    Industry 4.0 in the Theme Park Sector: Design of a RealTime Monitoring System for Queue Management

    The theme park industry is a consolidated sector where different industrial technologies and management procedures are present. However, the Industry 4.0 paradigm aims at disrupting how industrial processes are conceived. In this thesis, we perform a thorough investigation of key relevant features of theme parks and how industry 4.0 could be applied within the theme park sector. Our methodology is as follows. First, we analyse the technology used in the most innovative attractions. Afterwards, we focus on the most recurrent problem within the sector: queue management at attractions. As part of the solution, a system is designed to allow real-time monitoring of waiting times through an IoT infrastructure. Radio Fre- quency Identification and Bluetooth Low Energy are the chosen technologies for people counting. They allow users to be located in the park in addition to counting. This system gives precise waiting times estimates, and park managers can obtain precious data about user behaviour and preferences. Finally, we develop a proof of concept to test the designed solution and detail the benefits of applying industry 4.0 to the theme park sector.Máster en Industria Conectada 4.

    This paper aims to explore the possibilities that robotic technologies, namely robotic arms and drones, bring to architecture and to the construction sector. The developed research was based in an extensive literature review, in the conceptualization of three experiments to be done with drones and in interviews with Fabio Gramazio, Tobias Bonwetsch (ETH Zurich) and José Pedro Sousa (FAUP). The paper starts by presenting a brief story of the introduction of robotic technologies in other industries and identifies the robotic technologies that are presently use, mainly in research, to assemble construction elements – drones and robotic arms. We then analyze the few case studies of construction performed with drones and robotic arms. Three experiments are idealized next in order to clarify the main difficulties of each action of construction performed by a robot. The advances in robotic construction are visible and growing every year. In dieser Arbeit werden Textdaten von Marken untersucht, um verschiedene Rechte des geistigen Eigentums zu kombinieren. Textdaten ermöglichen zum Beispiel die Analyse großer Datenmengen, die Kombination verschiedener Quellen und datengestützte Erkenntnisse. Die Kombination von Handelsmarken und Patenten in den Bereichen Robotik (Hightech) und Schuhe (Lowtech) bietet eine breitere Abdeckung und Details zu Innovationen, die je nach Sektor variieren. Im Musikinstrumentensektor verdeutlichen Textdaten zu Marken, Patenten und Designs den laufenden technologischen Wandel. Patente beziehen sich auf Daten und Digitalisierungsthemen und werden von High-Tech-Firmen genutzt, während Handelsmarken die Signalverarbeitung und Videospiele von Spielfirmen abdecken. Designs fungieren als verbindendes Element. Eine Differenzierung zwischen Unternehmen und Tätigkeitsbereichen ist möglich.     The premise of this paper is to examine the healing and therapeutic nature of humor in the counseling relationship. Discussion will focus on the cognitive, emotional, and physical benefits of humor, as well as the methods and techniques used to implement humor and laughter into therapeutic practice. The best practices, benefits, and recommendations for using humor in the therapeutic relationship are reviewed, emphasizing type of humor and assessing client for appropriate use. Application of humor in times of grief and loss is explored, offering insight to the resilience that can be found in the human spirit. Humor is studied as a promoter self-care, social connection, optimism, and new perspectives. Criticisms and concerns for the use of humor in therapy are considered, noting the continued need for research on the subject. The aim of this analysis is to revive the topic and use of humor in the mental health counseling field
