Cryptoassets as a Tool for Money Laundering

Předložená bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou legalizace výnosů z trestné činnosti s využitím kryptoaktiv. Trh s kryptoaktivy začíná nabývat poměrně velkých rozměrů a dostávají se tak do povědomí nejen odborné, ale i laické veřejnosti. Kryptoměny jsou díky svým vlastnostem velmi lákavé pro zločince, kterým se tak otevírají nové možnosti, jak nelegální prostředky vyprat. Na tuto skutečnost reaguje české i evropské zákonodárství. Tato práce zkoumá fungování kryptoměn a nástrojů, jež mohou být využity pro praní špinavých peněz, dále samotný trestný čin legalizace výnosů z trestné činnosti, přičemž je poté aplikován na kryptoměny s uvedením konkrétních případů. Pozornost je pak věnována zejména české a evropské regulaci v oblasti AML, která má zamezit praní špinavých peněz skrze kryptoměny.The presented bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the legalization of proceeds of crime using crypto-assets. The crypto-asset market is starting to take on quite large proportions, bringing awareness not only to the professional but also to the lay public. Cryptocurrencies are very attractive to criminals because of their characteristics, thus opening up new ways to launder illegal funds. The Czech and European legislatures are responding to this fact. This work examines the functioning of cryptocurrencies and tools that can be used for money laundering, the crime of laundering the proceeds of crime itself, and is then applied to cryptocurrencies, indicating specific cases. Attention is then paid especially to Czech and European regulation in the field of AML, which aims to prevent money laundering through cryptocurrencies.119 - Katedra právavýborn

Evaluation of Cryptocurrencies as Investment Commodities

Tato bakalářská práce je o kryptoměnách. Cílem je jejich zhodnocení jako investiční komodity. Teoretická část je zaměřena na objasnění pojmů peněz a kryptoměn. Použité metody zahrnují regresní a korelační analýzu a statistické metody jako jsou míry variability a polohy. Výsledky v praktické části naznačují, že kryptoměny jsou dobrou investiční komoditou. Nabízí velké výnosy, ale také velké riziko. O kryptoměnách lze proto nejlépe uvažovat jako o dlouhodobých investicích, kde je riziko relativně nižší. Další analýzy ukázaly, že faktor, který ovlivňuje cenu Bitcoinu nejvíce je S&P 500 index.This bachelor thesis is about cryptocurrencies. The aim is to evaluate them as an investment commodity. The theoretical part is focused on clarifying the concepts of money and cryptocurrencies. Used methods includes regres and corelation analysis and statistical methods as variability and positions measures. The results of practical part suggest, that cryptocurrencies are good Investment commodity. It offers great revenues, but also a great risk. Therefore the best way how to think of cryptocurrencies is long-term investment, where the risk is relatively lower. Analysis of investments in cryptocurrencies

Tato bakalářská práce na téma "Analýza investice do kryptoměn", jak již název napovídá, se zabývá analýzou investic do různých investičních komodit, zejména do kryptoměn. V první části práce jsou vysvětleny obecně věci, které se ke kryptoměnám vztahují: co jsou to kryptoměny, jejich podobnost s penězi, popis nejvýznamnějších zástupců z trhu kryptoměn, jejich historie a následně jejich porovnání. V další části se práce zaměřuje na detailnější rozbor analýzy investic, jak do běžných komodit typu akcie, tak i do kryptoměn. Cílem práce bylo zanalyzovat investice do různých komodit, porovnat je podle určitých ukazatelů a následně je vyhodnotit. Závěr práce shrnuje obsah celé bakalářské práce a zhodnocuje, jestli je investice do kryptoměn správná volba.ObhájenoThis bachelor thesis on the topic "Analysis of investments in cryptocurrencies", as the name suggests, deals with the analysis of investments in various investment commodities, especially cryptocurrencies. The first part of the thesis explains in general the things that relate to cryptocurrencies: what are cryptocurrencies, their similarity to money, a description of the most important representatives of the cryptocurrency market, their history and then their comparison. In the next part, the work focuses on a more detailed analysis of the analysis of investments in both common stock commodities and cryptocurrencies. The aim of the work was to analyse investments in various commodities, compare them according to certain indicators and then evaluate them. The conclusion summarizes the content of the entire bachelor thesis and evaluates whether investing in cryptocurrencies is the right choice

Analysis of Investment in Cryptocurrencies

V mé bakalářské práci se věnuji analýze investičního potenciálu kryptoměn. Kromě obecného seznámení s kryptoměnami se zaměřím na Bitcoin, který je jejich momentálně nejvýznamnějším představitelem. Na základě výstupů z teoretické i praktické části bakalářské práce mezi sebou porovnám investici do Bitcoinu oproti nejoblíbenější investiční komoditě, zlatu. Dále předvedu vlastní předpoklad budoucího vývoje Bitcoinu a v poslední řadě popíšu vlastní návrh strategie investování do kryptoměn.In my bachelor thesis I analyse the investment potential of cryptocurrencies. In addition to a general introduction to cryptocurrencies, I will mainly focus on Bitcoin, which is currently their most important representative. Based on the outputs from the theoretical and practical part of the bachelor´s thesis, I will compare investments in Bitcoin against the most popular investment commodity, which is gold. Furthermore, I will present my own assumption of the future development of Bitcoin. In the end I will describe my own proposal of a strategy for investing in cryptocurrencies.

Analysis of Income Taxation on Purchases, Sales and Extraction of Cryptocurrency

Cílem této práce je shrnout základní způsoby zdanění příjmů plynoucích z nákupu, prodeje a těžby kryptoměn dle platné legislativy. V první části této práce jsou objasněna teoretická východiska, která se vztahují k problematice kryptoměn. Tyto teoretické poznatky jsou dále uplatněny v části praktické. Praktická část využívá, mimo jiné, i výsledky rozhovorů s několika odborníky v tomhle oboru. Výsledky této práce mohou poskytnout užitečné informace pro obchodníky a podnikatelé s kryptoměnami, kteří mají povinnost příjem z těchto aktivit přiznat a zdanit.The aim of this work is to summarize the basic methods of taxation of income from the purchase, sale and mining of cryptocurrencies according to valid legislation. The first part of this thesis explains the theoretical bases related to cryptocurrency. These theoretical findings are further applied in the practical part. The practical part uses, among other things, the results of interviews with several experts in this field. The results of this work can provide useful information for cryptocurrency traders and entrepreneurs who are obliged to admit and tax income from these activities.117 - Katedra účetnictví a danívýborn

Multi-criteria evaluation of selected cryptocurrencies

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vícekriteriální komparací vybraných kryptoměn dle stanovených kritérií pro předem definované cílové skupiny. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá historií, definicí peněz a alternativních měn. Rovněž je teoretické části popsán vývoj alternativních měn a kryptoaktiv. V poslední teoretické části jsou popsány největší kryptoměny dle tržní kapitalizace. V praktické části dochází ke komparaci vybraných kryptoměn pomocí vícekriteriálních metod hodnocení. Metody jsou aplikovány na jednotlivé cílové skupiny dle jejich preferencí pro užití kryptoměn a v závěru práce je vyhodnoceno, která kryptoměna či kryptoměny jsou pro danou cílovou skupinu nejvýhodnější dle použitých metod.The bachelor thesis deals with a multi-criteria comparison of selected cryptocurrencies according to set criteria for predefined target groups. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the history, definition of money and alternative currencies. Also, the theoretical part describes the development of alternative currencies and cryptoassets. The last theoretical part describes the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. The practical part compares the selected cryptocurrencies using multi-criteria evaluation methods. The methods are applied to individual target groups according to their preferences for the use of cryptocurrencies and in the conclusion of the thesis it is evaluated which cryptocurrency or cryptocurrencies are the most beneficial for a given target group according to the methods used.114 - Katedra ekonomievelmi dobř

Principles of Automated Trading on Cryptocurrency Exchanges

Diplomová práce cílí na vytvoření nástroje pro automatizované obchodování kryptoměn, tzv. bota. Práce popisuje kryptoměny a porovnává jakým způsobem se aktuálně kryptoměny obchodují. Součástí práce je krátký úvod do technické analýzy včetně popisu několika grafových vzorů a technických indikátorů jakožto možný způsob pro analýzu kryptoměnových párů a automatizování obchodování. Dále lze v práci nalézt srovnání několika vybraných existujících kryptobotů a legislativní rámec týkající se kryptoměn. V praktické části je popsán implementovaný kryptobot, který na základě vytvořených obchodních příkazů uskutečňuje reálné obchody na burze. Výsledný kryptobot byl napsán v jazyce Python a pro persistenci dat využívá SŘBD MySQL.The thesis aims to create a tool for automated trading of cryptocurrencies, a so called “bot”. The thesis describes cryptocurrencies and compares the current methods of cryptocurrency trading. The thesis includes a brief introduction to technical analysis, including a description of several chart patterns and technical indicators as a possible way to analyze cryptocurrency pairs and automate trading. In addition, the thesis compares several selected existing crypto-bots and the legislative framework regarding cryptocurrencies. The practical part describes the implemented crypto-bot, which executes real trades on the exchange based on created trading orders. Assessing the Future of Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrencies

Cílem práce je zjistit, zda mají kryptoměny, převážně Bitcoin, šanci v budoucnu nahradit platební systém. Kromě Bitcoinu jsou v práci zvoleny kryptoměny, jako je Ethereum a Litecoin. K zjištění daného cíle jsou použity nejenom metody analýzy, syntézy a deskriptivy, ale i konkrétnější statistické metody. Jedná se o výpočty, kterými jsou rozpoznány polohové, variabilní i závislostní charakteristiky. Po kapitolách, které obsahují podstatnou charakteristiku peněz a kryptoměn, se závěrečná empirická část zabývá otázkou, zda kryptoměny plní tři základní funkce tradičních měn. První funkci, tzv. prostředek směny, převážně splňují, až na výjimky míst na zemi, kde se lidé dosud s těmito měnami nesetkali. Následující hodnocené funkce dopadly hůře. Jelikož jsou kryptoměny velice volatilní měnou, je velmi těžké je srovnávat s každodenní měnou, kde se cena aktiv vyjádřená např. bitcoinem, neustále mění. Funkce zúčtovací jednotky a uchovatele hodnoty tak nejsou naplno splněny. V závěrečné práci je tak zjištěno, že nyní kryptoměny nedokážou plně nahradit platební systém. V cestě jim mimo jiné stojí regulace vlád i úroveň využívaných technologií. Není však vyloučena možnost, že po eliminaci zjištěných nedostatků, by se tak v budoucnu mohlo stát.The aim of this work is to find out whether cryptocurrencies, mostly Bitcoin, have a chance to replace the payment system. Next to Bitcoin there are also other cryptocurrencies chosen in this work for example Ethereum and Litecoin. To find out the answer not only methods of analysis, synthesis and descriptive geometry are used but also more specific statistic methods. It's about calculations which are used to recognise and find out positional, variable and dependent characteristics. After chapters which contain significant characteristic of money and cryptocurrencies the final empirical part is about a question whether cryptocurrencies fulfill three basic functions of traditional currencies. Cryptocurrencies predominantly fulfill the first function, so called means of exchange, with an exception of places where people havent met with cryptocurrencies yet. The following rated functions were not as successful as the first one. Because cryptocurrencies are very volatile type of currency it is hard to compare them with classic currencies where the price of assets expressed f. e. in Bitcoin is continuously changing. Therefore function of unit of account and unit keeper is not met entirely. In the final work it was found out that now cryptocurrencies cannot entirely substitute the payment system. Also the goverment regulations and the level of used technology is a hindrance. But after elimination of some drawbacks that were found out there is a possibility that it could replace the payment system entirely.156 - Katedra národohospodářskávýborn

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na kryptoměny s cílem charakterizování kurzů vybraných kryptoměn v letech od roku 2018 do roku 2021 pomocí vybraných metod. První kapitola se zaměřuje na obecný pohled na kryptoměny, jejich vymezení, historii a technologii. V první kapitole je také popsán způsob těžby, držení, nákupu a prodeje kryptoměn. Ve druhé kapitole jsou blíže popsány kryptoměny Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano a Iota. Ve třetí kapitole jsou popsané metody, které jsou využívány při charakterizování kurzů kryptoměn. Předposlední čtvrtá kapitola obsahuje analýzu daných kryptoměn pomocí metod popsaných v předchozí kapitole. Jako poslední byl formulován závěr, ve kterém jsou shrnuté dosažené výsledky.ObhájenoThis bachelor thesis is focused on cryptocurrencies with the aim of characterizing the courses of selected cryptocurrencies in the years from 2018 to 2021 using selected methods. The first chapter focuses on a general view of cryptocurrencies, their definition, history, and technology. The first chapters also describes the method of mining and selling cryptocurrencies and also way of holding and buying cryptocurrencies. The second chapter describes in more details the cryptocurrencies Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano and Iota. The third chapter describes the methods that are used to characterize the rates od cryptocurrencies. And the penultimate four chapter contains an analysis of cryptocurrencies, using the methods described in the previous chapter. Finally in the end a conclusion was formulated in which the achieved results are summarized

Cryptocurrency Exchanges, Analysis, Implementation and Trading Principles

Práce se zabývá kryptoměnovými burzami a automatizovaným obchodováním kryptoměn. V práci jsou popsány kryptoměny, regulace kryptoměn a způsoby realizace zisku na burzách. Praktická část obsahuje tvorbu kryptorobota, který na základě statistiky a technické analýzy vytváří obchodní doporučení. Na vývoji se podíleli čtyři studenti. Použité technologie byly skriptovací jazyk Python, JavaScriptový framework React a databázový systém MySQL.This thesis handles cryptocurrency exchanges and automated cryptocurrency trading. Thesis de- scribes cryptocurrency, regulation of cryptocurrency and ways to generate profit on exchanges. Practical part consists of development of a new cryptocurrency trading bot, that uses statistics and technical analysis to generate trading recommendations.
