    A Group Decision-Making Model Based on Regression Method with Hesitant Fuzzy Preference Relations

    In recent years, the decision-making models with hesitant fuzzy preference relations (HFPRs) have received a lot of attention by some researchers. Meanwhile, the previous studies normally adopt normalization technical means to ensure the same number for all elements, which biases original information of decision-makers. In order to overcome this problem, in this paper, the multiplicative consistency of HFPRs is defined and the highest consistent reduced HFPRs are obtained by means of fuzzy linear programming method from given HFPRs. The proposed regression method eliminates the unreasonable information and retains the reasonable information from a given HFPR. In addition, the proposed method overcomes drawbacks of Zhu and Xu’s regression method and is more simple and effective. On account of the obtained reduced HFPRs by the proposed regression method, a GDM model is established. Finally, a supplier selection problem was researched to present the effectiveness and pragmatism of the proposed approach, which proved that the method could offer beneficial insights into the GDM procedure

    Consistency and Consensus Driven for Hesitant Fuzzy Linguistic Decision Making with Pairwise Comparisons

    Hesitant fuzzy linguistic preference relation (HFLPR) is of interest because it provides an efficient way for opinion expression under uncertainty. For enhancing the theory of decision making with HFLPR, the paper introduces an algorithm for group decision making with HFLPRs based on the acceptable consistency and consensus measurements, which involves (1) defining a hesitant fuzzy linguistic geometric consistency index (HFLGCI) and proposing a procedure for consistency checking and inconsistency improving for HFLPR; (2) measuring the group consensus based on the similarity between the original individual HFLPRs and the overall perfect HFLPR, then establishing a procedure for consensus ensuring including the determination of decision-makers weights. The convergence and monotonicity of the proposed two procedures have been proved. Some experiments are furtherly performed to investigate the critical values of the defined HFLGCI, and comparative analyses are conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. A case concerning the performance evaluation of venture capital guiding funds is given to illustrate the availability of the proposed algorithm. As an application of our work, an online decision-making portal is finally provided for decision-makers to utilize the proposed algorithms to solve decision-making problems.Comment: Pulished by Expert Systems with Applications (ISSN: 0957-4174

    City Sustainable Development Evaluation Based on Hesitant Multiplicative Fuzzy Information

    Sustainable development evaluation is the basis of city sustainable development research, and effective evaluation is the foundation for guiding the formulation and implementation of sustainable development strategy. In this paper, we provided a new city sustainable development evaluation method called hesitant multiplicative fuzzy TODIM (HMF-TODIM). The main advantage of this method is that it can deal with the subjective preference information of the decision-makers. The comparison study of existing methods and HMF-TODIM is also carried out. Additionally, real case analysis is presented to show the validity and superiority of the proposed method. Research results in this paper can provide useful information for the construction of sustainable cities

    Alternative Ranking-Based Clustering and Reliability Index-Based Consensus Reaching Process for Hesitant Fuzzy Large Scale Group Decision Making

    The paper addresses the growing importance of Large Scale Group Decision Making (LSGDM) problems, focusing on hesitant fuzzy LSGDM. It introduces a Reliability Index-based Consensus Reaching Process (RI-CRP) to enhance efficiency. The proposed method assesses the ordinal consistency of decision makers' (DMs) information, measures deviation, and assigns a reliability index to DMs' opinions. An unreliable DMs management method is presented to filter out unreliable information. Additionally, an Alternative Ranking-based Clustering (ARC) method with hesitant fuzzy reciprocal preference relations is proposed to improve the efficiency of RI-CRP. The numerical example demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of the ARC method and RI-CRP for hesitant fuzzy LSGDM problems.Este artículo aborda la creciente importancia de los problemas de Toma de Decisiones en Grupo a Gran Escala (LSGDM), centrándose en el LSGDM difuso vacilante. Introduce un Proceso de Consenso Basado en Índices de Fiabilidad (RI-CRP) para mejorar la eficiencia. El método propuesto evalúa la consistencia ordinal de la información de los decisores, mide la desviación y asigna un índice de fiabilidad a las opiniones de los decisores. Se presenta un método de gestión de los decisores poco fiables para filtrar la información poco fiable. Además, se propone un método de agrupamiento alternativo basado en la clasificación (ARC) con relaciones de preferencia recíproca difusas vacilantes para mejorar la eficacia de RI-CRP.     An overview on managing additive consistency of reciprocal preference relations for consistency-driven decision making and Fusion: Taxonomy and future directions

In recent years, various types of RPRs have been reported and investigated, some of them being the ‘classical’ RPRs, interval-valued RPRs and hesitant RPRs. Additive consistency is one of the most commonly used property to measure the consistency of RPRs, with many methods developed to manage additive consistency of RPRs. To provide a clear perspective on additive consistency issues of RPRs, this paper reviews the consistency measurements of the different types of RPRs. Then, consistency-driven decision making and information fusion methods are also reviewed and classified into four main types: consistency improving methods; consistency-based methods to manage incomplete RPRs; consistency control in consensus decision making methods; and consistency-driven linguistic decision making methods. Finally, with respect to insights gained from prior researches, further directions for the research are proposed

    Multiplicative Consistency Ascertaining, Inconsistency Repairing, and Weights Derivation of Hesitant Multiplicative Preference Relations

The Publisher's final version can be found by following the DOI link.This article investigates multiplicative consistency ascertaining, inconsistency repairing, and weights derivation for hesitant multiplicative preference relations (HMPRs). First, the completely multiplicative consistency and weakly multiplicative consistency of HMPRs are defined. Based on them, 0-1 mixed programming models and simple algebraic operations are proposed to ascertain the multiplicative consistency of HMPRs. Then, some goal programming models are developed to generate the weights from consistent HMPRs and to revise inconsistent HMPRs. An integrated procedure to manage the multiplicative consistencies of HMPRs is designed. The proposed methods are also extended to accommodate incomplete HMPRs, and to estimate missing values. Finally, some numerical examples, a comparative analysis with existent approaches, and a simulation analysis are included to illustrate the practicality and effectiveness of the developed models

    Hesitant Probabilistic Fuzzy Preference Relations in Decision Making

    Preference of an alternative over another alternative is a useful way to express the opinion of decision maker. In the process of group decision making, preference relations are used in preference modelling of the alternatives under given criteria. The probability is an important tool to deal with uncertainty; in many scenarios of decision making probabilities of different events affect the decision making process directly. In order to deal with this issue, in this paper, hesitant probabilistic fuzzy preference relation (HPFPR) is defined. Furthermore, consistency of HPFPR and consensus among decision makers are studied in the hesitant probabilistic fuzzy environment. In this respect, many novel algorithms are developed to achieve consistency of HPFPRs and reasonable consensus between decision makers and a final algorithm is proposed comprehending all other algorithms, presenting a complete decision support model for group decision making. Lastly, we present a case study with complete illustration of the proposed model and discussed the effects of probabilities on decision making validating the importance of the introduction of probability in hesitant fuzzy preference relation
