Meter probes incorporating integral fuse holder which contains limitation fuse of 600 V, 5A, with interruption rating of 50,000 KVA. provide required protection and minimize danger incurred by defective or improperly operated meter

SPAN C - Terminal sterilization process analysis program

    Get PDF
Computer program, SPAN-C, measures the dry heat thermal sterilization process applied to a planetary capsule and calculates the time required for heat application, steady state conditions, and cooling. The program is based on the logarithmic survival of micro-organisms. Temperature profiles must be input on cards

A scalable algorithm for the market basket analysis

    Get PDF
The market basket is defined as an itemset bought together by a customer on a single visit to a store. The market basket analysis is a powerful tool for the implementation of cross-selling strategies. Especially in retailing it is essential to discover large baskets, since it deals with thousands of items. Although some algorithms can find large itemsets, they can be inefficient in terms of computational time. The aim of this paper is to present an algorithm to discover large itemset patterns for the market basket analysis. In this approach, the condensed data is used and is obtained by transforming the market basket problem into a maximum-weighted clique problem. Firstly, the input dataset is transformed into a graph-based structure and then the maximum-weighted clique problem is solved using a meta-heuristic approach in order to find the most frequent itemsets. The computational results show large itemset patterns with good scalability properties

    Explosive bonding of metal-matrix composites

    Get PDF
Explosive bonding process produces sheet composites of aluminum alloy reinforced by high-strength stainless steel wires. The bonds are excellent metallurgically, no external heat is required, various metals can be bonded, and the process is inexpensive

Search For Companions Of Nearby Isolated Galaxies

The radial velocities are measured for 45 galaxies located in the neighborhoods of 29 likely isolated galaxies in a new catalog. We find that about 85% of these galaxies actually are well isolated objects. 4% of nearby galaxies with V_LG<3500 km/s are this kind of cosmic "orphan".Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure

Structured Metadata for Direct Resource Location: A Case Study

    Get PDF
This paper proposes that for scientific and technical information resources, a well-structured and high-quality metadata record contains enough information to find that resource on the Internet, and as a consequence, no additional human labour is needed to create or maintain any links. Research was performed by creating a control group of records from the Online Catalogue of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and searching them in various ways in Google and Metacrawler. Based on results, this method was revised and used on the larger AGRIS database. Results showed not only that the method is successful; it is also highly useful for searching citations. A user interface is suggested, and changes to current cataloguing rules are discussed
