The use of modern technology for scientific studies in a variety of sectors, including sports, has led to significant advancements and tremendous progress in this field. This has resulted in the best performance in various competitions and sports, and one of the modern technologies is the field of genetics technology. The aim of this study was to build a model for measuring the level of physical and skill performance of volleyball players according to the variance level of the MCT1 gene and basic biochemical indicators. The researchers used the descriptive approach. The sample of the study consisted of 21 advanced volleyball players from the Middle Euphrates region participating in the Men's Premier League for the 2020-2021 sports season. To solve the research problem, we used the following variables: the MCT1 gene, chemical indicators of blood (LDH enzyme, the concentration of lactic acid in the blood, PH of blood), and the level of physical and skill performance in volleyball. The researchers used the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for data analysis. In terms of the variance level of the MCT1 gene and various blood chemical indicators for the degree of performance of the skillful physical effort in volleyball, three prediction rates (models) were obtained. The amounts of variability of the MCT1 gene in the research sample varied between high and low levels. The researchers suggest using the model for prediction rates to determine the performance level of volleyball players and stressing genetic study of the MCT1 gene in volleyball players to facilitate the selection of players, particularly juniors

IMPLEMENTATION OF JASMANI TEST FITNESS SCHOOL BASIC LOW CLASS IN ACEH BARAT DISTRICTABSTRACT(ERI WAHYUNI UMAR)This determination is motivated by the need for appropriate measuring tools in order to help and facilitate teachers and students in knowing physical fitness. This research is an implementation of the research on the development of physical fitness measurement tools for low grade elementary school students in Aceh Besar district. This study uses a physical fitness measurement tool for children aged 6-9 years or low grade elementary school students. The purpose of this study is to implement a physical fitness test for low grade elementary school students in West Aceh district. The indicators measured in this study are all aspects related to the problem, namely: (1) speed (running 20 meters), (2) strength endurance (lying body bending elbows), (3) flexibility (sitting reaching forward), and (4 ) endurance of the pulmonary heart (bufagon 720 meters). The research method used is development research. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The subjects of this study were 516 male and female elementary school students in the West Aceh Regency (274 boys and 242 girls). The results of the implementation of the test are the men's validity level of 0.603 rtable 0.603 while the women's validity level of 0.507 rtable 0.383. the reliability level of the son of rcount is above 0.794 while the level of reliability of the son of rcount is above 0.766 and the level of objectivity of the son rcount is 0.587 rtable 0.380 while the level of objectivity of the rcount woman is 0.507 rtable 0.383. Conclusions from the results of the study, that the implementation of the product development of physical fitness test instruments for low grade elementary school students in West Aceh Regency was declared valid and reliable so it was suitable to be used. Furthermore, it is necessary to conduct research with a broader subject and research location, so that the measurement tool product is more tested for eligibility. Keywords: Implementation, Instruments, Physical Fitness Test, Low Class Students

Managing Soil Quality: Challenges in Modern Agriculture

    Get PDF
Soil quality is a concept that allows soil functions to be related to specific purposes. Previous books on soil quality have emphasized descriptive aspects, by focusing on e.g. soil quality indicators, indexing, and minimum data sets. This book takes a management oriented approach by identifying key issues in soil quality and management options to enhance the sustainability of modern agriculture. Topics covered include major plant nutrients (N, P, K), soil acidity, soil organic matter, soil biodiversity, soil compaction, erosion, pesticides and urban waste. Also included are in-depth treatments of the soil quality concept, its history, and its applicability in research and in developed and developing societies. The book will be of significant interest to post-graduate students and researchers in agronomy and in soil, crop and environmental sciences, and to stakeholders involved in issues related to land use and agricultural development

The use of S&T indicators in science policy: Dutch experiences and theoretical perspectives from policy analysis

The relation between bibliometrics and science policy remains underdeveloped. Relevance of new methods to produce indicators is easily claimed, but often without real insight in the policy processes. Drawing on experiences with the use of S&T indicators in science policy in the Netherlands and on principal-agent theory, I develop an analytical perspective which enbles to assess the role of S&T indicators in science policy. It is argue that the use of S&T indicators can only be understood well if one takes the socio-political context with its specific dynamics and rationalities into account

Disintegration and Coordination of Forecast Parameters of Socio-Economic Development and the Fuel and Energy Balance of the Region

The scope of strategic planning documents for the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the procedure for their development and coordination on interregional and federal levels, the requirements for their content and conjunction with other long- and medium-term territorial programs are now approved by statute. The article presents the theoretical and methodological problems of detailing and interrelation of the region’s socio-economic development scenarios with the forecast parameters of regional energy consumption based on the fuel and energy balance under conditions of incomplete retrospective information. This situation is typical of the market environment, and some restrictions on access to statistical data are irremovable. This fact reduces the opportunity to apply formal and rigorous evaluation methods and the objectivity level of not only the forecast indicators, but also of the current ones. The coordination of these documents is methodologically and practically relevant due to the relative isolation of their formation process, a different level of detailing of the forecast scenarios, and a lack of the required information. The author uses the energy saving and energy efficiency measurement technique that is based on the structural comparison of performance, current and estimated fuel and energy balances, consistent with the region’s socio-economic development forecast. The author is also concerned with the development of this technique for the purpose of a comparative regional energy consumption analysis in retrospective and predictive periods. Since 2007, the author has been involved in practical calculations within the framework of the state order of the Ministry of Energy, Housing and Utilities of the Sverdlovsk Region. The article describes methodological characteristics of the author’s approaches to the development of variants of the fuel and energy balance, taking into account maintaining the official scenarios of socio-economic development of the region, the errors and the incompleteness of statistical data, and the regulatory requirements pertaining to the quality of forecasts

Ecological Life Cycle Assessment Modified Novolaks Waste Used in Industrial Wastewater Treatment

Ecological Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) applied in the assessment of the impact of products on the environment is a technique that allows for the evaluation of the environmental impact of polymeric flocculants used in industrial wastewater treatment. The possibility of conducting a full life cycle and thus manufacturing process analysis allows for reliable and accurate identification of the sources of environmental hazards and the impact of new products on the environment. Newly synthesized waste-based polymers are water soluble and possess the properties of flocculants, while reducing the parameters in industrial wastewater. In the paper, there are presented the results of the analysis conducted using LCA technique for the assessment of the impact of modified waste phenol formaldehyde resin (Novolak) on the environment. LCA technique was used to assess the impact of the new flocculant applied in the process of metallurgical wastewater treatment taking into account the environmental impact of the fl occulant manufacturing process
