Attribute Selection Algorithm with Clustering based Optimization Approach based on Mean and Similarity Distance

    Get PDF
With hundreds or thousands of attributes in high-dimensional data, the computational workload is challenging. Attributes that have no meaningful influence on class predictions throughout the classification process increase the computing load. This article's goal is to use attribute selection to reduce the size of high-dimensional data, which will lessen the computational load. Considering selected attribute subsets that cover all attributes. As a result, there are two stages to the process: filtering out superfluous information and settling on a single attribute to stand in for a group of similar but otherwise meaningless characteristics. Numerous studies on attribute selection, including backward and forward selection, have been undertaken. This experiment and the accuracy of the categorization result recommend a k-means based PSO clustering-based attribute selection. It is likely that related attributes are present in the same cluster while irrelevant attributes are not identified in any clusters. Datasets for Credit Approval, Ionosphere, Annealing, Madelon, Isolet, and Multiple Attributes are employed alongside two other high-dimensional datasets. Both databases include the class label for each data point. Our test demonstrates that attribute selection using k-means clustering may be done to offer a subset of characteristics and that doing so produces classification outcomes that are more accurate than 80%

As the complexity of medical computing increases the use of intelligent methods based on methods of soft computing also increases. During current decade this intelligent computing involves various meta-heuristic algorithms for Optimization. Many new meta-heuristic algorithms are proposed in last few years. The dimension of this data has also wide. Feature selection processes play an important role in these types of wide data. In intelligent computation feature selection is important phase after the pre-processing phase. The success of any model depends on how better optimization algorithms is used. Sometime single optimization algorithms are not enough in order to produce better result. In this paper meta-heuristic algorithm like butterfly optimization algorithm and enhanced lion optimization algorithm are used to show better accuracy in feature selection. The study focuses on nature based integrated meta-heuristic algorithm like Butterfly Optimization and lion-based optimization. Also, in this paper various other Optimization algorithms are analyzed. The study shows how integrated methods are useful to enhance the accuracy of any computing model to solve Complex problems. Here experimental result has shown by proposing and hybrid model for two major psychiatric disorders one is known as autism spectrum and second one is Parkinson's disease

Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm Based on Dynamic Adaptive Search Strategy

The particle swarm system simulates the evolution of the social mechanism. In this system, the individual particle representing the potential solution flies in the multidimensional space in order to find the better or the optimal solution. But because of the search path and limited speed, it's hard to avoid local best and the premature phenomenon occurs easily. Based on the uncertain principle of the quantum mechanics, the global search ability of the quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO) algorithms are better than the particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO). On the basis of the fundamental quantum PSO algorithm, this article introduces the grouping optimization strategy, and meanwhile adopts the dynamic adjustment, quantum mutation and possibility acceptance criteria to improve the global search capability of the algorithm and avoid premature convergence phenomenon. By optimizing the test functions, the experimental simulation shows that the proposed algorithm has better global convergence and search ability

Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is a heuristic global optimization method, proposed originally by Kennedy and Eberhart in 1995. It is now one of the most commonly used optimization techniques. This survey presented a comprehensive investigation of PSO. On one hand, we provided advances with PSO, including its modifications (including quantum-behaved PSO, bare-bones PSO, chaotic PSO, and fuzzy PSO), population topology (as fully connected, von Neumann, ring, star, random, etc.), hybridization (with genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, Tabu search, artificial immune system, ant colony algorithm, artificial bee colony, differential evolution, harmonic search, and biogeography-based optimization), extensions (to multiobjective, constrained, discrete, and binary optimization), theoretical analysis (parameter selection and tuning, and convergence analysis), and parallel implementation (in multicore, multiprocessor, GPU, and cloud computing forms). On the other hand, we offered a survey on applications of PSO to the following eight fields: electrical and electronic engineering, automation control systems, communication theory, operations research, mechanical engineering, fuel and energy, medicine, chemistry, and biology. It is hoped that this survey would be beneficial for the researchers studying PSO algorithms

The review covers a wide range of research, including the application of meta-heuristic algorithms in engine calibration, optimizing engine control systems, engine fault diagnosis, and optimizing different parts of engines and modeling. The meta-heuristic algorithms reviewed in this paper include evolutionary algorithms, evolution strategy, evolutionary programming, genetic programming, differential evolution, estimation of distribution algorithm, ant colony optimization, particle swarm optimization, memetic algorithms, and artificial immune system

A Survey on Particle Swarm Optimization for Association Rule Mining

    Get PDF
Association rule mining (ARM) is one of the core techniques of data mining to discover potentially valuable association relationships from mixed datasets. In the current research, various heuristic algorithms have been introduced into ARM to address the high computation time of traditional ARM. Although a more detailed review of the heuristic algorithms based on ARM is available, this paper differs from the existing reviews in that we expected it to provide a more comprehensive and multi-faceted survey of emerging research, which could provide a reference for researchers in the field to help them understand the state-of-the-art PSO-based ARM algorithms. In this paper, we review the existing research results. Heuristic algorithms for ARM were divided into three main groups, including biologically inspired, physically inspired, and other algorithms. Additionally, different types of ARM and their evaluation metrics are described in this paper, and the current status of the improvement in PSO algorithms is discussed in stages, including swarm initialization, algorithm parameter optimization, optimal particle update, and velocity and position updates. Furthermore, we discuss the applications of PSO-based ARM algorithms and propose further research directions by exploring the existing problems.publishedVersio
