Updating the Input Output based Macmod functions

The present paper reports on a statistical effort undertaken for the Macmod project. It reports on the revision and updating of the Tanzanian Input-Output table for 1992. These IO activities are undertaken in order to furnish the Macmod model with production and consumption functions that are up-to-date, commodity specific with respect to inputs, and explicit in respect of the input origin.Input Output tables Statistical analysis Tanzania

Input-Output-to-State Stability

This work explores Lyapunov characterizations of the input-output-to-state stability (IOSS) property for nonlinear systems. The notion of IOSS is a natural generalization of the standard zero-detectability property used in the linear case. The main contribution of this work is to establish a complete equivalence between the input-output-to-state stability property and the existence of a certain type of smooth Lyapunov function. As corollaries, one shows the existence of ``norm-estimators'', and obtains characterizations of nonlinear detectability in terms of relative stability and of finite-energy estimates.Comment: Many related papers can be found in: http://www.math.rutgers.edu/~sonta

Analisis Input-Output Atas Dampak Sektor Pariwisata terhadap Perekonomian Maluku

Sebagai provinsi bahari, Maluku memiliki potensi pariwisata yang beragam. Potensi ini dapat diberdayakan bagi pengembangan perekonomian Provinsi Maluku yang selama ini masih masuk dalam kategori daerah tertinggal. Menggunakan analisis input-output, studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti seberapa besar pengaruh investasi pada industri pariwisata dan sektor pendukungnya terhadap perekonomian Provinsi Maluku. Analisis dilakukan untuk melihat efek pengganda, dampak terhadap output dan upah secara keseluruhan, dan sentralitas sektor pariwisata dalam perekonomian Provinsi Maluku. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa investasi pada sektor-sektor ini memiliki dampak yang dapat diperhitungkan bagi perekonomian Provinsi Maluku

Input, Output, and Behavioral Additionality of Innovation Subsidies

Using a Conditional Difference in Difference procedure and data for Colombia, we determine if firms that receive subsidies to innovation in the period 2010-2016 present additionality on input, output, and behavioral innovation variables. We found that there are differences among the additionalities of small and medium firms (SMEs) and big firms, and the existence of a crowding-out effect for internal R&D expenditures in SMEs. At the same time, we found additionality on R&D employment for all types of firms and the presence of experience effects introduced by subsidies, especially for SMEs. These effects are related to positive additionalities. At the same time, we cannot find additionality effects on patents and trademarks. However, we found negative additionality on sales of big companies that we relate with the way we measure this variable
