    Get PDF
In recent years, with the rapid development of video surveillance infrastructure, more and more intelligent surveillance systems have employed computer vision and pattern recognition techniques. In this paper, we present a novel intelligent surveillance system used for the management of road vehicles based on Intelligent Visual Internet of Things (IVIoT). The system has the ability to extract the vehicle visual tags on the urban roads; in other words, it can label any vehicle by means of computer vision and therefore can easily recognize vehicles with visual tags. The nodes designed in the system can be installed not only on the urban roads for providing basic information but also on the mobile sensing vehicles for providing mobility support and improving sensing coverage. Visual tags mentioned in this paper consist of license plate number, vehicle color, and vehicle type and have several additional properties, such as passing spot and passing moment. Moreover, we present a fast and efficient image haze removal method to deal with haze weather condition. The experiment results show that the designed road vehicle monitoring system achieves an average real-time tracking accuracy of 85.80% under different conditions

Electricity, as a very important source of energy, was distributed to customers in the amount of 245518.17 GWh in 2019, and 42.25% of customers were households. The high consumption of electricity needs to be kept in mind. It is necessary to have a good and intelligent energy efficiency system. Nowadays, Internet of Things (IoT) technology is being widely used. The electricity monitoring system and prediction of the use of electrical energy in real time based on technology can be one solution to the problem of electrical energy efficiency. For this reason, the Monitoring System for household electricity use using an Internet of Things-based website is expected to increase user awareness and make electrical energy efficient in household groups. This study designs Internet of Things (IoT) technology for a smart monitoring system in everyday electricity use. The research method is experimental with a quantitative approach. This study tries Firebase as an IoT platform with NodeMCU ESP-32 as the microcontroller. The sensor used to detect all electrical parameters is PZEM 004T V3. Monitoring data in real time can be accessed via a web browser. The system as a whole system works well, in accordance with the desired work design. The average value of error reading energy is 2% or a difference of 0.01 kWh every day, as well as latency testing with an average delay of 21.5 ms, with 64 Byte data testing with a timeout of 1000 ms, 0.2% packet loss percentage of 548 dat

The Internet of things is through the radio frequency identification (RFID), infrared sensors, GPS, laser scanners and other information sensing device, as agreed in the agreement, any items and Internet connection, the exchange of information and communication, to realize intelligent identification, location, with a network tracking, monitoring and management. The core of cloud computing is the high-speed information processing and transmission, its core idea is that large amounts of computing resources connected by a network of unified management and scheduling, constitute a computing resource pool to users on demand service. The three components of RFID system include the reader, antenna and the tag. The paper put forward the novel analysis model of Cloud computing based on RFID Internet of things

In order to comprehensively promote mangrove restoration, this paper developed a set of “open space” integrated mangrove intelligent monitoring platform based on the Internet of Things, in order to solve the problems of traditional mangrove monitoring technology, such as simple means and small scale. The platform built LoRa Mesh AD hoc network and NB-IoT Internet of things to collect and transmit mangrove wetland environmental data, developed the upper computer website and the lower computer control system for real_x005ftime monitoring of environmental sensor data, and carried out imaging hyperspectral load with UAV to collect mangrove plant species and distribution and perform spectral analysis. It aims to use information technology to help the construction of ecological civilization, and contribute to fully supporting Zhanjiang to build a “mangrove city”. The test results show that the data transmission is normal, the hyperspectral image picture is clear, the PC analysis is complete, the abnormal environmental data alarm is accurate and rapid, and the control system responds in time

The Design and Implementation of Intelligent Labor Contraction Monitoring System based on Wearable Internet of Things

In current clinical practice, pregnant women who have entered 37 weeks cannot correctly judge whether they are in labor based on their subjective feelings. Wrong judgment of labor contraction can lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes and endanger the safety of mothers and babies. It will also increase the healthcare pressure in the hospital and the healthcare efficiency is reduced. Therefore, it is very meaningful to be able to design a system for monitoring labor contraction based on objective data to assist pregnant women who have entered 37 weeks in deciding the suitable time to go to hospital. For the above requirements, this thesis designs and implements an intelligent labor contraction monitoring system based on wearable Internet of Things. The system combines the Internet of Things technology, wearable technology and machine learning technology to collect contraction data through wearable sensing device. It uses the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network to classify and identify the collected contraction data and realize real-time processing. It improves the accuracy of model recognition to 93.75%. And the recognition results are fed back to the WeChat applet so that pregnant women can view them in real time. The prototype of the wearable sensing device has been integrated by 3D printing and the proof-of-concept system has been demonstrated. Pregnant women can use this system to detect the contraction status and view the contractions in real time through the WeChat applet results. They can judge whether it is suitable for labor, and this system assists in making decisions about the best time to go to hospital

Increase the in population and kindergarten number, especially in urban areas made it difficult to properly manage waste. Thus, this paper proposed a system dedicated to kindergartens to manage to dispose of waste, the system can be called smart garbage based on internet of things (SGI). To ensure a healthy environment and an intelligent waste in the kindergarten management system in an integrated manner and supported by the internet of things (IoT), we presented it in detail identification, the SGI system includes details like a display system, an automatic lid system, and a communication system. This system supplied capabilities to monitor the status of waste continuously and on IoT website can show the percentage of waste placed inside the bin. And by using a Wi-Fi communication system, between the system unit and the monitoring body, to collect waste when the trash is full. The smart system proposed in this paper is the most efficient system of traditional waste management systems because it reduces the use of manpower and significantly limits the spread of waste and fully controls it. Additionally, it can be linked via the IoT to the mobile, thus forming an integrated monitoring system

The method of connecting the objects or things through wireless connectivity, Internet called Internet Of Things. Nowadays a variety of tasks are based on IOT. Cities in the world are becoming smarter by implementing the things around using IOT. This is a new trend in technology. Smart cities include obstacle tracking, object sensing, traffic control, tracking of our activities, examining the baby, monitoring home lights and so on. One of the objective of smart cities is keeping the environment clean and neat. This aim is not fulfilled without the garbage bin management system. Hence the paper “IOT Based Intelligent Bin for Smart Cities” has been developed. Bin management is one of the major applications of IOT. Here sensors are connected to the all the bins at different areas. It senses the level of garbage in bin. When it reaches threshold a message is sent via GSM to the concerned person to clean it as soon as possible. The completed task is done in LabVIEW environment

This paper discusses harnessing Internet of Things in monitoring and managing dams in Republic of Serbia. Large dams are of major importance, primarily because of their use for electricity, but risks which are associated with it should be greatly taken into account. There is a need to consolidate information related to dam facilities in order to use them for dam management in Republic of Serbia. An information system has been developed based on existing systems, allowing utilization of intelligent network sensors. The aim of paper is to describe possibilities Internet of Things application within specific system for dam safety management. In order to facilitate the inclusion of a large number of intelligent sensors, a new data acquisition module for communication with sensors in the monitoring network is defined. The system should provide on time alerting in the case that the security parameters deviate from expected values
