Cloud Multi-Tenancy: Issues and Developments
Cloud Computing (CC) is a computational paradigm that
provides pay-per use services to customers from a pool of
networked computing resources that are provided on demand.
Customers therefore does not need to worry about infrastructure
or storage. Cloud Service Providers (CSP) make custom built
applications available to customers online. Also, organisations
and enterprises can build and deploy applications based on
platforms provided by the Cloud service provider. Scalable
storage and computing resources is also made available to
consumers on the Clouds at a cost. Cloud Computing takes
virtualization a step further through the use of virtual machines,
it allows several customers share the same physical machine. In
addition, it is possible for numerous customers to share
applications provided by a CSP; this sharing model is known as
multi-tenancy. Though Multi-tenancy has its drawbacks but
however, it is highly desirable based on its cost efficiency. This
paper presents the comprehensive study of existing literatures
on relevant issues and development relating to cloud multitenancy
using reliable methods. This study examines recent
trends in the area of cloud multi-tenancy and provides a guide
for future research. The analyses of this comprehensive study
was based on the following questions relating to recent study in
multi-tenancy which are: what is the current trend and
development in cloud multi-tenancy? Existing publications were
analyzed in this area including journals, conferences, white
papers and publications in reputable magazines. The expected
result at the end of this review is the identification of trends in
cloud multi-tenancy. This will be of benefit to prospective cloud
users and even cloud providers
A comparison framework and review of service brokerage solutions for cloud architectures
Cloud service brokerage has been identified as a key concern
for future cloud technology development and research. We compare service brokerage solutions. A range of specific concerns like architecture, programming and quality will be looked at. We apply a 2-pronged classification and comparison framework.We will identify challenges and wider research objectives based on an identification of cloud broker architecture concerns and technical requirements for service brokerage solutions.
We will discuss complex cloud architecture concerns such as commoditisation and federation of integrated, vertical cloud stacks

Abstract- Cloud computing is Internet-based computing, whereby shared resources, software and information, are provided to computers and devices on-demand, like the electricity grid. It aims to construct a perfect system with powerful computing capability through a large number of relatively low-cost computing entity, and using the advanced business models like SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) to distribute the powerful computing capacity to end users’ hands. Cloud Computing represents a new computing model that poses many demanding security issues at all levels, e.g., network, host, application, and data levels. The variety of the delivery models presents different security challenges depending on the model and consumers’ Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability, Authenticity, and Privacy are essential concerns for both Cloud providers and consumers as well. Towards Process Support for Migrating Applications to Cloud Computing
Cloud computing is an active area of research for industry and academia. There are a large number of organizations providing cloud computing infrastructure and services. In order to utilize these infrastructure resources and services, existing applications need to be migrated to clouds. However, a successful migration effort needs well-defined process support. It does not only help to identify and address challenges associated with migration but also provides a strategy to evaluate different platforms in relation to application and domain specific requirements. This paper present a process framework for supporting migration to cloud computing based on our experiences from migrating an Open Source System (OSS), Hackystat, to two different cloud computing platforms. We explained the process by performing a comparative analysis of our efforts to migrate Hackystate to Amazon Web Services and Google App Engine. We also report the potential challenges, suitable solutions, and lesson learned to support the presented process framework. A Process Framework for Managing Quality of Service in Private Cloud
As information systems leaders tap into the global market of cloud computing-based services, they struggle to maintain consistent application performance due to lack of a process framework for managing quality of service (QoS) in the cloud. Guided by the disruptive innovation theory, the purpose of this case study was to identify a process framework for meeting the QoS requirements of private cloud service users. Private cloud implementation was explored by selecting an organization in California through purposeful sampling. Information was gathered by interviewing 23 information technology (IT) professionals, a mix of frontline engineers, managers, and leaders involved in the implementation of private cloud. Another source of data was documents such as standard operating procedures, policies, and guidelines related to private cloud implementation. Interview transcripts and documents were coded and sequentially analyzed. Three prominent themes emerged from the analysis of data: (a) end user expectations, (b) application architecture, and (c) trending analysis. The findings of this study may help IT leaders in effectively managing QoS in cloud infrastructure and deliver reliable application performance that may help in increasing customer population and profitability of organizations. This study may contribute to positive social change as information systems managers and workers can learn and apply the process framework for delivering stable and reliable cloud-hosted computer applications
