Semilocal Generic Formal Fibers
Let T be a complete local ring and C a finite set of incomparable prime
ideals of T. We find necessary and sufficient conditions for T to be the
completion of an integral domain whose generic formal fiber is semilocal with
maximal ideals the elements of C. In addition, if char T = 0, we give necessary
and sufficient conditions for T to be the completion of an excellent integral
domain whose generic formal fiber is semilocal with maximal ideals the elements
of C.Comment: 15 page
On differential completions and compactifications of a differential space
Differential completions and compactifications of differential spaces are
introduced and investigated. The existence of the maximal differential
completion and the maximal differential compactification is proved. A
sufficient condition for the existence of a complete uniform differential
structure on a given differential space is given.Comment: 17 page
Relative p-adic Hodge theory and Rapoport-Zink period domains
As an example of relative p-adic Hodge theory, we sketch the construction of
the universal admissible filtration of an isocrystal (\phi$-module) over the
completion of the maximal unramified extension of Q_p, together with the
associated universal crystalline local system.Comment: 20 page
Stroke-related Effects on Maximal Dynamic Hip Flexor Fatigability and Functional Implications
Introduction: Stroke-related changes in maximal dynamic hip flexor muscle fatigability may be more relevant functionally than isometric hip flexor fatigability. Methods: Ten chronic stroke survivors performed 5 sets of 30 hip flexion maximal dynamic voluntary contractions (MDVC). A maximal isometric voluntary contraction (MIVC) was performed before and after completion of the dynamic contractions. Both the paretic and nonparetic legs were tested. Results: Reduction in hip flexion MDVC torque in the paretic leg (44.7%) was larger than the nonparetic leg (31.7%). The paretic leg had a larger reduction in rectus femoris EMG (28.9%) between the first and last set of MDVCs than the nonparetic leg (7.4%). Reduction in paretic leg MDVC torque was correlated with self-selected walking speed (r2 = 0.43), while reduction in MIVC torque was not (r2 = 0.11). Conclusions: Reductions in maximal dynamic torque of paretic hip flexors may be a better predictor of walking function than reductions in maximal isometric contractions
The index complex of a maximal subalgebra of a Lie algebra.
Let M be a maximal subalgebra of the Lie algebra L. A subalgebra C of L is said to be a completion for M if C is not contained in M but every proper subalgebra of C that is an ideal of L is contained in M. The set I(M) of all completions of M is called the index complex of M in L. We use this concept to investigate the influence of the maximal subalgebras on the structure of a Lie algebra, in particular finding new characterisations of solvable and supersolvable Lie algebras
Dynamically generated electric charge distributions in Abelian projected SU(2) lattice gauge theories
We show in the maximal Abelian gauge the dynamical electric charge density
generated by the coset fields, gauge fixing and ghosts shows antiscreening as
in the case of the non-Abelian charge. We verify that with the completion of
the ghost term all contributions to flux are accounted for in an exact lattice
Ehrenfest relation.Comment: LATTICE98(confine
