Selection of Conductive Composite Through Weighed Normalized Fuzzy Method in Order to be used in Electrostatics Filters Absorbing Plates

    Get PDF
In this paper, due to some problems deriving from using multiple inputs in fuzzy logic procedure, a simpler high demanding method, which can eliminate some complicated fuzzy membership functions trends is represented. This method is so-called weighed normalized fuzzy method. Despite simple calculations used in the method and user capability to use fuzzy membership functions, ranking utilized in this method is as authentic as other conventional fuzzy logic procedures. Regarding suitable properties of composites which can solve problems happening due to intrinsic characteristic of materials used in electrostatic precipitators, in this investigation wide spectrum of resins and fibres used in manufacturing conductive composites is studied. In addition, some of them are selected through material selection methods with regard to their attributes and high conductivity property, which is suitable for absorbing plates. Selecting best conductive composites among considered conductive composites through this novel method is the final aim of this paper. The results show that vinyl ester, which belongs to Vinyl Ester Resin Woven Carbon and Glass (VRWCG) series, has the most beneficial specification in comparison with other thermoset resins for this intended application. Moreover, vinyl ester resins show better stability in acidic electro filter media

AHP-TOPSIS integration extended with Pythagorean fuzzy sets for information security risk analysis

    Get PDF
Risk analysis (RA) contains several methodologies that object to ensure the protection and safety of occupational stakeholders. Multi attribute decision-making (MADM) is one of the most important RA methodologies that is applied to several areas from manufacturing to information technology. With the widespread use of computer networks and the Internet, information security has become very important. Information security is vital as institutions are mostly dependent on information, technology, and systems. This requires a comprehensive and effective implementation of information security RA. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) are commonly used MADM methods and recently used for RA. In this study, a new RA methodology is proposed based on AHP-TOPSIS integration extended with Pythagorean fuzzy sets. AHP strengthened by interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy numbers is used to weigh risk parameters with expert judgment. Then, TOPSIS with Pythagorean fuzzy numbers is used to prioritize previously identified risks. A comparison of the proposed approach with three approaches (classical RA method, Pythagorean fuzzy VIKOR and Pythagorean fuzzy MOORA) is also provided. To illustrate the feasibility and practicality of the proposed approach, a case study for information security RA in corrugated cardboard sector is executed. No sponso

Prioritization of public services for digitalization using fuzzy Z-AHP and fuzzy Z-WASPAS

    Get PDF
In this paper, public services are analyzed for implementations of Industry 4.0 tools to satisfy citizen expectations. To be able to prioritize public services for digitalization, fuzzy Z-AHP and fuzzy Z-WASPAS are used in the analysis. The decision criteria are determined as reduced cost, fast response, ease of accessibility, reduced service times, increase in the available information and increased quality. After obtaining criteria weights using fuzzy Z-AHP, health care services, waste disposal department, public transportation, information services, social care services, and citizen complaints resolution centers are compared using fuzzy Z-WASPAS that is proposed for the first time in this paper. Results show that health care services have dominant importance for the digitalization among public services.WOS:000604482500002Science Citation Index ExpandedQ2Article; Early AccessUluslararası işbirliği ile yapılmayan - HAYIROcak2021YÖK - 2020-2

A weighted rough set based fuzzy axiomatic design approach for the selection of AM processes

    Get PDF
Additive manufacturing (AM) or 3D printing, as an enabling technology for mass customization or personalization, has been developed rapidly in recent years. Various design tools, materials, machines and service bureaus can be found in the market. Clearly, the choices are abundant, but users can be easily confused as to which AM process they should use. This paper first reviews the existing multi-attribute decision-making methods for AM process selection and assesses their suitability with regard to two aspects, preference rating flexibility and performance evaluation objectivity. We propose that an approach that is capable of handling incomplete attribute information and objective assessment within inherent data has advantages over other approaches. Based on this proposition, this paper proposes a weighted preference graph method for personalized preference evaluation and a rough set based fuzzy axiomatic design approach for performance evaluation and the selection of appropriate AM processes. An example based on the previous research work of AM machine selection is given to validate its robustness for the priori articulation of AM process selection decision support

AN EXTENDED SINGLE-VALUED NEUTROSOPHIC AHP AND MULTIMOORA METHOD TO EVALUATE THE OPTIMAL TRAINING AIRCRAFT FOR FLIGHT TRAINING ORGANIZATIONS

    Get PDF
Aircraft’s training is crucial for a flight training organization (FTO). Therefore, an important decision that these organizations should wisely consider the choice of aircraft to be bought among many alternatives. The criteria for evaluating the optimal training aircraft for FTOs are collected based on the survey approach. Single valued neutrosophic sets (SVNS) have the degree of truth, indeterminacy, and falsity membership functions and, as a special case, neutrosophic sets (NS) deal with inconsistent environments. In this regard, this study has extended a single-valued neutrosophic analytic hierarchy process (AHP) based on multi-objective optimization on the basis of ratio analysis plus a full multiplicative form (MULTIMOORA) to rank the training aircraft as the alternatives. Moreover, a sensitivity analysis is performed to demonstrate the stability of the developed method. Finally, a comparison between the results of the developed approach and the existing approaches for validating the developed approach is discussed. This analysis shows that the proposed approach is efficient and with the other methods
