Edge Computing und Industrie 4.0. Anwendungsbereiche in der Schweizer Fertigungsindustrie

Durch die industrielle, digitale Transformation, insbesondere durch die Vernetzung von Fertigungsanlagen, wird zusehends eine sehr große Datenmenge in der Schweizer Fertigungsindustrie generiert. Viele Daten bleiben dabei lokal (oft) ungenutzt oder werden über weite Transportwege an zentrale Rechenzentren zur Analyse gesendet. Vor diesem Hintergrund stellt sich die Frage, wie Daten so genutzt werden können, dass lange Transportwege entfallen und zeitgleich, durch die Verarbeitung dieser Daten, Wissen generiert werden kann. Dieser Beitrag liefert erste Antworten auf der Basis von empirischen Erkenntnissen, welche durch Befragungen von Anbietern, Beratungsunternehmen und Fertigungsunternehmen im Bereich Edge Computing durchgeführt wurden. Dabei liefert die vorliegende Studie Erkenntnisse in den Bereichen technisches Verständnis, Geschäftsmodelle und Anwendungsszenarien sowie praktische Umsetzungen im Sinne von Pilotierungen und Rollouts als Proof of Concept

UseDa - un nouvel outil de base de données sur les utilisations ethnobotaniques des plantes de l'Afrique de l'Ouest

Das Wissen über die Nutzung von Wildpflanzen in Westafrika und ihre verschiedenen Anwendungen ist in zahlreichen, breit gestreuten Publikationen dokumentiert und oft in Form von grauer Literatur schwer zugänglich. Mehrere Online-Datenbanken umfassen Informationen aus diesen Quellen und bieten zusammenfassende Kurzbeschreibungen der Pflanzen Nutzungen. Unser Ziel ist es, zusätzlich eine Datenbank (UseDa) für ethnobotanische Primärdaten aus Interviews aufzubauen. Damit können quantitative Daten extrahiert und synthetisiert werden. Es können Datensätze nach verschiedenen Fragestellungen analysiert werden, z.B. der Frage nach verwendeten Arten in bestimmten Gebieten, durch verschiedene ethnische Gruppen oder unterschiedliche Nutzergruppen, was für die praktische Anwendung auf lokaler Ebene von Bedeutung ist. In diesem Artikel geben wir einen Überblick über den technischen Aufbau und den Inhalt der Datenbank und diskutieren am Ende den möglichen Output für die praktische Anwendung. Die Datenbank wurde im Rahmen des EU-geförderten Projekt UNDESERT aufgebaut.Knowledge about useful plants and their various applications in West Africa is scattered over many publications and often in form of grey literature difficult to access. Several online-databases compile large scale information from these sources and provide comprehensive summarized descriptions of plant usages. Our aim is to additionally build up a database (UseDa) for primary ethnobotanical interview data. Thus, quantitative data can be extracted and synthesized and data sets can be treated according to different research questions analyzing for example uses in specific areas, of different ethnic groups or user groups, which is essential for practical applications on a local level. In this article we give an overview on the technical structure and the content of the database and discuss at the end the possible output for practical application. The database was set up in the frame of the EU-funded Project UNDESERT.La connaissance sur les plantes utiles et leurs diverses applications en Afrique de l'Ouest sont dispersées sur de nombreuses publications et souvent difficiles d'accès car souvent publiées sous la forme de littérature grise. Plusieurs bases de données en ligne compilent à grande échelle des informations provenant de ces sources et fournissent des descriptions synthétiques des usages des plantes. Notre objectif est de construire une base de données (UseDa) pour les données primaires des enquêtes ethnobotaniques. Ainsi, les données quantitatives peuvent être extraite et synthétisée et elles peuvent être traitées selon différentes questions de recherche analysant par exemple leurs utilisations dans des zones spécifiques, par différents groupes ethniques ou groupes d'utilisateurs, ce qui est essentiel pour les applications pratiques au niveau local. Dans cet article, nous donnons un aperçu sur la structure technique et le contenu de la base de données et discutons à la fin les options possibles pour une application pratique. Im Berichtszeitraum gab es mehrere Tagungen mit Schwerpunkten zur Getreideernte. Sehr stark zugenommen haben die Publikationen zur Simulation der Förder-, Entmischungs- und Reinigungsvorgänge im Mähdrescher. Die Weiterentwicklung der Antriebstechnik fokussiert sich auf die Optimierung bestehender hydrostatischer oder mechanischer Antriebe sowie der Diskussion zu elektrischen Antrieben.During the reporting period several meetings with emphasis on grain harvest have took place. Publications about the simulation of transport, separation and cleaning processes in the combine have increased by number. The development of drive technology focused on optimizing of the existing hydrostatic or mechanical drives as well as the discussion of electric drives

Potencijal čvrste biomase iz poljoprivrede u Mađarskoj i Srbiji

The research aimed to measure the quantity of agricultural biomass suitable for energy purposes at regional level (mostly in Serbia and Hungary). Furthermore, our common research also aimed to determine the potential of biomass for energy purposes with regards to the grown plants. We also aimed to name the possibilities and ways of utilization of the solid biomasses of various origins. Experiments of this kind have already commenced in Hungary and Serbia, in the Gödöllő-based Hungarian Institute of Agricultural Engineering and the Institute of Agricultural Engineering of the Faculty of Agriculture in Beograd. The potentials of different types of solid biomass from agriculture are presented in the paper. The survey has included the comparative presentation of solid biomass potentials in Hungary and Serbia.U ovom istraživanju vršenaje procena dostupne količine biomase iz poljoprivrede, koja se može iskoristiti za dobijanje energije na regionalnom nivou (Srbija i Mađarska). Uz to, naše zajedničko istraživanje imalo je za cilj i da odredi potencijal biomase za dobijanje energije u odnosu na vrste proizvedene biljne mase. Konačno, pokušali smo i da sagledamo mogućnosti i načine za ujednačavanje čvrste biomase različitog porekla. Slični ogledi su već izvođeni u Mađarskoj i Srbiji, u Mađarskom institutu za poljoprivrednu tehniku u Gödöllő i Institutu za poljoprivrednu tehniku Poljoprivrednog fakulteta u Beogradu. U radu su predstavljeni potencijali različitih tipova čvrste biomase iz poljoprivrede. Pregled je obuhvatio komparativnu prezentaciju potencijala biomase Mađarske i Srbije
