The advancement in banking transaction system over the years has been enormous and the needs for identifications of customer s authentication validation and confirmation are of utmost priority and should be dealt with judiciously Mobile banking has emerged as one of the main division in digital world of financial transactions and consists of information inquiry notifications and alerts applications and payment transfer Mobile based application is used for connecting customer handset with bank server for all such services in the banking industry The current trend of Mobile banking as gone beyond the use of One Time Password OTP applications used by banks The problem with current banking applications is that they send data directly to customer in plain text form compromising with security recognised as OTP in most of the online transaction An online banking customer logging in to the bank s website with username and password triggers a request to send an OTP to his or her registered mobile phone or the OTP may not be necessary after one or two transaction There is every likely hold of Mobile phone been stealing access by unauthorised person or being hacked Upon receipt of a text message with the OTP the customer enters it with an additional field on the banking site s login page to complete the login process since your details are already on your phone It could have been fine if the mobile network can act immediately but blocking of network provider involves the presentation of National Identification Number NIN which is a chain reaction The purpose of this research work is to provide cost effective secure fast Mobile banking solution combining features of cryptography as well as behavioural pattern and Interactive Voice Response for final authentication and authorisation of costumer identification in all form of financial transaction

A prototype mobile money implementation in Nigeria

Researchers have shown that majority of the populace in the developing nations are rural dwellers that do not have access to basic financial services and are poor. This class of people are peasant farmers and petty traders who rely mostly on remittances from their wards and relations in major cities and abroad to meet their financial obligations at home. The methods of remittances are encumbered with challenges. Mobile money is a tool that allows individuals to make financial transactions using mobile cell phones. Nigeria is one of the fastest growing telecoms nations of the world and the adoption of mobile money will help a great deal to solve the problems associated with remittances. In this paper, we present a short messages services (SMS) and unstructured supplementary service data (USSD) implementation of mobile money implementation in Nigeria modelled using Django and Python as the programming language, MySQL as the data store and Apache hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) as the Web server. The system made comparative analysis with M-PESA implementation in Kenya: the first mobile money implantation in Africa. Furthermore, the system was tested among a selected few of the populace to evaluate the usability of the design. Findings revealed that the prototype implementation is user-friendly and can be used by all without many problems except for the illiterate populace; hence, the need to have a combined bank and agent-based implementation. This approach will help with time to reduce the number of unbanked populace, which is currently at 80%

The major barriers for the success of mobile data services are the lack of comprehensible mobile service architectures, their confusing business models and the complexity combined with the inconsistency of the technology enablers. This paper attempts to present a more structured and comprehensive analysis of the current mobile service architectures and their technology enablers. The paper starts with a thorough study of the evolution of mobile services and their business models, and a collection of expectations of the different actors, including the end-user. Next, starting from the original mobile services architecture and environment, an attempt to place the different technology enablers in relation to each other and in relation to their position in the mobile system, will be carried out. Each technology enabler together with their contribution in the enhancement of mobile services are then summarised in a complete and comprehensive way. The paper concludes with a recapitulation of the achievement of the state-of-the-art technology enablers and an identification of future improvements

In this paper the authors describe the design, prototyping and evaluation of SIMpliLife, a framework for mobile phones with the aim of making people’s life easier, providing day-to-day services such as payment, ticketing and information retrieval by means of NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. It was developed via the collaboration between two research labs of Sapienza University of Rome: the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Lab and the Usability and Accessibility Lab (LUA), both belonging to CATTID (Centre for Applications of Teleservices and of Technologies for Innovation in Digital world) research centre. Technically, SIMpliLife is a SIM-based platform for NFC mobile phones that interfaces several applications able to manage the abovementioned services. The high-level User Interface has been developed by means of Smart Card Web Server (SCWS) technology, thus providing enhanced user experience if compared to traditional SIM-based implementations based on SIM Toolkit

Providing good services and satisfaction to customer is main concern on online business. As technology is developed rapidly, many online restaurants has sought user-friendly platform to serve their customer. The purpose of this research is to build an Android-based online order application for online delivery restaurant. We added features of outlets distribution and product promos. We also developed a more user-friendly interface as new design. Through Waterfall development method, we design the application which based of android APP Inventor framework. Based on the assessment result of four aspect (e.g., software engineering defect, learning design, visual communication), we got average scores of 2.45, 3.40, 3.35 and 3.07. The assessment results showed that our application design is eligible to be implemented for real situation with fairly eligible score. It is recommended that the application is implemented with partial improvement especially on the software engineering debugging to get a more decent score
