dialog also allow campaign advertising in mass media and social media

    Social media, especially Twitter, as one of the most widely used platforms on the internet, is now being used by political organizations to convey their political communication messages. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing the communication style conveyed by the Gerindra party Twitter account to its followers. In looking for references, researchers use a systematic review method wherein the authors must describe the search to be used, determine where and when they should search, and what terms they should use. The results of this study indicate that the style of political communication conveyed by the Gerindra Twitter account has the aim of being accepted by Twitter users, whose users are young people. Unlike the political communication messages conveyed during the 2014 & 2019 elections, the Gerindra Twitter account conveys its political communication style in a relaxed and informative way. The relevance of the information diffusion theory in this study is when the Gerindra party takes advantage of the great opportunity of Twitter as a social media to communicate its political campaigns so that new voters can accept it in the future

    Hubungan antara Media Sosial terhadap Peluang Kemenangan Pasangan Calon Gubernur DKI Jakarta pada Pilkada 2017 (Studi Wilayah Jakarta Utara)

    The study aims to determine the relations between social media to the chances of winning the candidate pairs of governors of DKI Jakarta in the first round election 2017 in North Jakarta Region. As a research frame, author use New Public Sphere theory by Karssen Mossberger. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative. The research instrument is a questionnaire which distributed to 400 respondents with a MoE of 5%. Determination of respondents using Multi-Stage Random Sampling technique. Based on the research, the author founds are: 85% of people in North Jakarta have social media and 335 respondents agree that social media can influence the chances of victory of candidate pair of governor of DKI Jakarta in elections 2017. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that social media can positively influence on the chance of winning the candidate pair of governor of DKI Jakarta in the 2017 election.   Keywords: Governor, New Public Sphere, Social Medi
