Long duration gamma-ray bursts: hydrodynamic instabilities in collapsar disks

We present 3D numerical simulations of the early evolution of long-duration gamma-ray bursts in the collapsar scenario. Starting from the core-collapse of a realistic progenitor model, we follow the formation and evolution of a central black hole and centrifugally balanced disk. The dense, hot accretion disk produces freely-escaping neutrinos and is hydrodynamically unstable to clumping and to forming non-axisymmetric (m=1, 2) modes. We show that these spiral structures, which form on dynamical timescales, can efficiently transfer angular momentum outward and can drive the high required accretion rates (>=0.1-1 M_sun) for producing a jet. We utilise the smoothed particle hydrodynamics code, Gadget-2, modified to implement relevant microphysics, such as cooling by neutrinos, a plausible treatment approximating the central object and relativistic effects. Finally, we discuss implications of this scenario as a source of energy to produce relativistically beamed gamma-ray jets.Comment: accepted by MNRAS; 32 pages, 46 figure

Costumer Explicit Consent Under Indonesian Open Banking Regulations

The implementation of GDPR and PSD2 in the EU as well as the PSD2 alignment with GDPR, encourage central banks in various countries including Indonesia to immediately implement an open banking system that also prioritizes privacy data protection. The PDP bill principle of explicit consent must be applied in open banking financial transactions that in Indonesia as stated in the National Standard Open API Payment (SNAP) 2021 (a Technical Standards and Governance Guideline). However, there are some fundamental differences regulated in PSD2 when compared to SNAP which will hinder Indonesia's adequate GDPR. This research is normative research with statutory approach and comparative approach. The results showed that there are some fundamental differences between PSD2 and SNAP, including the parties involved, data portability and the concept of re-consent or re-confirmation which are not regulated in SNAP but regulated in PSD2, for the concept of sensitive data payment, neither SNAP nor PSD2 provide the specific concept, both define it broadly

Surfaces roughness effects on the transmission of Gaussian beams by anisotropic parallel plates

Influence of the plate surfaces roughness in precise ellipsometry experiments is studied. The realistic case of a Gaussian laser beam crossing a uniaxial platelet is considered. Expression for the transmittance is determined using the first order perturbation theory. In this frame, it is shown that interference takes place between the specular transmitted beam and the scattered field. This effect is due to the angular distribution of the Gaussian beam and is of first order in the roughness over wavelength ratio. As an application, a numerical simulation of the effects of quartz roughness surfaces at normal incidence is provided. The interference term is found to be strongly connected to the random nature of the surface roughness.Comment: 18 pages, Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, volume 36, issue 21, pages 2697 - 270

Strong Customer Authentication : Security Issues and Solution Evaluation

In October 2015 PSD2 first adopted by the European Parliament to initiate a new method of payment system. Since then, it receives several amendment time to time. Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), one of the major requirements of PSD2 came into force from September 2019. However, European Banking Authority EBA found it is challenging to comply with this requirement fully, before the given deadline. Technical implementation challenge, complex payment systems across EU, bring-in all related actors under SCA needs to be resolved with profound solution to achieve the PSD2 success. Moreover, contradictory terms of the PSD2 with GDPR and inadequate protection for the user’s privacy prevails account access issues that can be circumvented by the payment service providers. This article investigated the pros and cons of the PSD2, finds feasible solutions for SCA that seamlessly involves all actors in payment system. Despite the fact of technical implementation details, a leading PSP’s SCA compliant solution integrated into an e-invoicing system as an specimen of an SCA compliant model. The model showcases the SCA conformity then test and verifies security of data and privacy of the user
