Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning for Power Control in Wireless Networks via Adaptive Graphs
The ever-increasing demand for high-quality and heterogeneous wireless
communication services has driven extensive research on dynamic optimization
strategies in wireless networks. Among several possible approaches, multi-agent
deep reinforcement learning (MADRL) has emerged as a promising method to
address a wide range of complex optimization problems like power control.
However, the seamless application of MADRL to a variety of network optimization
problems faces several challenges related to convergence. In this paper, we
present the use of graphs as communication-inducing structures among
distributed agents as an effective means to mitigate these challenges.
Specifically, we harness graph neural networks (GNNs) as neural architectures
for policy parameterization to introduce a relational inductive bias in the
collective decision-making process. Most importantly, we focus on modeling the
dynamic interactions among sets of neighboring agents through the introduction
of innovative methods for defining a graph-induced framework for integrated
communication and learning. Finally, the superior generalization capabilities
of the proposed methodology to larger networks and to networks with different

Gamified budgeting for managing household finances
The current UK economic climate is leading households into debt. The rising cost of living and inflation are resulting in households struggling with financial management. This has implications on the quality of life and economic mobility. Early motivation for and the utilisation of financial management tools can alleviate the risk of spiralling debt. In this paper, we present the case for a gamified collaborative financial management tool. We explain how current research has focused on individuals yet households often have shared and interweaving finances which would benefit from collaborative tools. We articulate the importance of motivation in financial administration and discuss the potential of gamification to motivate households in the proactive management of finances. In this regard, we describe the results of conducting a survey to investigate the case for gamification in household financial management. Our findings suggest that gamification may offer new ways to motivate household financial management and can help households manage their exposure to debt

A contextual behavioral approach to the study of (persecutory) delusions
Throughout the past century the topic of delusions has mainly been studied by researchers operating at the mental level of analysis. According to this perspective, delusional beliefs, as well as their emergence and persistence, stem from an interplay between (dysfunctional) mental representations and processes. Our paper aims to provide a starting point for researchers and clinicians interested in examining the topic of delusions from a functional-analytic perspective. We begin with a brief review of the research literature with a particular focus on persecutory delusions. Thereafter we introduce Contextual Behavioral Science (CBS), Relational Frame Theory (RFT) and a behavioral phenomenon known as arbitrarily applicable relational responding (AARR). Drawing upon AARR, and recent empirical developments within CBS, we argue that (persecutory) delusions may be conceptualized, studied and influenced using a functional-analytic approach. We consider future directions for research in this area as well as clinical interventions aimed at influencing delusions and their expression
