Well posedness of a linearized fractional derivative fluid model
The one-dimensional fractional derivative Maxwell model (e.g. Palade et al.
Rheol. Acta 35, 265, 1996), of importance in modeling the linear viscoelastic
response in the glass transition region, has been generalized in Palade et al.
Int. J. Non-Linear Mech. 37, 315, 1999, to objective three-dimensional
constitutive equations (CEs) for both fluids and solids. Regarding the rest
state stability of the fluid CE, in Heibig and Palade J. Math. Phys. 49,
043101, 2008, we gave a proof for the existence of weak solutions to the
corresponding boundary value problem. The aim of this work is to achieve the
study of the existence and uniqueness of the aforementioned solutions and to
present smoothness results

estruturais.

Although, their use in a correctly way requires knowledge of its behavior as well of a mathematical model that describes them accurately. A very important mechanical
property involving this type of material is the relaxation modulus function which,
according to experiments, shows dependence of time, temperature and pressure.
This work deals with the development of a methodology to identify the mechanical
behavior of VEMs in time domain, described through the generalized Maxwell model (Prony series) and considering the influence of temperature, pressure and
temperature and pressure simultaneously. Therefore, it starts up from a set of
experimental results obtained by uniaxial traction, considering various strain rates at different test temperatures. Through Wiechert's material model and other models
which include dependence of temperature and pressure, the characteristic
parameters of the material behavior are obtained by optimization techniques.
Specifically, it is used a hybrid optimization technique based on the initial application of genetic algorithms, in order to approximate the minimum global point followed by a nonlinear programming to better approximate the global optimum point. The identification methodology is implemented on MatLab® and the results are promising, modeling appropriately the behavior of the employed the VEM, with low computational costs.
