Excitation transport through Rydberg dressing
We show how to create long range interactions between alkali-atoms in
different hyper-fine ground states, allowing coherent electronic quantum state
migration. The scheme uses off resonant dressing with atomic Rydberg states,
exploiting the dipole-dipole excitation transfer that is possible between
those. Actual population in the Rydberg state is kept small. Dressing offers
large advantages over the direct use of Rydberg levels: It reduces ionisation
probabilities and provides an additional tuning parameter for life-times and
interaction-strengths. We present an effective Hamiltonian for the ground-state
manifold and show that it correctly describes the full multi-state dynamics for
up to 5 atoms.Comment: 22 pages + 6 pages appendices, 8 figures, replaced with revised

Bacterial Growth Kinetics under a Novel Flexible Methacrylate Dressing Serving as a Drug Delivery Vehicle for Antiseptics
A flexible methacrylate powder dressing (Altrazeal®) transforms into a wound contour conforming matrix once in contact with wound exudate. We hypothesised that it may also serve as a drug delivery vehicle for antiseptics. The antimicrobial efficacy and influence on bacterial growth kinetics in combination with three antiseptics was investigated in an in vitro porcine wound model. Standardized in vitro wounds were contaminated with Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA; ATCC 33591) and divided into six groups: no dressing (negative control), methacrylate dressing alone, and combinations with application of 0.02% Polyhexamethylene Biguanide (PHMB), 0.4% PHMB, 0.1% PHMB + 0.1% betaine, 7.7 mg/mL Povidone-iodine (PVP-iodine), and 0.1% Octenidine-dihydrochloride (OCT) + 2% phenoxyethanol. Bacterial load per gram tissue was measured over five days. The highest reduction was observed with PVP-iodine at 24 h to log10 1.43 cfu/g, followed by OCT at 48 h to log10 2.41 cfu/g. Whilst 0.02% PHMB resulted in a stable bacterial load over 120 h to log10 4.00 cfu/g over 120 h, 0.1% PHMB + 0.1% betaine inhibited growth during the first 48 h, with slightly increasing bacterial numbers up to log10 5.38 cfu/g at 120 h. These results indicate that this flexible methacrylate dressing can be loaded with various antiseptics serving as drug delivery system. Depending on the selected combination, an individually shaped and controlled antibacterial effect may be achieved using the same type of wound dressing
Flavor mixing in the gluino coupling and the nucleon decay
Flavor mixing in the quark-squark-gluino coupling is studied for the minimal
SU(5) SUGRA-GUT model and applied to evaluation of the nucleon lifetime. All
off-diagonal (generation mixing) elements of Yukawa coupling matrices and of
squark/slepton mass matrices are included in solving numerically one-loop
renormalization group equations for MSSM parameters, and the parameter region
consistent with the radiative electroweak symmetry breaking condition is
searched. It is shown that the flavor mixing in the gluino coupling for a large
is of the same order of magnitude as the corresponding
Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element in both up-type and down-type sector. There
exist parameter regions where the nucleon decay amplitudes for charged lepton
modes are dominated by the gluino dressing process, while for all the examined
regions the neutrino mode amplitudes are dominated by the wino dressing over
the gluino dressing.Comment: 24 pages, LaTeX, figures are available upon request.

USING PLANTS FOR GREENING OF TAILING PONDS OF IRON ORE COMBINES OF KRYVYI RIH AREA
The tailing ponds of the iron ore-dressing combines occupy thousands of hectares in Kryvyi
Rih area and create a serious ecologic problem in this region. If the surface of the tailing ponds
dries up, it leads to dust storms, which often cover housing areas of the city as well as surrounding
villages. To green these tailing ponds is one of the most reliable methods of dust suppression.
However, the solving of this problem is fraught with a number of difficulties because very restricted
quantity of herbaceous plant species can survive in the sludge substrate under conditions of the
steppe zone of Ukraine
Western Films and Youth Dressing Pattern in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions
This research is focused on the influence of western films on youths dressing pattern in Taraba State University, Jalingo. The study postulated that it is possible for youths to be dissuaded from indecent dressing projected by western films. The survey design was used to gather the data for the study in which 220 questionnaires were administered among students of Taraba State University, Jalingo and 200 was retrieved and used for the analysis. Findings showed that hip hop/hippies, corporate/cocktail and make up/hairstyle are the most imitated forms/styles of dressings by youths in American films and that such forms of dressing to a large extent influences youths choice of dressing. Some of the recommendations proffered for reversing the trend are: proper parenting and counseling, uncompromising religious teaching and establishment of dress code by tertiary institutions. Cooling Global Warming Through Transit
For generations, cars have been cool because they are perceived to correlate to independence and wealth. People’s attachment to their cars is one of the most cited examples of why government doesn’t want to invest in mass transit. Accompanying this ideology is an underlying fear and distaste for buses. Recently, Cleveland purposely avoided such a stigma in naming its new bus line “The Health Line” and referring to it always as rapid transit. Yet, providing “cool” features to buses, like making them hybrid or dressing them up like quaint trolleys, has been largely unsuccessful in overhauling the image of buses. Buses aren’t cool. Yet
From nesting to dressing
In integrable field theories the S-matrix is usually a product of a
relatively simple matrix and a complicated scalar factor. We make an
observation that in many relativistic integrable field theories the scalar
factor can be expressed as a convolution of simple kernels appearing in the
nested levels of the nested Bethe ansatz. We formulate a proposal, up to some
discrete ambiguities, how to reconstruct the scalar factor from the nested
Bethe equations and check it for several relativistic integrable field
theories. We then apply this proposal to the AdS asymptotic Bethe ansatz and
recover the dressing factor in the integral representation of Dorey, Hofman and
Maldacena.Comment: 23 pages, no figures; v2: small improvements, references adde
The nutritional composition of mayonnaise and salad dressing in the Malaysian market
Mayonnaise and salad dressing are fast becoming popular condiments for Malaysian. The aim of this study was to obtain the nutritional composition of mayonnaise and salad dressing commercially available in the Malaysian market. The data will be used to update the Malaysian Food Composition Database which was last updated in 1997. A total of six brands from each type of mayonnaise and salad dressing were sampled from local supermarkets in the Klang Valley and analysed using standard methods. The validity of test data was monitored with the application of internal quality controls in line with the requirements of ISO 17025. The energy contents of mayonnaise and salad dressings were up to 626.40 kcal/100 g. Our findings were also in agreement with the energy labelling on the packaging. Sodium was high in mayonnaise and salad dressing because it is used in the final mixture of both condiments to improve their characteristics for certain reasons. Mayonnaise and salad dressing have been identified as potent sources of vitamin A and vitamin E and both condiments were found to contain high levels of these antioxidants. It can be concluded that this study are useful not only in providing information on the nutritional content of several commercial types of mayonnaise and salad dressing, but also in improving the public understanding of healthy food choices
Effectiveness Wound Care Using Modern Dressing Method to Diabetic Wound Healing Process of Patient with Diabetes Mellitus
Diabetes mellitus causes a lot of various complaints and complications. One of the most serious and most common complications is diabetic ulcers. Prevention of diabetic ulcer complications can be done with comprehensive wound care. The Appropriate wound care management can prevent amputation. One of a method of wound care that can accelerate the wound healing process is modern dressing wounds. This researched aim to analyze the effectiveness of wound care using modern dressing method to the diabetes mellitus patients. The research design was pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test with 15 samples. The data analyzed using Paired T-test. The result of data analysis using Paired T-test with significance level of 5% obtained à= 0,000 and the average value of wound development before and after wound treatment using modern dressing method has decrease from 39,67to 29,93 because wound care with modern dressing method make environment of wound is moist so that capitalization and granulation process growth up be faster. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of wound care using modern dressing method to the wound healing process with diabetes mellitus
