Unemployment, Labour Market Programmes and Wage Determination: Evidence from the Czech and Slovak Republics

This paper studies effects of unemployment and labour market programmes on real wages in the Czech and Slovak Republics using district paneldata for the period 1992-1998. Clear evidence of a "wage curve" exists in both countries. The estimated unemployment elasticity of pay is, however, higher in the Slovak Republic, than in the Czech Republic. The wage subsidy and the public works programme exert upward pressure on real wages in Slovakia. When accounting for effects from adjacent districts, a positive significant effect of labour market programmes is also estimated for the Czech Republic.Wage determination; Unemployment; Labour market programmes

Project Management in Public Projects by Methodology of Project Management Body of Knowledge

Import 05/08/2014Témou diplomovej práce je projektové riadenie vo verejných projektoch podľa Project Management Body of Knowledge. Hlavným cieľom diplomovej práce je na základe hodnotenia projektu podľa kritérií úspešnosti projektu navrhnúť opatrenia, ktoré povedú k zlepšeniu v oblasti riadenia verejných projektov využitím štandardu Project Management Body of Knowledge. Hodnotením projektom je verejný investičný projekt Dúhový dom v Ostrave, ktorý bol realizovaný v období 2011 - 2012. V teoretickej časti sú popísané rôzne medzinárodné štandardy projektového riadenia, príklady úspešných a neúspešných projektov a podrobnejšie popísané fáze projektového cyklu s jednotlivými nástrojmi, metódami a technikami projektového riadenia. V praktickej časti je predstavený projekt komunitného centra Dúhový dom a následne hodnotený podľa kritérií úspešnosti projektu. Hodnotenie prebiehalo formou komparatívnej analýzy získaných informácií prostredníctvom riadeného rozhovoru a požiadaviek na komunitné centrum od zúčastnených strán. Následne bola prevedená syntéza prostredníctvom, ktorej boli zhromaždené identifikované nedostatky. Nedostatky boli podkladom pre navrhnutie opatrení na zdokonalenie riadenia verejných projektov. V závere práce sú zhrnuté nedostatky projektu a navrhnuté opatrenia, ktoré by v budúcnosti boli strategickým prínosom pre riadenie verejných projektov.The theme of the thesis is project management in public projects under the Project Management Body of Knowledge . The main objective of the thesis is based on the assessment of the project according to the criteria of project success to propose measures that will lead to improvements in the management of public projects using standard Project Management Body of Knowledge . Evaluation of the project is a public investment project Rainbow House in Ostrava, which was implemented in the period 2011 - 2012. Theoretical part describes the different international standards of project management, examples of successful and failed projects and described in detail phases of the project cycle with individual tools, methods and techniques of project management . The practical part is introduced Project Rainbow House Community Center and then evaluated according to the criteria of project success . Assessment was carried out by means of a comparative analysis of the information obtained through guided dialogue and community center requirements from stakeholders . It was subsequently transferred through synthesis, which were collected identified deficiencies . Deficiencies were the basis for proposing measures to improve the management of public projects . Administration building in Ostrava - building and technological project

ANOTACE Hlavným zámerom mojej diplomovej práce je navrhnúť administratívnu budovu, vypracovať projektovú dokumentáciu pre stavebné povolenie, rozpočet, časový sled prác a technologické postupy pre zvolené stropné konštrukcie. Porovnávala som pracovnú, časovú a finančnú náročnosť u stropných systémov Spiroll a POROTHERM. Administratívna budova je nepodpivničená a celkom bezbariérová. Je navrhnutých 19 kancelárii, kuchynky s oddychovou miestnosťou, výťahový a schodiskový priestor, vstupná hala. Objekt je zastrešený plochou jednovrstvovou strechou s min. sklonom 2%. Hlavný vchod je situovaný na východnú stranu. Súčasťou objektu sú parkovacie miesta pre zamestnancov, invalidov, cyklistov a motocykle. Pri budovaný tejto budovy je podstatou využívať dostupné prírodné zdroje.ANNOTATION The main intention of my diploma thesis is to design and administrative building, elaborate project documentation for building permit, budget, time schedule and technological procedures for selected ceiling constructions. I compared the work, time and financial demands of the Spiroll and POROTHERM ceiling systems. The administrative building is unprivileged and barrier-free. There are 19 offices, kitchens with a relaxation room, lift and staircase, entrance hall. The object is intimidated by flat single-layer roof with min. inclination of 2%. The main entrance is situated on the east side. Part of the building are parking spaces for employees, disabled, cyclists and bikers. Moravská Ostrava – objemová studie proluky nároží ulice Šubertova a Hollarova

Import 02/11/2016The bachelor thesis presents design of the building in a free gap on the corneer of Hollarova and Subertova street. The building will have 4 floors, where the first floor will serve for public use, upper floors will serve for housing. There will be also a parking lot next to the building. The thesis is conducted within the scope of specific studies, solves static traffic, typological proposal and takes into account the requirements for barrier-free use of buildings. Firmy špecializujúce sa na odvetvie IKT dokážu produkovať vysoké pridané hodnoty a dosahujú vysokých ziskov. IT pracovníci majú častokrát nadpriemerné mzdové ohodnotenie. Z týchto dôvodov je potrebné skúmať odvetvie IKT a táto diplomová práca je na to určená. V každom regióne môže mať dopad odvetvia IKT iné následky a my sme si pre komparáciu vybrali dve - Ostravský a Košický región. Management and Marketing of a Large Sporting Event

Cieľom bakalárskej práce je priblíženie manažmentu a marketingu veľkej športovej akcie, ktorá nesie názov Zlatá tretra. V teoretickej časti je priblíženie manažmentu a marketingu. Poznatky z teoretickej časti sú prenesené do praktickej. Pri manažmente je použitá metóda rozhovoru a pri marketingu je metóda dotazníka a SWOT analýzy. Dotazník vyplnilo 72 respondentov a na základe odpovedí bola zostavená SWOT analýza. Na záver bolo zistenie nových príležitostí a prípadných zmien v odvetví marketingu, ktoré by priniesli množstvo nových divákov.This aim of the bachelor's thesis is to provide an insight into the management and marketing of a large sports event called Golden Spike. The theoretical part introduces the concepts of management and marketing, which are then applied in the practical part. The management aspect is approached through interviews, while the marketing aspect is analysed using questionnaires and SWOT analysis. The questionnaire was completed by 72 respondents, and a SWOT analysis was based on their responses.
