Lifestyle: the possibility of ecologization
Historically, until recently, society's attitude to nature was of the nature of the consumer. The man was interested mainly as a source of resources to meet the needs of production and consumption. Now it's time to move to another culture, opposite the former, which focuses not only on consumers, but also support the natural environment in a state fit for current and future generations, as well as other organisms that inhabit the planet

CHILDHOOD APRAXIA OF SPEECH (CAS) - OVERVIEW AND TEACHING STRATEGIES
Childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) also known as Developmental verbal Dyspraxia (DVD) is an unusual speech disorder in which a child struggles on realising accurate mouth, jaw and tongue movements in order to speak. Children with CAS have problems saying sounds, syllables, and words. It's important to know that CAS is just a label for a speech disorder. In other words, the child's brain has to learn how to make plans that tell his or her speech muscles how to move the lips, jaw and tongue in ways that result in accurate speaking. At the same time, these movements must ensure that the speech is occurring at normal speed and rhythm. In childhood apraxia of speech, the brain struggles to develop plans for speech movement. As a result, children with CAS don't learn accurate movements for speech with normal ease. In CAS, the speech muscles aren't weak, but they don't perform normally because the brain has difficulty leading or harmonizing the movements. A child with apraxia cannot move his or her lips or tongue to the right place to say sounds correctly because the message from the brain to the mouth is disrupted. Article visualizations
Time in the modern novel between imagination and argumentation: Ahmed Saadawi's novel "Frankenstein in Baghdad" as an example
This scientific contribution aims to explore the concept of time and its manifestations in narratives in general, and in what has been described as the "thesis novel" specifically. It also examines the argumentative aims of the various narrative techniques on which time is based in the modern novel. Time is seen as a principal structure and an important element in the narrative process. It is the vessel that contains the lives lived by the characters in the work of fiction. The intersections of creative narrative events move within it. With its functional diversity, the ways in which it is approached vary, as do the points of view regarding it. This is the particular rhythm with which each novel organizes itself individually.
Overall; In order to understand the importance of time firstly, then its structural elements and, thirdly, the creator's desired objectives in employing it. We have chosen to work on a modern novelistic model. It is based above all on the miraculous and the strange. The novel in question is "Frankenstein in Baghdad" by Iraqi writer Ahmed Saadawi. It's a novel that manages to break the monotony of the traditional narrative, creating different temporal contexts in front of the reader that go beyond the monotony of the classic Arab narrative

Keynote Address: Economies in Transition: Some Aspects of Environmental Policy
It is such an honor for me to follow in this program such esteemed individuals and close friends. And I am also quite thrilled to be here, in a literal sense, if you would appreciate that in the last 18 hours it's been a 12,000 mile journey to get here on time. When one leaves an afternoon talk in Seoul, stops in Singapore, Bombay, Zurich, and Prague and arrives within a few moments of schedule, I think one can say that some systems in the world are working well. The amazing fact that one can reliably give an afternoon talk in Seoul and a breakfast talk in Prague gives one pause in another way: as fast as economists move, world capital moves even faster; it's just the press of a button. Not only can one shuttle between Seoul and Prague, but Korea and the Czech Republic compete directly for international capital and for markets. When we consider our policy choices and the issues of the day, we have to put them as clearly as possible within the realistic framework of today's world markets and today's possibilities for nations to both grow and improve the environment. And it is in that context that I would like to turn to a specific although very broad part of the current policy agenda: not the question of global cooperation, but the more specific set of issues involved in the transition economies of this region
On Quick Measurement of Airborne Ultrasound Pressure Fields
While ultrasound has long been used in the medical field in solid and liquid mediums, it's use in air has been less thoroughly researched due to a previous lack of applications. Recently it has been used for new applications such as mid-air haptics and the levitation of small particles. These applications require accurate acoustic holograms to be generated in mid-air. In order to do so it is vital to measure accurately these pressure fields, but also quickly in order to allow for quick iteration on work, or even real-time feedback. In addition to this it is of benefit to measure the sound field without interfering with it, which microphone set ups often do due to reflections of the device used to move the microphone. This work finds these methods currently lacking, though there are techniques used in place of hydrophones in water that could be adapted to work for the in-air context such as thermography
Project ROI Report: Defining the Competitive and Financial Advantages of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Corporate Responsibility (CR) practices have great potential to deliver financial returns on investment (ROI) as well as related business and competitive benefits. But it's not enough to engage in CR activities, one must manage them well. Companies should view their combined CR practices as value-creating assets. With proper design and sufficient investment, a company's "CR Assets" can support returns related to: * Share price and market value* Sales and revenue* Reputation and brand* Human resources* Risk and license to operateIt is time to move away from the debate over whether CR in the abstract creates or destroys value. Companies and their managers are able to exert some measure of both choice and control over the business-related benefits that their CR management will deliver. Like other investments, some CR initiatives will pan out and others won't. The implication for companies is to develop business-aligned and integrated CR strategies. This includes applying to CR some of the same management disciplines as any other business function
