A Secured Technique for Transmission of an image/ video Via Mosaic image/video Creation.
A new secured image/video transmission technique is proposed in paper. Here video is considered as a sequence of frames. The secret image is automatically transformed into a secret-fragment visible mosaic image. This image looks similar to a randomly selected target image. The target image is used to cover or hide the secret image. Also relevant information for reconstructing the secret image is embedded on the mosaic image by a loss less data hiding scheme using a key. The secret image is divided into cells and the color characteristics of each cell are transformed to that of the divided target blocks. In order to reconstruct the secret image losslessly skilful techniques are designed to conduct the color transformation process. Good experimental results and high signal to noise ratio shows the feasibility of the new technique for both image and video
Emerging Applications of Reversible Data Hiding
Reversible data hiding (RDH) is one special type of information hiding, by
which the host sequence as well as the embedded data can be both restored from
the marked sequence without loss. Beside media annotation and integrity
authentication, recently some scholars begin to apply RDH in many other fields
innovatively. In this paper, we summarize these emerging applications,
including steganography, adversarial example, visual transformation, image
processing, and give out the general frameworks to make these operations
reversible. As far as we are concerned, this is the first paper to summarize

A Review on Image mosaicing for secure Transmission of University Exam Question Paper
The rapid spread of the digital world nowadays which is powered by ever faster system demands greater speed and security. Real time to secure an image is a challenging task due to the processing time and computational requirement for RGB image. So, to cope with these concerns, many innovative techniques of image processing for data hiding are required. In this paper new data hiding scheme is proposed which is known as image mosaicing. Image mosaicing is the process of merging split images to produce a single and complete image of the document. For this technique two input images are required one is secret image and second is target image, by merging these two a new image is made called as a mosaic image. So, the creation of mosaic image and lossless recovery of secret input image for question paper security is presented in this paper
Synthetic steganography: Methods for generating and detecting covert channels in generated media
Issues of privacy in communication are becoming increasingly important. For many people and businesses, the use of strong cryptographic protocols is sufficient to protect their communications. However, the overt use of strong cryptography may be prohibited or individual entities may be prohibited from communicating directly. In these cases, a secure alternative to the overt use of strong cryptography is required. One promising alternative is to hide the use of cryptography by transforming ciphertext into innocuous-seeming messages to be transmitted in the clear. ^ In this dissertation, we consider the problem of synthetic steganography: generating and detecting covert channels in generated media. We start by demonstrating how to generate synthetic time series data that not only mimic an authentic source of the data, but also hide data at any of several different locations in the reversible generation process. We then design a steganographic context-sensitive tiling system capable of hiding secret data in a variety of procedurally-generated multimedia objects. Next, we show how to securely hide data in the structure of a Huffman tree without affecting the length of the codes. Next, we present a method for hiding data in Sudoku puzzles, both in the solved board and the clue configuration. Finally, we present a general framework for exploiting steganographic capacity in structured interactions like online multiplayer games, network protocols, auctions, and negotiations. Recognizing that structured interactions represent a vast field of novel media for steganography, we also design and implement an open-source extensible software testbed for analyzing steganographic interactions and use it to measure the steganographic capacity of several classic games. ^ We analyze the steganographic capacity and security of each method that we present and show that existing steganalysis techniques cannot accurately detect the usage of the covert channels. We develop targeted steganalysis techniques which improve detection accuracy and then use the insights gained from those methods to improve the security of the steganographic systems. We find that secure synthetic steganography, and accurate steganalysis thereof, depends on having access to an accurate model of the cover media
Recent Advances in Signal Processing
The signal processing task is a very critical issue in the majority of new technological inventions and challenges in a variety of applications in both science and engineering fields. Classical signal processing techniques have largely worked with mathematical models that are linear, local, stationary, and Gaussian. They have always favored closed-form tractability over real-world accuracy. These constraints were imposed by the lack of powerful computing tools. During the last few decades, signal processing theories, developments, and applications have matured rapidly and now include tools from many areas of mathematics, computer science, physics, and engineering. This book is targeted primarily toward both students and researchers who want to be exposed to a wide variety of signal processing techniques and algorithms. It includes 27 chapters that can be categorized into five different areas depending on the application at hand. These five categories are ordered to address image processing, speech processing, communication systems, time-series analysis, and educational packages respectively. The book has the advantage of providing a collection of applications that are completely independent and self-contained; thus, the interested reader can choose any chapter and skip to another without losing continuity

The Cultural Contradictions of Cryptography
This dissertation examines the origins of political and scientific commitments that currently frame cryptography, the study of secret codes, arguing that these commitments took shape over the course of the twentieth century. Looking back to the nineteenth century, cryptography was rarely practiced systematically, let alone scientifically, nor was it the contentious political subject it has become in the digital age. Beginning with the rise of computational cryptography in the first half of the twentieth century, this history identifies a quarter-century gap beginning in the late 1940s, when cryptography research was classified and tightly controlled in the US. Observing the reemergence of open research in cryptography in the early 1970s, a course of events that was directly opposed by many members of the US intelligence community, a wave of political scandals unrelated to cryptography during the Nixon years also made the secrecy surrounding cryptography appear untenable, weakening the official capacity to enforce this classification. Today, the subject of cryptography remains highly political and adversarial, with many proponents gripped by the conviction that widespread access to strong cryptography is necessary for a free society in the digital age, while opponents contend that strong cryptography in fact presents a danger to society and the rule of law. I argue that cryptography would not have become invested with these deep political commitments if it had not been suppressed in research and the media during the postwar years. The greater the force exerted to dissuade writers and scientists from studying cryptography, the more the subject became wrapped in an aura of civil disobedience and public need. These positive political investments in cryptography have since become widely accepted among many civil libertarians, transparency activists, journalists, and computer scientists who treat cryptography as an essential instrument for maintaining a free and open society in the digital age. Likewise, even as opponents of widespread access to strong cryptography have conceded considerable ground in recent decades, their opposition is grounded in many of the same principles that defined their stance during cryptography’s public reemergence in the 1970s.
