The rapid development of e-commerce has a profound impact on agricultural supply chain finance (ASCF), which is of great significance to enhance the resilience of agricultural economic development, realize the poverty alleviation effect of agricultural enterprises, integrate agricultural supply chain resources and solve the financing difficulties of agricultural enterprises. We analyze the participants and functions of the ASCF mode based on e-commerce, and the contract framework of various participants when they operate in the ASCF platform in this paper. Based on the agricultural industry chain, we analyze the operation process of accounts receivable financing mode, inventory financing mode and prepayment financing mode based on E-commerce. Finally, in view of the natural risks, credit risks, logistics risks, technical risks and legal risks that may exist in ASCF based on e-commerce, the corresponding countermeasures are put forward from the aspects of dispersing natural risks, building digital credit risk assessment system, building agricultural logistics network system, improving technical risk monitoring system, and improving relevant laws and regulations policy recommendations

Today’s trend of online shopping proves the vital role e-commerce plays in our daily life. Online transactions require reliable networks, and reliable networks depend on secure information technology. These networks have many advantages, but they have disadvantages as well—notably, the need for risk management. The growing importance of e-commerce, with its associated need to ensure trust in online transactions, has led the authors to study and propose risk management in e-commerce from a holistic perspective, thus enabling the implementation of real-time auditing of e-commerce transactions using the digital agents’ technology. In this paper, the authors discuss e-commerce’s risks and present a methodology that can be used to manage those risks. It concludes that e-commerce risks are a high priority for online businesses, and that many of the requisite controls are extensions of controls for managing risk in other information systems

Addressing the cyber safety challenge: from risk to resilience describes the cyber safety issues emerging from a range of technology trends, how different populations are using technologies and the risks they face, and how we can effectively respond to each group’s unique cyber safety needs. Written by the University of Western Sydney for Telstra Corporation Ltd, the report advocates for continuing to move cyber safety from a ‘risk and protection’ framework to one that focuses on building digital resilience, as well as fostering trust and confidence in the online environment. To do this we need to: Address the needs of populations often neglected by current policies and programs – including adults, seniors, parents, and small to medium enterprises Continue to build the digital literacy skills of all populations, because digital literacy strongly influences users’ ability to engage safely online – this is best achieved by a hands-on learning approach Keep risk in perspective – the risks and benefits of digital participation go hand in hand Broaden the focus from awareness-raising to long-term behaviour change. As digital technologies become further integrated into the everyday lives of Australians, users are potentially exposed to greater risks. However, the risks and benefits of digital participation go hand in hand. The challenge, therefore, is to support users to minimise the risks without limiting their digital participation and their capacity to derive the full benefits of connectivity. If Australians are to benefit as either consumers or providers of online services and products in the e-commerce environment, consumer safety and trust need to be improved. Cyber safety needs to be considered against a transforming backdrop of technology trends, products and practices. While the rise of social media has tended to dominate recent debate and developments in cyber safety, particularly in relation to young people, a range of other trends is also shaping how users engage online, the risks they potentially face in the new media landscape, and the strategies used to address them. These trends include the rise of user generated content and content sharing platforms; the uptake of mobile technologies and, in particular, the adoption of smartphones; cloud computing; platform integration and single sign-on mechanisms; and the rise of GPS and location based services

. In today's rapidly evolving digital era, e-commerce has emerged as a cornerstone of global trade. However, the proliferation of online fraud incidents has given rise to significant ethical concerns. This study delves into the ethical ramifications of online fraud profiles and tactics within the cybercrime domain, particularly their impact on the e-commerce ecosystem. Ethical considerations play a pivotal role in shaping behavior within e-commerce, safeguarding consumers, and guiding the formulation of effective policies by both e-commerce entities and governments. This research scrutinizes the phenomenon of online fraud in e-commerce transactions through a survey involving two respondent groups: Information Systems students at ITS and students from other departments. The survey results reveal that online fraud inflicts substantial emotional distress on victims, including feelings of panic, anger, and sadness. Financial losses and the potential exposure of sensitive data are prevalent repercussions of online fraud, eroding consumer trust and prompting questions about the ethical conduct of fraudsters. To address these issues, recommendations encompass heightened awareness of online fraud risks, increased transparency among e-commerce sellers, streamlining fraud reporting procedures, and a commitment to upholding higher standards of business ethics. The overarching objective is to foster a more ethical, secure, and sustainable e-commerce environment. In summary, this research offers comprehensive insights into how respondents perceive and experience online fraud in Indonesian e-commerce transactions, providing valuable guidance for more effective mitigation

Users of digital self-tracking devices increasingly benefit from multiple services related to their self-tracking data. Vice versa, new digital as well as “offline” service providers, such as health insurance companies, depend on the users’ willingness to disclose personal data to be able to offer new services. Whereas previous research mostly investigated the willingness to disclose data in the context of social media, e-commerce and smartphone apps, the aim of our research is to analyze the influence of the privacy calculus of personal risks and benefits on the willingness to disclose highly personal and confidential self-tracking data to health insurance companies. To do so, we develop a conceptual model based on the privacy calculus concept and validate it with a sample of 103 respondents in a scenario-based experiment using structural equation modeling. Our results reveal that privacy risks always have a negative impact on the willingness to disclose personal data, while positive effects of privacy benefits are partly depending on the data sensitivity

    Get PDF
Ten years after the fall of Napster, digital piracy remains an issue for e-commerce firms. While scholars treat digital piracy as a behaviour that needs to be prevented or punished, the user’s decision about how to acquire a digital product involves more than the piracy option, yet the decision between piracy and legal alternatives has received limited attention. Moreover, existing models of piracy emphasize some elements of the acquisition decision, but disregard other important influences. This paper presents a model of digital product acquisition in the context of piracy, integrating elements of previous digital piracy models and expanding upon them to reflect the decision’s complexity. We depict the acquisition decision as being influenced by the user’s price perceptions, perceived risks, product desire, skills, and internal regulators of behaviour. A preliminary and partial test of the model is conducted for film and music using data collected students in at two Danish universities. The paper concludes with an outline for future research
